Chapter 14 Trouble in the forest

Shawn's P.O.V.

It was nightfall and Shawn, was sitting outside by himself looking around "Hey, Shawn what are you doing?" Charlie asked as he walked out of the den with a puzzled look on his face. "Charlie, do you think there's something wrong with Denny lately?" Charlie shook his head "He seems happy if you ask me, I think he chose the right form don't you?"
"Yeah, but he's been staying out late, and half the time I can't find him. Where is he right now?" Charlie shrugged. "Probably in the water like usual, I'm going to bed, don't be causing any trouble ok." Then Charlie crawled back inside the den. 'I'm not the one who looks for trouble through that's Denny. Shawn thought. *Sigh* 'I wonder if Fredrick is like that too? because the two of them were always up to no good.
Shawn padded over to the water. "Denny are you there?" There was no answer. Shawn jumped into the water it was cold, but he needed it to keep him awake. 'Oh, Denny I will find you tonight this time. Shawn stuck his head in the water and looked around feeling frustrated that he couldn't see anything Shawn dived under the water and looked around, then he swam back up to breathe. "Huff huff" 'Oh I give up I'm going for a walk in the forest. Maybe I should find that Celebi and Apologize. Shawn padded into the woods where they found that shiny Ratatta. He paused as he heard something approaching. Shawn dimmed his lights, so no Mon would see him and then he hid in a patch of tall grass. A shiny Blaziken walked by, Shawn started to feel nervous and then just as he was about to come out he heard more paw steps coming. He looked to see a Vaporeon slowly following after the Blaziken. 'That's Denny!' Shawn was feeling more frustrated. 'What the heck is he up to?' Shawn ducked down as Denny walked by him and then he got up slowly and started to follow his brother. They padded through the trees and the Blaziken called out. "I still can't find Abey, oh whatever did happen to her?" Shawn felt confused. 'Hu? Who's Abey? A whole group of shiny Pokemon crawled out of their hiding places and a shiny Pikachu sighed. "Oh, but we need her. What if Darle finds us? Who's gonna lead us now?" Denny padded out into the open making his presence known. "Codey you've been followed!" One of them called out. Shawn started to feel worried 'Oh, Denny why?' Denny approached them with a friendly smile. "Greetings shinies." They all looked confused at his approach. "Umm, Who are you? And what are you doing here? NOT SHINY!"
Denny's smile faded and he growled. "I'm only here to ask for your assistance." The shiny Blaziken glared at him. "We only help Shiny Pokemon thank you, you're not worthy to be here!" Denny shot a glare right back. "What if I told you I know where Abey is?" Shawn felt taken aback hearing that. 'Denny knows her?
The shinies all gasped in shock. "Y-you know where she is?"
"Yeah, was she a pink Celebi by chance?"
Shawn couldn't believe what he was hearing.
'Oh, no Denny what did you do?
All the shiny Pokemon gasped. "That is her! Where is she?" Denny smirked. "Hmmm, I don't know I'm not worthy enough to be here remember?" He criticized. The Blaziken growled. "How about you tell us or else?"
Denny glared "You guys are pathetic!" He snarled "Hiding from Darle crying for your precious Abey, and yet you can't even reason with me just because you think you're better!"
The Blaziken grabbed Denny by the neck. "Tell us where she is!" Shawn got scared for his brother. "Please don't hurt him!" He ran out from his hiding place. Denny looked surprised. "Shawn, why are you here?" He sounded more annoyed than relieved. The Blaziken dropped Denny. "Is this an ambush?" Shawn shook his head. "No! This is just a misunderstanding we're sorry, now if you don't mind me and my brother should be going." The shiny Pikachu blocked the way. "Not until you tell us where Abey is!" Shawn began to tremble in fear. "Umm... she should be in the woods somewhere?." The Blaziken shook his head "She would have come back by now."
"Oh, for the love of Arceus, she's dead!" Denny yelled out. "WHAT!" All the shinies yelled at once. Shawn looked at Denny in disbelief. "Oh, no Denny you didn't!" Denny growled "She deserved it, Shawn! I had to." All the shiny Pokemon turned to glare at Denny. Shawn crouched down with his tail tucked between his legs. "Denny they're gonna kill us!" Denny stood tall. "All I ask is for your help to defeat Darle, we're all on the same side here!"
"WHAT HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND?!" They all shouted at once then the Blaziken walked up to stand before them. "We would never help a worthless piece of shit such as yourself, plus you killed Abey, so now you're gonna pay!"
Denny glowed and used a hydro pump and the Blaziken fell backwards, then got back up looking outraged. "GET HIM!" He shouted, "Shawn run!" Denny yelled and Shawn felt panic, as they both ran for their lives.
Denny dived into the river. "Shawn quick get over here!" Shawn ran over to the the river then hesitated. "B-but I can't breathe underwater!" Denny grabbed him pulled him under the water with him and began swimming fast going with the current. Shawn was holding his breath, Denny kept swimming faster then they suddenly broke through the surface. "Take a breath Shawn!" Shawn gasped in some air then they went back under Shawn had his eyes closed the water was burning his eyes then finally they broke out of the water again. "Is it over yet? did we lose them?" Denny was panting. "Yeah, I think so." Shawn climbed out of the water and shook his fur, then he turned to shoot a glare at Denny. "What the hell were you thinking!" He snapped.
Denny got out. "I was thinking of Scarlet and Fredrick! Don't you want to save them?" Shawn glared at Denny. "Yeah, but you know what those shinies are like! you killed Abey?"
"She had to die!"
Shawn tried to calm down and took a few deep breaths. "Well, now they're gonna kill us, because of what you did!" Denny sighed. "Shawn I knew Abey was like that. But I didn't think they were all gonna be like that."
"So what you're gonna kill all of them now?!" Denny shook his head "OK, I'm sorry you're right I made a mistake, I thought they would have helped us." Shawn was getting angrier the more Denny talked. "After you told them that you killed their leader?" Denny glared. "I don't think it really would have made much of a difference, they didn't want to help me because we're not Shiny it's as simple as that."
Shawn looked at Denny. "So now what?" Denny smiled. "I think I have a way to make them cooperate with us." Shawn frowned. "Why did I get a bad feeling after you said that?"
Denny shrugged. "Well, they're hiding from Darle so if Darle got them, they would fight against him just like we want anyways right?" Shawn Could only stare at his brother in shock. "How could you do something cruel like that?" Denny now looked annoyed. "Yeah, I'm being cruel you saw how mean they were. Just admit it, Shawn, you know they deserve it, plus we're gonna die if we don't."
"No Denny what if some of them side with Darle then what?"
"Oh come on Shawn, I don't see that, they're terrified of him, they don't want to be with Darle."
"So, let's not do it then." Denny sat quietly for a bit. "Denny promise me you won't do that please." Denny sighed. "OK, fine!" He grumbled.
"All right then let's get to bed now it's late" Then Shawn led the way back home.

Shawn woke up the next day and got up, when he looked around the den he realized that Denny was gone. Shawn sighed and padded outside of the den. "Hey, Charlie did you happen see where Denny went?" Charlie looked up. "Yeah, he padded out into the woods. Might be hunting I think."
"No! Not again!" Shawn ran past Charlie. The Jolteon looked confused. "What?" But
Shawn didn't answer instead he ran into the woods and picked up Denny's scent and followed it Shawn froze. 'this leads to the shiny forest!
Shawn ran as fast as he could then he stopped at the border and hid. He could hear voices.
"Gerrr what are you doing so close to our shiny forest? take one more step and your dead!" Shawn crawled closer and then he saw a shiny Absol growling at Denny.
'That's the Absol that kept guard that night!
Denny sat down with a calm expression on his face. "I got something you might want to know about."
"Oh yeah, like what?"
Shawn froze in horror. 'please Denny don't do it! He silently pleaded. Denny glared at the Absol. "Is Darle aware that there are shinies hiding in the forest by the beach?" The Absol growled, "What? And what do you want in turn for it?" Denny laughed "Haha, all I Want Is those stupid shinies gone! I hate shiny Pokemon!"
The Absol growled. "I would kill you just for saying that! But since you helped me out I will spear your life thanks." Then he was gone after that. Denny turned around and then froze when he saw Shawn. "Oh, Shawn... how much did you see?" Shawn glared at him. "I can't believe you did that!" Denny frowned "Look Shawn I had to!"
"Why? Because you hate Shinies? Have you forgotten that Fredrick and Scarlet are shiny? Our dad is also a shiny!"
"Yeah, but that's different. I didn't mean it like that." Shawn was getting more upset. "Then what did you mean?" Denny sighed "Shawn you saw what they were like, they would have killed me if I didn't We will have their support when our time for battle comes."
"You ruined their lives, Denny."
Denny growled then started walking away. "I don't care, Shawn, they asked for it." Then the Vaporeon ran off.
Shawn sighed 'this isn't the Denny I know.

By the time Shawn returned to the den, it was noon. Charlie was sleeping in the sand. Shawn sat down. "Hey, Shawn!" Denny came running towards him. "Come on I'll teach you how to fish it's great Magickarps are so stupid, it's funny!" He laughed Shawn frowned. "I guess." Denny gave him a look. "You're not still upset about before are you?" Shawn started padding towards the water. "I guess not, I just don't understand why?" Denny got in front of him. "Shawn they were guilty I just wish you would see that." Shawn sighed "Maybe you're right I'm sorry I yelled at you, Denny."
"And I'm sorry I almost got you killed last night, but thanks for being there for me, although it would be nice if you would stop spying on me."
Shawn laughed "Ok, I'm sorry I'll leave you alone next time"
"Well, good" Then Denny jumped in the water, and Shawn sat down on a rock near the water, "Ha! You'll never get anything sitting there." Denny teased. Shawn sighed "I'm not a Vaporeon like you are."
"So that doesn't mean you can't swim, I was an Eevee when I started." Shawn jumped in the water then he saw a feebas, he swam towards it and tried to grab it, but it slipped away, and Shawn got frustrated. " I can't do this!" He spat
Denny splashed up with the feebas in his mouth "I got it! that was so easy!"
"Yeah for you" Shawn scrambled back out and shook his fur. "I think you should try hunting at night then you'll see what I mean."
"Is that a challenge?" Denny asked
"You know Shawn I will take you up on that."
Then Denny jumped out and dropped the feebas in front of the Umbreon. "let's share it, then after we should try to find Pokemon that will join us in the war against Darle." Shawn sighed "That sounds like a lot of work."
"Well it's not going to be easy, and I'm tired of waiting, it's time to prepare for it." Shawn sat down with Denny *Sigh*
"Yeah, you're right, if we want to save all those shiny Pokemon we should start now"
Denny looked at Shawn "Hmm now where should we look? we might have to leave the den for a couple of days."
Shawn frowned "Maybe Charlie can come? he's gonna be part of it too right?" Denny shook his head. "I think he's a coward, but it would be nice if he was part of it." Shawn took a bite out of the feebas. "I think we should leave as soon as we finish this." Denny nodded "Agreed."
Once they finished eating they padded up to Charlie, the Jolteon lifted his head "Hu?"
Denny stepped in front of him. "Charlie, Shawn and I are leaving for a few days we got to prepare ourselves for the battle."
Charlie got up. "So you're gonna do it?" Shawn, and Denny both nodded their heads.
"Well I never thought I would say this but, I'll go with you, I'll be part of the battle too."
Denny smiled "Good then let's go." Shawn had a bad feeling in his gut.
'Why do I get this bad vibe sometimes? Charlie led the way. "I think I know a good place to start with." Then they all took off leaving the beach behind them.
