--Julliet Morrison--

I was seated at the island in Geovanni's kitchen having the breakfast he prepared for me.

This was a daily ritual, he would make me breakfast and allow me to get ready for school without having to worry about fixing it myself.

Today, however, was Saturday and I had nothing on my to-do list.

Geo got in at three thirty this morning and I was trying to trust him, so I took his word for it yesterday when he said that he wasn't cheating. Due to him getting in so late and still waking up to fix me breakfast, he was asleep again.

The front door opened, which caused me to look up in its direction and in strolled my dad and a woman around his age. I'm not even sure why he had a key to Geo's condo. I rolled my eyes and kept my focus on my plate.

"Julliet?" He called, making me look at him once more with a mug affixed to my face.

"Look, if you want Geovanni, I'd gladly go and get him for you. We really do not have to be cordial" I huffed.

He cleared his throat and nodded, then stuffed his hands into his pockets as the lady pursed her lips, obviously appalled by my attitude, but I really didn't care.

"Before you get Geovanni, I'd like for you to meet someone." He stated. "Lillet, this is Julliet, your daughter and Julliet, this is your mother, Lillet."

Glaring at the both of them, I scoffed. Then, I turned my attention to Lillet, or whatever to find her attention already on me.

She's a very thin woman, but beautiful nonetheless.

"What do you want?" I spat at her, causing her to smirk.

"When I heard that you had an attitude like my own, I didn't think it'd be so spot on." She chuckled.

"Listen lady, thanks for giving birth to me and all, but don't you think it's a little too late for you to try being my mother?" I had absolutely no tolerance for her ass right now.

Sitting on a stool on the opposite side of the island, she held my stare.

"Oh, you need me. Even more now that you're pregnant." Tilting her head back a bit, she used her chin to signal toward the tiny bump which was now my stomach. "I needed my mother most when I discovered you were growing inside of me. She's told me so much about you."

"I don't even know your mother, lady." I rebutted. She gave my father a questioning look.

"I never told her." He shrugged.

"Told me what?" I questioned, looking back and forth between the both of them.

"Sweetie, Miss Elise is your Grandmother." My father informed me.

"Oh." I mumbled.

"Why aren't you living with your father?" She asked.

"He put me out because of my attitude." I admitted.

"Where is Geo, Julliet?" My dad questioned.

"He's asleep, Daddy." I shrugged.

"Still?" He inquired.

"He made me breakfast and went back to bed." I informed him. Just as the words left my mouth, Geovanni walked into the kitchen shirtless, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He paused upon noticing everyone.

"Good mo'ning." He groggily groaned before he walked over and kissed my cheeks. "How're you feeling?" He asked.

"I'm ok." I blushed as he rubbed my tiny bump.

"Good." He smiled at me.

"Sup Unc'?" He dapped my dad.

"Hello Geovanni." Daddy nodded.

"Hey..." He looked at my 'mom' in confusion.

"I'm Lillet, Julliet's mom." She smiled.

"Oh. Hey." He greeted.

"You've gotten handsome, Geo. Your parents were so proud of you." She smiled at him.

"Thanks." He returned her smile.

Lillet returned her attention to me.

"I'm not asking for you to look to me as a mother, but let us be friends at least, Julliet." She proposed.

I looked between her and my father, noticing something for the first time.

"You two had sex?" I shrieked. Lillet's blush gave me all the answers I needed. "Ewww!"

Geo bursted out laughing.

Ewww?" My Dad repeated. "How do you suppose you got here?"

"Daddy!" I exclaimed as I covered my ears. "You just forgave her after she abandoned us?" I scolded.

"Didn't you forgive Geovanni after he slept with your friend?" He countered.

"We weren't dating, Daddy." I defended. "We hadn't even had sex yet." I stated.

"I love your mother, Julliet." He defended.

"Does she love you?" I yelled. "Does she feel the same?" I went on. "And she is not any mother to me!" I scolded.

"I love your father, Julliet." She retorted. "I made my mistakes. I ran away because I wasn't ready to be a mother. I wasn't prepared to share my husband with his job. I was selfish and I regretted it everyday, but I was too ashamed to come back until now." She defended. "I ached for your father for years. I picked up the phone a million times, but I couldn't bring myself to call." Her eyes watered. "Everytime that man beat my ass, I thought of how much I deserved it for leaving you two." She sobbed, causing me to regret making her feel small.

I watched as my father held her in his arms, whispering soothing words to her. I watched as he kissed her all over her face repeatedly in an attempt to cheer her up. Then, I looked over at Geovanni, trying to mind his own business.

It dawned on me once more in that moment, that I was truly my mother and Geovanni was my father. After I came home from a party with Buckie's all over my neck, Geo willingly took me back and trusted me enough to continue having unprotected sex with me.

"I'm sorry." I blurted. "That was insensitive of me." I reasoned, causing Geo's neck to snap in my direction and his eyes to become as wide as saucers.

I barely apologised to anyone, but I couldn't be hypocritical right now. I've done some shit in my own relationship. I really could not judge my parents.

"It's fine." Lillet sniffled, while Geovanni and my Dad gave each other the same surprised look.
