"Why the long face?" Geovanni asked as soon as I walked through the door.
"Nothing." I tried to lie.
"Baby, come on, don't lie to me." He pleaded.
"Are you happy with me?" I blurted.
"Of course." He responded immediately.
"Do you have any regrets about us?" I continued.
"The only things I regret are fucking your friend first, not fixing our issues immediately and allowing them to turn into something huge and not telling you how I felt about you sooner." He shrugged. "What happened?"
"Skylar—" Geo's huff cut me off.
"Don't you think it's about time you let that friendship go?"
"Geoooo." I whined.
"No Jules, for real, don't you think it's toxic and just keeps getting worst?" He asked.
"Yes Geo, but I don't want people to look at me as though I walked out on a friendship because of a man." I pouted.
"And you don't think that's what she's doing?" He lifted a brow. "She's still mad at you over a nigga who ain't even want her. Still mad at you over somebody who made it clear that he never had intentions of having anything personal going on with her." He stated. "She sounds bitter as hell if you asked me."
"She's in love with you, I guess." I shrugged.
"She's infatuated." He snorted. "As a matter of fact, she's dellusional."
"She has a man, Geovanni."
"And she's still pressed about me and you being together." He pointed out. "What does that say about her?"
"I don't know, Geo. She's just upset I guess."
"You need to stop trying to see the good in people." He dictated. "You've got a bad attitude and you try to come off as mean, but you're still trying to justify the people you find yourself caring for with their messy asses."
"I'm messy too, I've been so fucked up toward you."
"And I haven't been messy toward you?" He returned the question. "Julliet, I fucked your friend. I was mean as fuck to you, even when I was fully aware that you had feelings for me and I had feelings for you. I treated you horribly. I wasn't all that amazing either, baby girl." He explained to me.
"You're right, I guess." He pecked my lips.
"I know I'm right, baby." He smirked, pecking my lips again. "Now come on, let's go pick up our Chunks." He intertwined his fingers with my own.

"Hey!" Lillet greeted us when she opened the door with my baby in her arms. I gave her a slight glare, before reaching for my child out of her arms. Her face fell a bit due to my reaction.
Geovanni and my Dad begged me to give her a chance and I was trying, but it was hard.
She turned to lead the way into the house and Geo used that as an opportunity to pinch me.
"Be nice." He warned loud enough for me to hear. "Hey Chunks." He cooed playfully at her, making her squeal with laughter. The way they switch up I tell ya.
"Good afternoon, Daddy." I smiled.
"Hello, baby girl." He kissed my forehead.
