--Geovanni Parris--

"What are you still doing here?" I asked Arianne who was just stepping out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around herself.

"Well, no one asked me to leave, so I thought that I was still welcome." She shrugged as she dropped the towel and began digging through my drawers.

"Yow!" I exclaimed as I walked over to her and slammed my drawer shut. "Put your own clothes on, Shawty." I scowled. "Matter of fact, you can bounce. It was nice while it lasted." My eyes drifted toward her hand, which, to my surprise, boasted Julliet's engagement ring. "Where the fuck you get that from?" I boomed.

"It was sitting on the dresser." She shrugged.

"And it's not yours, so hand it over." I stretched my palm out to her, waiting for her to drop the ring in it.

She huffed as she pulled the ring from around her finger and dropped it into the palm of my hand.

Arianne was a fling that I allowed to go on for too long. Now, the bitch has gotten comfortable and won't take a fucking hint.

"Now, bounce." I growled.

"You'd be back." She shrugged.

"If you don't realize it, you're the one leaving my crib, Shawty. So you're the one that should be worried about not bringing their ass back here." I gritted. "Adios."

I lit a blunt as Arianne got dressed in her own clothes and packed her things while I smoked and then she bounced like I asked her to.

Five years ago, Julliet told me that she needed some time to herself and packed her bags and left.

Some time turned into months of her not speaking to me and months turned into years.

She'd pick the kids up and drop them off and her only concern seemed to be seeking forgiveness from Krystopher and doing right by our kids.

Soon enough, Krystopher started referring to her as his Mom again.

I do admit that the way I spoke to Julliet sometimes wasn't the best way and maybe sometimes I pushed her too far.

I also suppose that she didn't expect me to drag Krystopher into our problems, no matter what she had said, but I did and maybe that was the breaking point for her.

I didn't have to tell Krys what Julliet had said to me. He was only nine at the time and I should've known better. I also should've known that she didn't really mean it, but I wanted to be petty and I guess it cost me my wife.

"Dad, I'm going to Mom's." I didn't even hear Krys enter my bedroom, but I only glanced up at him and nodded.

"Cool." I shrugged nonchalantly.

"If you knew that you were going to miss Mom so much, why did you let her leave?" His question caught me off guard and I really didn't have an answer to that.

"She deserves happiness." I stated briefly.

"So why couldn't you be that?" He further interrogated.

"I had my chances." I shrugged. He sighed and walked over to the bed, sitting beside me.

"Could I ask you something?" He asked, causing me to laugh.

"You're already interrogating the shit out of me like you're the police, so I don't see why not." I smiled up at him.

"Do you regret cheating on Mom with my actual mom?" He asked.

"This is it, huh?" I asked. "We're finally having this talk." I chuckled. "Yes, I do regret it." I admitted. "I dont regret having you, though." I clarified, making him chuckle instead.

"I know you don't regret me and neither does Mom." He bumped my shoulder with his.

"How is she?" I asked.

"She's alright." He assured me.

"Happy?"

"Yes Dad, she's happy." He confirmed.

"She got a man?" I couldn't help myself.

"No, but she thinks you have a woman." He chuckled. "And you could thank Gen for that." He laughed.

"What did Gen tell her?" My brows furrowed.

"That Airfreshener's your girlfriend." He laughed.

"She is not my girlfriend." I shook my head.

"Yeah well, tell it to Gen." He laughed as he stood up.

"Kiss your mom for me." I called after him, causing him to double back and stand in the doorway.

"Why don't you go over there and kiss her yourself, because I wouldn't be able to kiss her how you wanna, old man." He grinned. "Or I could and make her your daughter-in-law." He howled with laughter.

"Don't make me fuck you up, Youngin'." I glared at him.

"It'll be weird having my sisters as step-children. Don't you think?" He laughed again. "I'm just messing with you, Dad, but if you keep smoking like that, you might develop cancer and die. You don't wanna hurt Mom like that." He glanced at my blunt and winked at me, before leaving completely.

I sighed. Julliet and I weren't even divorced, but by the looks of things, we might as well be.

To be honest, I've been miserable without her.

--Krystopher Parris--

"Mom?" I called as I walked into the house.

"Hey baby." She greeted as soon as she saw me enter the kitchen.

I don't know what she was fixing, but it smells good.

"What are you cooking?" I asked.

"Spaghetti and Meatballs for your brother." She smiled.

"Where is he by the way?" I asked.

"In the living room waiting on you to play video games with him." She laughed.

Yep, Mom and Dad had another child. Dad just doesn't know it.

Mom moved out when she found out that she was pregnant and she's been afraid to face him ever since.

She explained to us that she moved out, because Dad didn't want her to have another baby out of fear of losing her and she wanted too keep the baby.

So now there's a Geovanni Senior and a Geovanni Junior.

The hardest part of the secret was keeping Gen quiet, but she inderstands the situation and has never said a thing to Dad, surprisingly.

The moment Dad finds out, we're all dead.

"Krys!" Junior exclaimed as soon as he saw me.

"Wassup Homes?" I asked.

"Well, I was waiting for you." He huffed dramatically. "Let's play!" He exclaimed.

"Alright. Alright. But first, no yelling. You know Mom gets annoyed easily." I warned as I sat beside him.

"Shhhh." He said as he placed his fingers in his lips.

"That's what you need to do." I chuckled as I picked up my controller and started the game.
