After being approached by the waiter and placing our orders, I decided to make small talk.

"How was school today?" I asked.

"It was ok." She shrugged, giving Geo time to place a large gift bag on the table.

It's Lia's birthday, November third and she was seventeen today, so we were having lunch with her and spoiling her.

She smiled just as our food arrived, causing us all to focus on that instead.
