Five years later...

--Geovanni Parris--

"Daddy, I want this one." Genovia said as she waved a book around.

Me and the kids were in a book store, picking out books, because Julliet came up with a new rule that we each will read a new book every week.

"Charlotte's Webb." I mumbled the title to myself.

"That's too advanced for you, baby." I said and watched as she pouted. "Hear what, we'd get it for your sister and she could probably read it to you. There's also a movie about it, I'll buy it so we could all watch it, ok?" She nodded with a smug expression on her face. "Good. Now go look for something you could actually read by yourself." I chuckled as I took the book from her.

After everyone got their books and we paid, I took them for ice-cream, like I promised.

"I want cookies and cream, with cookie crumb toppings." Guilia announced as I made my way up to the counter. "Sugar cone, please." She added.

"I want pistachio, Dad." Krystopher announced. "Regular cone and I want nuts on mine."

"You're a boy, you not supposed to like nuts." Guilia teased Krys, causing me to mush the back of her head.

"You bet' not like 'em either." I scolded as Krys stuck his tongue out at her.

"Daddy?" Genovia pulled at the hem of my t-shirt.

"Yes baby?" I asked as I picked her up.

"Nobody's paying attention to me." She pouted and whined.

"I'm paying attention, Love. Tell Daddy what you want."

"I want Bubblegum with sprinkles." She looked at me with her beautiful, innocent, brown eyes.

"Sure, Love."

"You heard Mommy said that you baby her too much, put her down." Guilia decided to have an opinion.

"If you don't shut your smart mouth up, you'd be the only one without ice-cream."

I rolled my eyes at her as I turned my attention to the young woman behind the counter, who was basically drooling over me and gushing over the kids.

"Lemme get two scoops of pistachio with nuts, one scoop of bubblegum with sprinkles and two scoops of cookies and cream all on sugar cones for these Rugrats here. Then, let me get two scoops of vanilla on a regular cone with a cherry on top for me and for my wife..." I trailed as I smirked at the fact that her flirty smile immediately turned frown. "I want a tub of cookies and cream."

"Sure, will that be all?" She tried to play off her disappointment.

"Yeah, and make sure it's good, because if my Mommy's not happy, my Daddy's gonna come back and give you hell." Genovia giggled.

"Whatchu know about me, little girl?" I asked her.

"When we make Mommy upset, you whoop us." She sassed.

"Yeah, cause you're supposed to obey Mommy." I pecked her chubby little cheek.

"Don't flick me!" I heard Krystopher yell.

"Shut up, Wuss." Guilia's guilty ass scolded.

"Hey, cut it out!" I commanded, making them both straighten up immediately as I shook my head. "When I get in the car, you better know how your 14 by twelve multiples, Lia." I said, making Krys stick his tongue out at her. "And you better know your twelve by twelve multiples, Krys." I said, making him pout.

"Baybeh?' I called as I entered the house with the kids following behind me.

"I'm upstairs!" She yelled.

Julliet and I moved into a bigger house about three years ago. She was pregnant at the time and we definitely needed more room.

Unfortunately, she had a miscarriage, but we were able to buy a house exactly like she wanted five years ago when we last had to make up.

"Y'all go shower." I instructed Lia and Krys. "Lia, give your sister a bath while you're at it." I instructed further.

"Nooo!" Gen protested. "I don't want her to bathe me. She's too rough."

"Fine, bathe yourself, but Lia still has to monitor you." I instructed.

"Hmmm..." She trailed as she thought about it. "Ok." She agreed.

"Good." I said as I went to the kitchen to put up Julliet's ice-cream, before heading upstairs to her.

She was sitting Indian style on our bed as she read a book.

"Hello Beautiful." I greeted, making her blush as she placed the book on to the night stand and stood on her knees in the bed.

"Hey." She smiled widely.

"I missed you." I admitted as I pecked her lips.

"I missed you too." She mumbled as she deepened the kiss, moaning into it. "Yummy." She smirked. "Where are the kids?"

"Hopefully, showering like I asked." I said, making her giggle.

"Had fun?" She inquired.

"Somewhat." I sighed.

"They were bad?" She questioned knowingly.

"You know it." I confirmed. "Well, Krys and Lia were." I corrected.

"Those two are always fighting." She shook her head.

"What we got time for?" I questioned with a smirk.

"Quickie." She decided. "Ten minutes tops." She said as I nodded in agreement.

"Head or no head?" I asked.

"I want head." She shrugged.

"Cool." I nodded. "Lay back." I instructed. "Lemme take care of you."

Hearing me and Julliet's door click, my eyes flew open as I looked in its direction. Genovia's tiny silhouette appeared in the doorway as she entered our room, closing the door behind herself.

Shortly after, I felt her tiny body crawl it's way between her mother and I.

"Daddy?" She called, knowing that I'm the lighter sleeper.

"Yes baby?" I answered.

"There's a monster in my closet." She whispered.

There was one explanation for this theory, Krystopher.

"Why would you think that?" I asked her.

"I was watching monsters on t.v. with Krys and he said that the big, ugly one with fangs is in my closet."

"That's not true, Gen." I assured her as I wrapped my arm around her little frame.

"But could I still sleep here?" She asked.

"Of course." I assured her as I pecked her cheeks.

"Goodnight Daddy." She mumbled sleepily.

"Goodnight my lah' baybeh."
