Chapter 37 Finding The Pecha Berry

Lupin's P.O.V.

As they were walking it started to snow and Lupin was struggling to keep up with Roary. The sun was slowly starting to rise. Lupin ran up to walk beside him he flinched when he saw his eye again Lupin sighed feeling bad for the Persian. "Roary did Denny do this to you?" He couldn't help but ask. Roary just nodded his head in response. Lupin let out a sad sigh. "I'm sorry"
"Sorry for what? Denny did this, not you," He growled. Lupin couldn't help feeling sorry for him. 'I just can't warp my head around why Denny would do this to him! especially if he was trying to get Roary to join him. Lupin decided to keep quiet after not wanting to upset the cat-like Pokemon more about the fact that his eye was gone.

Jessie's P.O.V

Jessie was lying in her bed, while Denny was pacing back and forth in distress. She sighed "Will you stop worrying? I'm sure Fredrick is as good as dead." He paused and shot her with a glare and she flinched. "I'm not worried about him anymore, I'm upset about the fact our prisoners got away and..." He trailed off not finishing his sentence. Jessie tilted her head in confusion. "And what?" She asked, he gritted his teeth like he was angry. "LUPIN! He's got some nerve coming into my den and spying on me! I was so close to killing him!" He paused and she sighed. "Don't worry you sent Mons out to find them I'm sure they will succeed." He frowns "I don't like the fact that Lupin got away! I want him captured no one makes a fool out of me! Plus I'm worried because he's trying to save Fredrick." She sighed and got up. Denny looked at her.
"Where are you going?" He asked. She smiled at him. "I'm gonna go find Lupin, I'm a fairy type he doesn't stand a chance with me." he looked surprised. "What? Your gonna go find him?" She nodded and walked up to him. "I know how important this is to you. I'll get him for you my love." His face turned red in a blush. "I should go with you." He offered but She stopped him with one of her feelers. "No, you stay here and do your thing as a leader, I can handle myself I'll come back with Lupin don't worry." He smiled at her as he lightly brushed her face with his paw. "Just be careful Jessie, and come back soon." He then kissed her. Jessie closed her eyes enjoying it then once he pulled away she blushed. "Oh, Denny there's something I want to tell you..." He leaned close to her. "Yeah, what is it?" She felt nervous "Umm well you see... how do I put it?" he pulled her closer to him. "You can tell me." He said softly to her as he kissed her on the cheek.
"Oh, Denny stop it! hehe," He gazed into her eyes.
"Jessie, what is it you want to tell me?" She froze at the den entrance before leaving. "Oh, um it's nothing." He looked puzzled and unconvinced. "Nothing? You're hiding something." She blushed "I just really love you that's all." Then she padded out.

Lupin's P.O.V

Lupin was getting tired after travelling for a few hours through the snow. To him, it felt like ages then finally Roary stopped. "We're here," He said in a calm voice. Lupin looked around feeling puzzled. "This is where we find that Glaceon?" His question was answered right away by a different voice. "Yes, this is my home." Lupin turned to see a male Glaceon ran up to them. "Roary what brings you here?" He asked, then When the Persian turned to look at him the Glaceon gasped in shock when he got a good look at his eye. "Oh, I see that's awful! but I'll see what I can do." Roary shook his head in frustration. "Don't bother there's nothing you can do to save it, besides that's not why I'm here." The Gaceon looked puzzled. "Oh? Then why are you here?" Lupin answered this time. "We came in desperate need of pecha berries, do have any?" He looked at Lupin with worry. "Oh no, is someone poisoned?" The Mightyena nodded his head. "He's a Flareon and his life depends on a pecha berry right now." The Glaceon frowned. "Well, I hope he is strong because I only have one left, I'll go get it." He turned and left leaving Lupin and Roary alone for a few minutes before returning with the peacha berry. Roary smiled as he took it. "Thanks, you have no idea how important this is to us." The Glaceon smiled and waved at them. "Take care Roary, come back and see me anytime, I'm always happy to help out an old friend who once saved my life moons ago!" Then he went back inside his den. Lupin looked at Roary in surprise. 'It seems like a lot of Pokemon know this Persian.... He saved me also when I lost my pack.' Roary nodded and they both quickly began padding back to the Lycanrock pack.

Jessie's P.O.V

Jessie left the camp behind her following the scent trail of Lupin trying to figure out where the Mightyena went. 'Hmm, they're hiding somewhere but were?' She kept walking when she spotted a huge ice rock She padded up to it curiously.
'It's a dead end here and this is where his sent trail leads. I must be missing something..
then she heard paw steps coming and she hid quickly and watched as two lycanrocks walked up and dug a hole close to the big ice rock. "Hey, when do you think Roary and Lupin will be back?" one asked and the other answered, "Probably sometime late tonight, I hope that Flareon is holding up ok."
"He just has to hold on until they return with the peacha berries." Then they disappeared inside a tunnel that went underground. Jessie was shocked at what she just saw and heard.
'Oh, this is just too good! Denny will be so happy with me, I found them!' then she ran off back towards camp.

Lupin's P.O.V

It was getting late by the time they got back to the Lycanrock pack. Lupin felt relieved 'There's still hope for Fredrick, he's going to be ok' He thought when he walked into the sleeping area where Fredrick was he felt shocked when he caught a glimpse of him. The shiny Flareon looked to be in very bad shape. Jennifer was lying beside him with a worried expression on her face then she turned to look at them. "Oh, great you got the berry!" Roary walked past her. "Step aside, I'll help him, I've saved lots of Pokemon lives before and I'm gonna save this one too." Lupin sat beside him watching as Roary pawed Fredrick lightly in the side but the Flareon made no movement.
He turned his red glare on Jennifer. "How long was he asleep for?" She looked scared. "Only a few hours." Roary shook his head in disappointment. "You shouldn't have let him sleep we're losing him!" He sounded a bit panicky and shook him again. "Fredrick, Fredrick wake up!"
