--Geovanni Parris--

"Who are you?" I furrowed my brows at the young man standing in my doorway.

"Uhhh... Nathan." He held out his hand for a shake.

Ignoring it, in looked him up and down.

"What do you want." I asked.

"I'm here for Guilia, sir." He informed me, causing my brows to knit together.

"Where y'all going?" I asked.

"I'm not sure as yet." He scratched the back of his neck. "She doesn't know I was coming, I just wanted to surprise her, I guess." He explained.

"What are you to her?" I narrowed my eyes at him.

"I'm not sure I mean anything to her as yet, sir." He awkwardly pushed his hands into his jean pockets.

"How old are you?" I continued.

"Seventeen..." He trailed.

"That's your car?" I asked, using my chin to point to the BMW parked behind Julliet's Range.

"Yes sir." He nodded.

"Geo, leave that boy alone." Thalia's voice interrupted as she pushed her way in front of me. "Hi." She smiled at Nickleback.

"Hi." He smiled back. "Nathan." He held his hand out toward Thalia, causing her to shake it.

"I'm Thalia." She smiled. "I've heard about you." She grinned, causing my brows to furrow as I looked between them.

"You have?!" I exclaimed.

"Yes." She rolled her eyes at me, before yelling over her shoulder into the house. "Guilia!"

"I'm not done interrogating him. Don't call Guilia." I scolded.

"Oh fine!" She huffed. "Julliet!" She called.

Julliet came out of the kitchen with an apple in her hand. Pausing when she saw the three of us.

"Oohhh." She gushed. "Hi." She grinned in this little nigguhs face.

"Hi." He replied, smiling at her.

"He's cute." She gushed to Thalia.

"Nathan." He smiled at her some more as he extended his hand for a shake.

"Julliet." She grinned as she shook his hand. I pulled her ass right back by her t-shirt.

"Stay your cute ass away from my wife, buddy." I mugged him. "Guilia come get your little Nicholas before I kill him."

Guilia jogged down the stairs and froze at the sight of her little boyfriend or whatever.

"Hey." Did his little ass just blush?

"Hey." Guilia replied.

"So Lia, why you didn't tell us you had taste taste." Julliet teased while wiggling her brows.

"Oh God, Mom, stop embarrassing me." Lia pleaded.

"Girl, I got taste taste too, look at your Daddy." She grinned at me.

"So you not gon' introduce your little boyfriend?" I chimed in with the saltiest tone ever.

"Daddy, Mommy and Auntie Ali, this is Nathaniel and he's not my boyfriend." She was sure to add the disclaimer.

"Have her home by nine thirty, she has a ten o'clock bedtime." I announced noting the embarrassment I proudly put on Lia's face.

"Oh, forget him, Nathan, she could stay out late tonight." Julliet's happy ass opposed.

"Especially not tonight. Or you won't be taking her nowhere else, little boy." I argued. "No sex, alcohol or drugs or imma tear your little ass up." I threatened.

"Sure thing, Mr. Parris, Guilia's in safe hands."

"Nigguh, you not the Allstate of daughters. Fuck outta here. Nine thirty not a nano-second later!" I called after them as Guilia pulled him down the driveway behind her as she hurriedly tried to get away.

"Geo!" Thalia and Julliet both scolded.

"What?" I asked.

They both shook their heads and roll their eyes at me before walking away.

--Guilia Parris--

"I can't believe you brought me to Mickey D's." I giggled as Nathan and I left the restaurant with our to-go meals.

"I wasn't trying to go down in your Dad's bad books." He chuckled. "It's the safest place I could've taken you."

"So what's the plan now that we have the food and nowhere to go?" I questioned.

"We could take it back to your place and chill at y'all's poolside until your Dad comes to get you for bedtime." He joked.

"You got jokes, huh?" I asked.

"Nah, I'd never joke off of you." He pinched my cheek. "I like you too much." He grinned, causing me to blush.

"Maybe we should go to your place..." I trailed on a pur.

"Lia, your Dad won't like that and besides, you know I don't know much about sex. You're the one that's been teaching me." He shrugged.

Oh yeah, Nathan was a virgin the first time we slept with each other a little while back.

He's been trying to take me on a date since forever, so I guess he finally got his chance to do so.

"Fine, we could go to my place." I agreed.

I could already tell that Daddy is going to like him and Mom and Auntie already find him worth the while just from his looks.

Nathan had always wanted to date me. Even before I dated Vincent.

Nate didn't even want to have sex with me the first time we had sex. I was the one who initiated that. He always just wanted to date and get to know me more before anything else.

As I said, he was a virgin.

Had I given him the chance from the jump, I wouldn't have gone through some of the shit I had to go through.

Sometimes, we need to go through the worst to see what we've always been missing.

I guess my Mom and Dad had alot of those experiences with each other.

I've seen my Dad try to distract himself from Mom with other women and I've seen Mom go on dates with other men.

It's not something she'd mention or pay attention to, because Dad means the whole world to her and she never dated to replace him, but only as a distraction.

There are lots of times when they threatened to get a divorce and it never happened, because no matter what, they always knew that they're what's best for each other.

"Your Dad's afraid of your Mom, huh?" Nate asked, making me chuckle.

"No. Why?"

"He only agreed to let you come, because your Mom wanted you to come."

"He does anything that'll make her happy, I guess. That's all." I shrugged.
