--Geovanni Parris--

Julliet and I had currently bought a building together, which she intends to turn into a café called Guilia's.

"I am so tired." Julliet mumbled from the passenger's seat.

Glancing over at her, I chuckled a little. We were painting Guilia's together and somehow she'd managed to get paint on her nose, her hands and in her hair.

"You are the messiest painter I've ever met." I smiled at her.

"I thought you liked when I do it messy." She pouted and whined before she gave a tired laugh.

"Correction; I love it when you do it messy." I smirked.

"Mhmm." She smiled to herself as she leaned more into her seat, closing her eyes.

"You 'bouta go to sleep on me huh?" I asked while rubbing her leg, though I already knew the answer.

"Mhm." She moaned in exhaustion.

"Coo'. I'mma just swing by the store to get some things for dinner and then we'd just go home."

I was currently walking around in the supermarket looking for the items I'd need to make dinner for Julliet and I.

Just as I reached up to grab a can of beans, the same obnoxious chick from the other day popped up, making me roll my eyes.

"Hi... Geovanni, right?" She smiled sheepishly.

"Yeah." I nodded, trying my best to ignore her agg ass. I put the beans in my cart and walked away and noticed that she followed.

"How are you?" I huffed at her question and rolled my eyes.

"I'm a'ight." I mumbled.

"Are you always this rude?" She asked, causing me to scoff.

"Are you always this friendly or are you just feeling a nigga?" I snapped back.

"I'm friendly, I guess." She shrugged.

"If my girl were as friendly as your ass I wouldn't be with her ass." I rolled my eyes.

"So you're dating a bitch then?" She smirked.

"I don't think you know her well enough to be calling her out of her name and the fact that I just told you I have a girl, but you're still here smiling all up in my fucking face is the same reason why I said she couldn't be friendly like your whore ass." I snarled, causing her to mug me.

"Prick." She mumbled.

"The same prick you're wishing would've taken your number and let you suck his dick, but I'm too busy trying to find something to cook for my woman for dinner 'ho'e. Get the fuck outta my way 'fore I run ya' ass over with this hea' cart." I glared at her.

"Here's my number. You know, just in case your unfriendly girl is unable to show you a good time." She slipped what seemed like a business card into the pocket of my hoodie before walking off.

--Lillet Morrison--

"When are you going to tell them, Jan?" I asked as I watched him pop another piece of fruit into his mouth.

"They don't have to know." He shrugged.

"What do mean they don't need to know, Jan?" I semi-yelled. "You going to let them find out the day you drop dead?" I scoffed.

"Listen, Julliet and Geovanni are very happy not knowing about my cancer, Lillet." He retorted.

"Do you think they'll be happy when they find out that you kept it from them?" I continued with my interrogation anyway.

"They won't have any choice but to accept it." He snarled.

"You're such a selfish man, Jan." I shook my head at him.

"Like you were when you ran off with that punk?" He fired, causing me to quickly turn back toward him.

"I asked you if you were sure about wanting us back together and you said yes, so don't you dare throw that shit in my face." I demanded.

"What could you possibly do about it?" He gritted as I scoffed.

"Leave. That's what."

"You think I give a fuck if you leave, Lillet?" He yelled as he slammed his fist on the table. "If it's one thing I've learnt from they way you fucking treated me is how to live without your ass!" The volume and bass in his voice increased. "I've long realized that I may never stop loving you, but I sure as hell could live without you."

"With no doubt, I'm sure you can and I'm sure our daughter will be more than happy to see me go the way I came." I sighed.

"What does Julliet have to do with anything?" He yelled again.

Slowly releasing a deep breath, I could feel the tears about to fall.

"Don't act like you do not see the way she acts toward me. The girl hates me and I'm not sure I blame her, because as far as I could see, you hate me too." I huffed as I walked away from him.

"Lillet, I'm sorry. I didn't mean any of that." He quickly tried to apologize.

"Are you really sorry, Jan?" I scoffed. "We are too old to be arguing like Julliet and Geovanni."

"Because you hurt me when we were just slightly older than them!" He snapped.

"And you had sixteen years to get over it." I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, of which fifteen are the years you took to come back." He painstakingly whispered.

"Jan—" Before I could get my sentence out, he got up and left.

Sighing, I continued wiping the counters.

-- Geovanni Parris--

"Love me?" I whispered into Julliet's ear as she snuggled closer to me.

"Yes baby, I love you." She groaned.

"I love you too." I mumbled.

"Geo?" She questioned.

"Hmmm?"

"The other day, when you said that you intended to marry me, did you have a date or time frame in mind?" She questioned, causing my brows to furrow.

"Nah. Why?"

"I was scared, but I wanna get married to you too." She admitted. "I always have. Ever since—"

"That night you kissed me when we were younger." I finished her sentence.

"Yeah." She turned toward me. "I still want that someday."

"You'd get it, babe." I pecked her forehead. "I promise."

"For now, can I have a real kiss though?"

"Of course." I replied before kissing her passionately.

"Goodnight Geovanni." She whispered after we pulled apart.

"Goodnight babe."
