--Guilia Parris--

"Where are you coming from?" The sound of Mom's voice behind me caused me to gasp, flinch and close the door a bit harder than I intended.

I quickly turned toward her with wide eyes, she was wearing just her thong and bra, carrying two glasses water.

Ew.

I thought to myself as it became apparent that her and Dad were screwing.

"So, where are you coming from?" She repeated.

"Out." I ain't replied.

"Out where?" She raised a brow at me.

"Just out." I shrugged. She grimaced toward me and walked toward me.

"Is that weed, Lia?" She questioned. "You were out using weed?" She yelled. "Where the fuck did you get weed from?"

"You need to get dressed before you start telling at somebody." I retorted, causing her to drop one of the glasses, which surprisingly didn't shatter as she gasped right before she slapped me.

"What the hell's taking you so long, Jules?" Dad came down the stairs in just his underpants. He paused when he saw Mom mugging the hell out of me as I cupped my face where I'd received the slap.

"Your daughter was out getting high, that's what's taking me so long." Mom gritted.

"What the hell you getting high off of?" He asked, coming toward me as well.

"Weed." Mom added. "And she refused to tell me who her supplier is." Mom folded her arms across her chest.

"Who you buying weed from, Lia?" Dad asked.

"I don't know his name?"

"You don't know the name of your dealer?" He asked looking at me crazy.

"See?" Mom, pointed at me. "That's exactly what I'm talking about. She's not a responsible novice stoner." Mom stressed.

"Listen, Lia, we don't mind you smoking weed, but you gotta know who you're buying from. You can't trust just any dealer." Dad explained. "Hear what, whenever you feel like smoking, you and I will roll up together. Cool?" He asked.

"Cool." I nodded in agreement.

"And I'm sorry about getting disrespect earlier, Mom." I apologized as I picked the glass up from the floor. It did have a crack after all.

"That's ok." She shrugged. "Next time you know better."

"We got something to finish." Dad smirked at mom, causing me to cringe on the inside.

Suddenly, it seemed like they both forgot that I was standing there.

"Carry me." She pouted like a spoilt kid.

I watched as Dad swiftly and effortlessy scooped her up into his arms bridal style, causing her to giggle like a school girl as he made his way up the stairs with her.

It was hard to believe that my mother and father had issues if you viewed their relationship from the outside. I smiled a bit. Maybe it's their issues that made their bond so strong.

Sighing, I locked the door behind me and took the glass into the kitchen and dumped it.

"You got caught, huh?" Krys said, almost making me jump out of my skin as I abruptly turned toward him, clutching my chest.

"Shit, Krys!" I whisper-yelled. "Don't ever do that shit again!" I said, making him chuckle.

"How do you know?" I asked.

"I was coming in behind you, but stopped outside he door when I heard Mom's voice interrogating you." He explained.

"Where were you?" I asked.

"Business." He stated before mushing my forehead. "Find some."

"If you don't tell me, I'm telling Mom and Dad that you were creeping in at two in the morning too." I smirked.

"I was with Brianna." He shrugged.

"You guys are fucking?" I asked.

"No. We were just chilling." He shrugged. "Where were you?" He countered.

"You don't smell the weed?" I asked.

"Yeah and I could see your low ass eyes as well." We both cracked up.

"Wanna eat some snacks with me and watch t.v.?" I asked.

"You got the munchies, huh?" He questioned, causing me to nod. "Well, only if you forgive me and we're cool again." He shrugged.

"I forgive you, Krys and we're cool again." I laughed.

"Good." He smirked. "I love you, Lia."

"I love you too, Krys."

--Julliet Parris--

"Hey." I greeted Thalia as I slid into the booth opposite hers along with Geo.

"Hey." She smiled at us.

"Sup?" Geo chimed in, but he was high, so his slothfulness was forgiven.

"So, we're here to discuss the terms on which I could see you." I got straight to the point.

"Cool." She nodded.

"You look amazing by the way." I said, causing her to blush. The night we got drunk and had sex for the first time, I had complimented her in that same way and she blushed, but the only difference is then, we ended up kissing.

"Thanks." She smiled.

"You're welcome." I shrugged.

"Julliet like you too." Geo butted in, causing me to blush this time. "She tripping like she don't, but she do." He shrugged. "And I could loan you my wife for a small fee, but you can't keep her." He rambled on.

"Forgive him, Ali, he's high." I shook my head.

"I could see." She chuckled.

"Lemme go check on this order." Geo announced. "A nigguh hungreh." He slid out of the booth and made his way back to the order counter. I hope these people don't end up throwing him out.

"So..." I trailed.

"So..." She mimicked.

"How do you suppose we're going to do this?" I questioned.

"Well, I don't know." She shrugged. "We really can't use my place that often anymore." She shrugged.

"Why?" I asked.

"Elliott's moving back in next week." She shrugged.

"Ohh..." I trailed. "Congrats." I offered.

"Thanks." She smiked. "Jules, I'm sorry about the argument the other night. I was being selfish, I wanted you to myself, but you already belong to someone."

"And so do you." I chuckled. "But, I understand." I nodded. "I wanted both you and Geo, but I was afraid he wouldn't be with it, so I kept this a secret and tried to downplay how you felt." I sighed. "I've been selfish too."

"It's ok." She shrugged. "My feelings haven't changed."

"And lying to myself hasn't changed mine either." I admitted.

"Your place?" She asked.

"Yeah. During the weekdays. School hours. The kids are gone." I shrugged. "Matter of fact, let's go now." I said as I stood. "He would just have to take his food to go."
