Chapter 54 A Dark Place

Fredricks. P.O.V.

Fredrick was lying in his bed back in camp with the rest of his group it had been two days now since when Fredrick had escaped Denny and came home after the Vaporeon ran off after Jessie. The thought was stressing Fredrick out.
I hope she's ok. And the kid.
It kept bothering him since he got home all he could worry about was Denny bursting into the camp to attack but at the same time, he was wondering if Jessie got away and if he should go see for himself. He slowly padded out of his den to see Jennifer right away. "Hey, Fredrick? Are you feeling ok?" He was hesitant to answer. "Well, I'm a bit stressed out... I mean Denny will attack any day now I'm sure of it. But what's taking him so long?" Jennifer frowned looking a bit worried Hereslf. "Are we even ready for war?" Fredrick looked around and shook his head.  "No, I don't think we are. I think we should move mabey." She frowned. "Or... maybe we can beat Denny we do have a lot of Pokemon in our group all we need is a good plan." Fredrick nodded. "I think I should talk to Roary he's good with plans." then he headed over to him but bumped into Kyle on the way. The shiny Lycanroc looked to be on edge. "Fredrick, can I have a word with you?" He asked and Fredrick nodded. "Sure what about?" He met his gaze. "About Jessie.. do you think she's ok?... I'm a bit worried about her." Fredrick could understand why, when he met Kyle he was with Jessie.
They must have been good friends... until she betrayed us.
Fredrick let out a sigh. "I'm worried about her too but we can't just leave to go find her what if Denny attacks?" The shiny Lycanroc looked frustrated with that answer "I'm sorry Fredrick but I need to find her I promise I'll come back but I want to make sure she's ok." Fredrick felt dreadful at the thought of Kyle going out there all alone with Denny's followers so close by. "You can't go alone What if you find trouble?" Kyle frowned "I'll take my chances then." Fredrick felt a bit taken aback he was so determined to find her.
Were they that close?
Fredrick frowned "I'll go with you then I want to be sure that she's safe as well." Kyle shook his head. "No Fredrick I think you should stay here... just in case." Fredrick felt stressed out with that answer. "b.. but I'm worried about you too." Kyle frowned "I'll be fine... just don't tell anyone I left ok?" Fredrick hated the idea of Kyle taking off on his own but knew there was no stopping him. "Ok... just try not to be away for too long ok?" Kyle nodded. "I won't be." And with that he got up and left.

Denny's P.O.V.

Denny was out in the forest looking for his ex-mate. "JESSIE!! You can't hide from me!" He screamed feeling a deep wave of pain in his chest as he ran on through the forest but couldn't find any clue of her anywhere. He began to feel sick with emotion and paused for a bit feeling miserable.
I loved her so much!... And she lied to me!
Denny sat down feeling a wave of depression fall over him.
what if I never see her again? And my unborn child what if I never find it?... I should at least get something out of this!
Denny looked up at the sky feeling sad.
Maybe I should wait until she has the egg first so I can at least have someone.
Denny lay down not caring that he was out in the open he closed his eyes and drifted off into sleep.
Denny opened his eyes to see that he was dreaming. He was standing in an open clearing somewhere out in a forest but he wasn't alone.
Why does this feel so real?)
He thought feeling a bit tense then he saw an Umbreon. "Shawn?" He asked then he felt embarrassed realizing that this Umbreon was shiny.
But wait... what's with his eyes?... are they supposed to be red?
Denny tensed up feeling nervous realizing he was glaring right at him his eyes full of emotion. "YOU!.. I HATE YOU I'll NEVER FORGIVE YOU!" Denny felt taken back
I feel like somehow I know him kinda?... but I don't know any shiny Umbreon.
The Umbreon glared cooly at him and then unsheathed his claws. Denny felt a bit frightened as he got pinned down by the evil-looking Umbreon a few tears ran down his cheeks. "Look at me!" He yelled and Denny felt scared. "Look I don't know what you want!" The Umbreon snarled with hate and then vanished and Denny found himself standing in a dark cave all by himself.
This is a very weird dream... but scary! Why did I feel a strange connection with that Umbreon? Denny looked around the room then something caught his eye in the center of the room lay a stone that was glowing with darkness and right away Denny could sense something very sinister about that stone.
Where the hell am I?... Is this place real?
then he heard a creepy voice. "You're in Darkrai's cave... Only the ones with evil that lies within their hearts can find this place." Denny started to tremble in fear.
Holly shit I've never been so afraid before!... but I can't even explain why I'm afraid!
Denny turned and tried to run but found no way out then he heard paw steps. "w..what do you want?" Denny asked the steps stopped in front of him but he could see no one there, just the same creepy voice. "Touch the stone... let it consume you." Denny turned his gaze back to the glowing rock and started shaking. "Umm, what will happen to me if I touch it?" The voice laughed "Ehhehe well you'll never know until you do.." Denny slowly made his way towards it and then paused in front of it.
Oh... if Shawn We're here right now... I'm scared will it kill me?
The voice hissed. "Yes touch it receive its great power let it consume you." Denny paused feeling a strong negative energy. "I. I don't want to... I won't!"
"Ehehe well, you'll never get out unless you do." Denny slowly placed his paw on the dark glowing stone. "....." He felt a big wave of Energy burst into him he collapsed onto the floor right away unable to stand on his paws as he felt great agony and pain shoots through his entire body.
What's happening to me?
Denny tried to let out a yell but felt too weak from the pain then he started to black out just as he did he heard that voice again "Eh heh you are now cursed... FOREVER!"

Denny burst open his eyes breathing hard he jumped to his paws, his heart still pounding in his chest. "Hah hah.." Then he clammed himself "It.. it was a dream... I'm not cursed... oh thank Arceus." He walked over to the river to look at himself he looked the same as before he slept. But.. why did it feel so real?
He felt a shiver when he thought about that cave he was in.
What if it's real?... no, it can't be... I had a nightmare that's all.
Denny decided to head back to his group.
Jessie will have to wait I got to finish what I started Fredrick may have gotten away but I'll find his whole camp which is better!
Once Denny got back to Voltaire's camp everyone was just getting up then Charlie ran up looking worried. "Denny what took you so long?... and where's Jessie?" He asked Denny rolled his eyes "Hmm, well it turns out that she was also a traitor... she's gone." The Jolteon looked shocked at the news "No... what happened? Did she attack you?" Denny shook his head "What do you care?" Charlie frowned "Look Denny I know you don't trust me... but I'm sorry I love you and I will always have your back I promise I don't care about Fredrick... please talk to me." Denny sat down feeling a bit lost.
Charlie is still family to me... at least he stayed by my side he could have ditched me as Shawn did but he didn't.
He finally sighed. "Well, she's shiny." Charlie frowned. "Oh, so what happened then?" Denny glared at him. "I don't want to talk about it right now let's just focus on our plan." Charlie looked a bit sad "But.. what about your egg?" Denny turned away. "We will get it after... I want to find that bitch she will pay for the pain she caused me... and I will still have my kid." Charlie smiled "And I'll help you." He nodded "Good now let's go, we have shinies to kill." Denny walked over to Voltaire and the big lion-like Pokemon looked impatient. "So it took you all night just to kill your brother?" He asked Denny shook his head "No.. something else happened but it doesn't matter now... I'm ready lead me to their camp and we shall fight together to bring them all down." Voltaire grew a big smile "With pleasure come on!" He took the lead and called "Come on everyone it's time for war!" Everyone fell in behind him following him. Denny slipped up to walk beside him.
This is my battle, not his!... Eh, he won't know what hit him when I turn on him and kill him with the rest.
