"I work my ass off too much everyday to come home and hear you complain about dumb shit." Elliott snarled at me.
"Dumb shit?" I questioned. "This is our marriage you're talking about." I stressed.
"I think you need to stop talking to Julliet. That's probably your problem." He grumbled.
"What is your problem with Julliet?" I questioned.
"Ever since that shit she pulled with Geovanni, she rubs me the wrong way." He rolled his eyes.
"Geo is over that, obviously. You should get over it too. It's not even your relationship to be worried about. What you need to be worried about is our relationship." I rolled my eyes.
"I am not worried about their relationship." He argued.
"Well, they are doing perfectly fine. Something we're not!" I yelled. "So what if I talk to her?" I questioned, because I really did not see the problem.
"Maybe, she'd teach you how to manipulate me into doing things your way." He said as he pulled on something more comfortable than his work attire.
"She did not mainpulate Geo into doing things her way. She just put him in a place where he thought he had lost her and because of it, they are now doing so much better and you can't deny that. Had she never done that, he would still be running around and they would still be having issues." I argued.
"What do you want from me, Thalia?" He asked.
"I want us to spend more time together." I explained. "That's all." I shrugged.
"We don't spend time together?" He asked.
"Not like we should, Elliott." I whined. "We're always too busy being parents or too busy working or other things."
"It's called being adults and having a life."
"Geo and Julliet have more kids than we do. They're adults. They have busier lives than us and they make quality time for each other."
"Did she tell you how to do it?" He asked.
"She said that they fit sex into their schedule and they spend Friday nights through Sunday mornings together." She shrugged.
"So you want us to do the same?" He sarcastically asked. "Because, we have completely different lives than they do." He huffed.
"Fine, Elliott. Nevermind. Obviously, this is a waste of time." I mumbled in defeat. My husband has changed and he doesn't even notice it. It's like there's somewhere else that he'd rather be these days.
"We could give it a try if it makes you happy, but I didn't think we had problems." He shrugged.
"We don't." I shrugged. "But we aren't in the best place."

"Give me the tinsel, baby." Geovanni said to Genovia as her brother and sister worked together to untangle the Christmas lights.
"Here you go, Daddy!" She exclaimed. Gen loves Christmas like I do and she loves decorating the tree.
Taking the tinsel from her, Geo wrapped it carefully around the tree.
I was sitting on the couch, eating cookies and watching them have their joy.
I usually skip out on the decorating of the tree, because they all claimed that I got too bossy with the process.
"Guilia." I heard Geo say in his authoritative tone and I thought, uh-oh.
"Yes Daddy?" She innocently replied.
