A shiny Houndoom named Richard was strolling through a forest filled with shrubs and pine trees he was a rogue who had left his pack recently due to, too much violence and bloodshed with many Pokemon.
He came to the lake for a drink when he spotted a female Leafeon not far from him drinking from the lake he blushed he had seen this Leafeon often in the forest and he couldn't help thinking she was cute but could never summon up the courage to talk to her. 'This is a good opportunity to introduce yourself, Rich don't be a fool'
He slightly thought to himself.
Taking in a deep breath he approaches her.
Her leafy ear perks up at the sound of his approaching paw steps and she lifts her head. "H..hello there." He shyly said "Hello~" She gleefully respond which made Richard more nervous. 'Come on Rich your a strong powerful mon you can do this!'
But for some reason to him, this seemed harder than any battle he'd ever fought. He was glad that he left that life behind him, he wanted to have his own kind of life one of peace.
"I...I noticed you in the forest and I.. Err I." the Leafeon was watching him with amusement glowing in her brown eyes she didn't seem shy at all. "Well go on," she said as he paused without realizing it, feeling embarrassed now he got the words out. "I want to introduce myself, my name is Richard." she smiled. "Well, nice to meet you, Richard."
There was a silent pause until Richard broke it by asking her name. "My name is Julie," she answered with a smile. "Julie that's a pretty name, I mean ah it's a nice name!"
She giggled. "Thanks, I think Richard also sounds nice, so how long have you been around?" she asked feeling relief at the chance to talk. He answered, "Oh I've been here for about two weeks I'm pretty new around here."
"Do you live in a pack?"
He shook his head. "Nope, I don't need to be part of a group I thought it was too much violence so I left, I want to start my own life."
"Well Richard that must have been hard for you to walk away from your pack, you seem different from a lot of houndooms most of them seem to be more hostile than you."
He dipped his head he had to feel slightly embarrassed. He knew very well that he used
to be no better, but he saw the errors of his ways and wanted out.
"Thanks, it took a lot of courage to make the move I did."
"No problem."
He swallowed nervously before asking. "So I was wounding if you'd like to take a walk with-"
He broke off as there was a rustling in the bushes before a blur of yellow and white needle-like fur came bursting out of the undergrowth and ran right into Julie knocking her off her paws and sending her into the water. She gave a loud cry of shock as she helplessly plummeted into the water. Richard stared in shock as water splashed at him. "HEY!"
The Jolteon gave a sheepish smile "Oh whoopsy me! I guess I'm just too fast for my own good." Richard opened his mouth about to say something only to be cut off by Julie's cry. "HELP!! I can't swim!" filled with Panic Richard stared at the rippling water not sure what to do being a fire type he couldn't swim either.
"Hehe I got this!" the Jolteon said with a smirk diving in after her as if trying to show off. Richard felt irritated as the water droplets showered on his snout. Julie was no longer afloat as her lashing panicking paws were failing her. Richard watched as the Jolteon dived under. For a few seconds, the water seemed quiet and still. Richard felt his heart racing he began considering going in after them until the Jolteon broke the surface carrying Julie with him, he got to the edge of the lake then pulled her out laying her down on her back in the grass. "Oh my, it seems I might be a little too late." then he got close to her. "I'll have to kiss her back to life."
"move over!" Richard growled as he got up and pushed the Jolteon aside then placed both paws on her chest and began pumping, it was only a matter of minutes before her eyes opened and she began coughing up water. Richard turns her on her side so she can vomit and get the rest of the water out. 'Thank Arceus it didn't come mouth to mouth' he thought feeling slightly embarrassed. Julie looked confused as she looked from Richard to the Jolteon. "What happened?" she asked then before Richard could speak the Jolteon jumped up trying to push him away. "Hehe you almost drowned but I saved your life beautiful," he said with a cocky smirk on his face. The Leafeon seemed to be a bit confused but before she could speak he grabbed her paw and kissed it. "My name is Charlie what's yours?" she pulled her paw away. "It's Julie... Didn't you-"
"This Houndoom is the one that pushed you! I'm the hero who saved you, deary."
"WHAT!" Richard roared out. "Julie don't believe him that's a lie!."
"Says the big vicious Houndoom! Come on Julie we both know how they are, they are evil dark Mons."
It was taking Richard a lot of willpower to keep his cool. Julie glared at the Jolteon "What were you thinking?! Why would you push me into the lake on purpose!"
"I- it was an accident miss.." he said unsteadily brushing his paw on the ground nervously as he spoke.
"Sure ya did." Richard huffed sarcastically.
Charlie then growled. "Well, I still saved your life dear if it wasn't for me you'd still be underwater by now." Richard stalked up to the Jolteon until he was standing face to face with him, Then said in a steady firm tone. "Yes but it wouldn't have been necessary if you hadn't pushed her in the first place, I think you should leave Charlie."
"Hmm such hostilely seems right for a Houndoom such as yourself." then he brushed past him. "Come on Julie why don't you and I go for a walk?"
"Thanks, but I'd rather not."
"Oh?? Why not?"
"I think it might be best for everyone if you just left, I was enjoying my morning with Richard."
Suddenly the Jolteon turns towards the shiny Houndoom. "Ok fine! Let's have a battle!." he challenges "I'll fight you for her affection!" without warning, Richard barreled himself into the Jolteon knocking him off his paws, bringing him to the ground, and then clamping his firey fangs around his shoulder as he used fire fang. A painful yelp was heard from the Jolteon his thorny yellow fur spiked up poking Richard's snout and forcing him off of the smaller Mon. Charlie scrambled back up to his paws and used Thunderbolt but Richard was quick to dodge it. He used a flamethrower but Charlie rolled away in time then used a quick attack to dash towards him and then used the electric ball to close for Richard to avoid it A frustrated growl escaped his mouth as he took the hit, Charlie then went for another move but this time Richard was ready for it, he used a flamethrower to cancel out the next electric ball which caused it to explode. Julie looked worried. "STOP FIGHTING!!"
"Never!" Charlie snarled as he began running circles around Richard using Thunderbolt trying to hit him. Richard was now getting angry. He used fire blitz but missed, focusing harder on the Jolteon he used the same move again and this time got him while Charlie was stunned by the move he thrust himself at him and forced him down slamming his face down on the grass. Richard moved his snout close to his ear and muttered in a low voice.
"You listen here, Charlie I don't tolerate your kind of silly behaviour!" fear flashed in the Jolteon's purple eyes. "I...I'm sorry, please don't hurt me!" he begged. "I won't this time, but if I ever see your face again, who knows what might happen, if you get burned by me you'll carry that pain forever." after he said that he opened his jaws to Review fiery flames. Panic washed over the Jolteon's face and Richard could smell fear. "Please don't! I'll go you won't ever see me again I promise!"
"Good now get!" with that as soon as he lifted his paws off of the Jolteon he got to his paws and fled, as he reached the trees and undergrowth he cast one final regretful look towards Julie before disappearing into the forest. The Leafeon padded up to his side. "Wow... For being a vicious dark type you handle that pretty well."
"Well there's no need to hurt him, he's not worth it, and you know we Houndooms are pretty caring when it comes to our loved ones." suddenly his face turns red as he realized what he had just said. "I ah heh, I mean when it comes to Mons we care about." she gave him a warm friendly look. "Well, Richard it's nice to know how caring you are with Mons you just met." he couldn't hold back a blush as she walked past him towards the undergrowth. "Come on let's go for that walk, shall we? I'd like to get to know you more." he nodded his head and with that, they padded off together and from that day forward Julie and Richard started seeing each other more and more until finally after one year decided to become mates and found a nice den to stay in not far from the Lake where they had first met.
