One year and six months later...

--Geovanni Parris--

"Hey." I was greeted by both Krystal and the smell of her cooking as soon as I walked through the door.

"Hey." I smiled as she stood on her toes with her lips puckered and her eyes closed.

Wrapping my arms around her waist, I gave her the kiss she was asking for.

"You play too damn much." I said and cashed us both to crack up.

"How was work?" She questioned.

"It was good. I really can't complain." I replied truthfully.

"How is Mr. Morrison doing?" Yes, Krystal was aware of Jan being Julliet's father and she had long learnt about the history Julliet and I shared, but I happened to have learnt that she is a very understanding woman which I greatly appreciate.

"Uh, he could be better, but he's doing ok." I released her from my embrace.

"It's ok to be scared you know, Geo." She assured me with a comforting smile.

"I know." I sighed. "I'm just not ready to lose a father for the second time." I confided in her.

"What about Julliet? How is she doing?" She asked, which made my nostrils flare a bit.

"She's Julliet." I shrugged.

"She's still trying to make your life hell?" She giggled.

"She's still acting petty if that's what you mean." I shrugged as I went to the fridge to get some orange juice.

"And you don't act petty at times?" Krystal chuckled.

"I do." I admitted.

"Because you still love her, Geo. It's ok if you do."

"How you gon' stand there and tell me it's ok to love another woman?" I asked with sarcasm as I poured some juice into the glass I had retrieved from the cabinet.

"She is your first love." Krystal shrugged. "I wouldn't be surprised if I'm just a rebound to be honest."

"Oh yeah?" I arched a brow her way. "That's how you feel?"

"I'm just saying, Geo." She defended.

"You better watch what you say."

"Or what?" She challenged.

"You might actually like it." I smirked at her as I put the glass into the sink. "Freak."

"You love the freaky shit we do, so why are you complaining?" She returned my smirk as she continued attending to the pot on the stove

"Who said I was complaining?"

"Oh?" She laughed as I winked at her.

"I'm about to go pick up Guilia though." I informed her.

"Good luck." She called after me as I made my to my en suite bathroom to take a shower before heading out.

I know what you're thinking and the answer is no. Krystal and I are not in a relationship. We're just friends with occasional benefits, that's it.

Pulling unto the curb of the building which housed Julliet's condo, I prayed that she wouldn't be on any shit today.
