"How're preparations for school coming along?" Uncle Jan asked.
"I put it on hold." I pulled at my chin hairs.
"Why?" He asked with a confused expression.
"Because I've got other responsibilities now, Unc'." I replied.
"Responsibilities?" He asked with confusion evident in his voice.
"Yeah." I cleared my throat.
I'm not sure if Uncle Jan really didn't know or if he was acting like he ain't know me and Julliet were having a baby. I mean, I thought I told her to tell him.
"What are you talking about, Geovanni?" Janvier queried.
Uhhh..." I hesitated for a bit, "I'm gonna be a dad, Unc'." I announced.
"Congratulations." He smiled. "I'm not sure how Julliet's going to take that, but I'm sure that she'll come around." He assured me.
It had been a month since I found out that Julliet was pregnant, and we had gone to two doctor's visits together and she still hasn't said shit to her father even though she's told me that she has.
"Oh, she knows." I sarcastically stated.
"How'd she take it?" He asked, clearly missing the sarcasm in my statement.
"A little rough at first, but she seems fine now." I went on. "She's actually taking it better than I am."
"Oh?" The astonishment was heavy in his tone.
"Yup." I popped the p.
"So you two are working things out?"
"No actually." I clarified. "We're figuring out how we're going to deal with the baby first."
"Julliet, my Julliet, is actually supportive of a baby you're having with someone else?" He raised his brows in wander.
"Actually Unc', the baby I'm having is also Julliet's." His brows knitted together in confusion.
"What are you talking about, Geo?"
"Unc'," I sighed, "Julliet's pregnant."
The confusion on his face quickly became one of fury.

"Oh, hi Daddy." I greeted as I walked into the kitchen, krinkling my nose immediately after.
My Dad's piercing stare made me feel as though I was being observed under a microscope.
"Would you like some shrimp pasta in tomato, basil and garlic sauce?" He asked as he stirred the contents of the skillet.
Oh, that was the repulsive stench. I discreetly thought to myself.
"No Dad, I'm really not hungry." I tried concealing any sign of the nauseous I currently felt, but the look of disgust on my face was one I could not hide.
"You're sure?" He questioned. "It's your favorite." He tried convincing me.
It may be my favorite, but this baby definitely thought my tastes in food to be disgusting.
"Yes Daddy, I'm sure." I confirmed as I inwardly groaned. "I'm gonna take a nap." I tried to get out of the smelly ass kitchen.
"Wait a minute, Jules!" My dad called behind me, causing me to turn back toward him.
"Yes sir?" I called over my shoulder.
"At least let me know how it tastes?" Before I could object, he was already standing before me, shoving a spoon smothered in the disgustingly smelly sauce in my face.
