"Daddy, I don't like this chicken." Guilia whined with a pout.
"What's wrong with it, Chunks?" I asked.
"It not taste yummy like my mommy's chicken." I twisted my lips to the side as she pushed it to one side.
It's not that the chicken didn't taste good, it's just that she's used to her mother's honey barbecue wings and not just plain breaded wings like Krystal likes.
"You want me to add sauce to it?" I asked.
"Nuh-uh." She shook her head. "It still won't taste like my mommy's." She declined.
"Want me to fry you up some bacon instead?" I asked and watched as she nodded excitedly.
"Yes please." She added.
"Cool." I stood up from the table and got the bacon out of the freezer. I went ahead and ran it in the microwave for a few seconds as I heated up the skillet.
After preparing the bacon for Guilia, I took it back to the table for her as I rejoined her to resume eating myself.
"Daddy, why is your house so big and it's just you living here?" Guilia asked being her normal inquisitive and observant self.
"Uh, Daddy bought this house for the three of us." I tried to give her a simple answer.
"It's only two of us here, Daddy." She pointed out as she held up two fingers, making me smile a bit. I knew that Julliet was probably teaching her to count in simple ways already.
"Yeah, I know that baby, but Mommy would've have made us three." I clarified.
"Oh." She nodded slowly in realization. "So why doesn't Mommy ever come here then?"
"It's a bit hard to explain to you, baby. When you get older me and Mommy will tell you." I assured her.
"But I wanna know now." She pouted.
"Mommy's super mad at Daddy." I surrendered before she began whining.
"Were you bad?" She asked.
"Yes baby. Daddy was bad." I chuckled.
"Well, just kiss her and tell her you're sorry and you love her." She shrugged. "It works for me." She smiled innocently.
"It won't work for Daddy." I chuckled a bit.
"You must've been really bad." She cupped her hands over her mouth.
"Something like that." I nodded.

"Hi Daddy." I smiled as I entered the living room, taking a seat on the couch beside him.
"Hi Princess." He draped his arm over my shoulder and kissed my temple.
"How are you feeling?" I asked.
"Could be better, but it could also be worse, so I'm not complaining." She shrugged.
"Cool." I smiled as I snugged into him a bit more.
"How about you?" He asked. "How have you been?"
"Fine." I shrugged.
"It's almost been two years, Julliet and you still haven't moved on from Geovanni." He pointed out.
"You let fifteen years pass you by and still jumped at the first opportunity to have my mother back." I counterd.
"And I never said that still being in love with him is all bad. He probably loves you too." He offered.
