--Geovanni Parris--
I woke up with Julliet laid across my chest peacefully asleep.
I carefully slipped out from beneath her and made my way into the shower. When I was through with my hygiene routine, Julliet was still asleep, so I let her be.
I then, got dressed and made us a quick breakfast. I ate my plate by myself since I suspected that she'd be asleep a bit longer.
As I scrolled through my phone, loud knocks came from the door. Huffing, I got up and opened it, revealing Uncle Jan.
"Is Julliet here?" He glared at me.
"She's asleep." I replied truthfully while pointing to my room.
"I thought I told you to stay away from her."
"No disrespect sir, but she's the one who came to me." I scratched my head as I grew uneasy under Jan's glare.
"Are you trying to sass me me, boy?" He growled.
"I know you're disappointed, Unc', and possibly upset, but at least I'm not one of these lil' nigguhs outchea' that'll leave her to raise a baby on her own." I factually stated.
"I know you'd care for Julliet, even if it means breaking your own back, Geovanni, but I wanted her to achieve her degree and be a successful young woman before she even thought about children."
"And I'm sorry to have fucked that up, Unc', but I'll still make sure that she gets her education and be the successful woman that you dream her to be." I assured him.
He simply nodded at my reasoning, so I found it necessary to go on.
"At least she's in this with me." I reminded him. "At least this isn't her at twenty five, knocked up by some bitch nigguh trying to control her and downplay her power." I paused for a brief moment, "At least she's with someone who respects her and yourself."
"Don't hurt my daughter, Geovanni, I'd hate to have you murdered."
I knew that Janvier was very capable of causing my death. Hell, I've taken out nigguhs for him before. I was trained by him. He was a lawyer, but before all that, he was in the streets just like my father.
I may have never sold drugs, but I knew what it was to look into someone's eyes as the life drained from them.
"Geo, I'm hungry." Julliet's soft whines caught the attention of myself and Uncle Jan. "Oh, hi Daddy." She mumbled after realizing thag he was seated at my island.
"Good morning, Julliet." He glared at her. "You left the house late last night and stayed out without saying anything." It wasn't a question.
"I'm sorry, you were already asleep and I really needed to talk to Geovanni." She fussed.
"You have a phone."
"He wasn't picking up." She pouted.
"Well maybe he needed some space, Julliet!" His voice now boomed.
"Maybe he was avoiding me because you told him to." She sassed.
"What did you say to me?" He questioned as he stood up.
"I said, he probably did it because you asked him to." She repeated more audibly.
"You better watch your mouth—"
"Or what?" She crossed her arms over her chest. "Geo may be afraid of you like everybody else is, but I'm not."
I have no clue if it were her hormones or if she was just talking crazy, but she needed to shut up and she needed to shut up fast.
"Julliet Morrison, you better talk to me like you have got some damn sense!"
"Fuck you, Daddy." She spat, making my eyes grow as wide as saucers.
"Now Jules, you know you were wrong for that." I intervened.
"Fuck you too." She spat at me. "Why don't you let Daddy adopt you since you wanna be his son so badly?" She turned to Janvier next. "And you have turned him into the perfect protoje of yourself." She spewed. "I don't even know if I got with Geo because he was just like you but only around more or if I got with him because he was just like you and gave me my own way more."
Scoffing, I narrowed my eyes at her.
"That's how you feel?" I questioned.
She fixed a pout to her lips and a mug to her face, crossed her arms across her chest and glared at me.
"I said I'm hungry, Geo." She repeated.
"And I asked if that's how the fuck you feel?"
"Julliet, I'm going go give you some time to rethink what you've just said to Geovanni and I—" Uncle Jan interrupted.
"I don't have to rethink anything." She rolled her neck.
I narrowed my eyes at her and began walking away.
"That's all you do." She continued. "Run."
I spun back around, and stomped my way over toward her.
"Watch how the fuck you talk to me, lah' girl." I challenged.
"You're not Janvier Morrison, he is." She pointed at her dad, causing my nostrils to flare. "You don't scare me, Geovanni. You nor my daddy."
I was so close to knocking Julliet the fuck out, but I only ran my tongue across my lips and walked away from her instead.
"Get the fuck out my house!" I barked at her.
"The baby I'm carrying has rights to half of your condo, so I'm not going anywhere." She issued a rebuttal.
"For all I know, you could be knocked up by that little motherfucker you fucked the night before you came home hungover with hickies all over your damn neck like a fucking tramp." I hit a low blow.
"Geovanni, that's not necessary." Uncle Jan butted in.
"You know, if you ain't spoilt her ass so much, she'd be more respectful than that." I fired at him.
"You're just mad that you ain't have no parents to spoil you." Julliet spat at me. "And I told you, nothing happened at that party." She scoffed.
"At least my mother wanted me." I fired back, causing her to slap me.
"Knock it the fuck off! The both of you!" Uncle Jan got between in us. "I told you about putting your hands on Geovanni, Julliet."
"You heard what he said to me." She argued.
"And I also heard what you said to him!" He countered. "He is right, you're a spoiled, rude, little brat."
"The same brat he knocked up." Before I could even process what the fuck happened, Julliet's hand cupped the side of her face, to which Uncle Jan had applied a slap which echoed loud enough for me to know that the shit stung.
I couldn't even feel sorry enough for her to try comforting her. She begged for that shit.
She began sobbing and that's when I walked over and pulled her into a hug, attempting to comfort her. No matter how rude her ass was, I still cared for her. That's my baby.
"Get your shit and get the fuck out of my house." Uncle Jan snarled at her before he left.
"You know you fucked up right?" I asked, receiving louder sobs in response.
I only sighed and kissed the top of her head.

Welp, I guess Janvier had enough of Julliet's pissy attitude.
