Chapter 11 A vision

Scarlet's P.O.V.

It was the crack of dawn, and Scarlet was out in the forest outside of camp. 'What's going on?
She thought as she could  hear battle cries coming from the camp. 'we're under attack? Why am I out in the forest? Then Erand slowly walked up to her. "So you're a traitor to Darle eh? I knew you were never one of us!!" He yelled
Then he ran towards her, Scarlet braced herself for a hit, but then she saw a flash of gold fur and Fredrick jumped on Erand.
"Scarlet!" Fredrick called to her "Get back to camp they need your help, I'll take care of Erand!" The shiny Absol hissed.
"You can try! I'm gonna kill you! you traitors!"
Scarlet ran for it, heading back to camp.
She was sprinting through the trees as fast as she could, she heard paw septs coming after her. *huff huff* Filled with panic she pushed herself to run faster, then the mon chasing her started gaining on her. "Help!" She yelled, then a Vaporeon jumped on her, and used water plus. "ugh!" Soaking wet Scarlet pushed him off and then got up ready for another attack but then she froze seeing that he wasn't shiny, And he was getting ready for another attack. "Wait!" She yelled. "You got it all wrong I'm on your side, I'm not loyal to Darle!" The Vaporeon didn't seem to hear her, so he used an ice beam and it hit her hard, Scarlet was on the ground shivering She tried to move but she was frozen, then the Vaporeon grabbed her and started dragging her away. "Where are you taking me? I'm on your side please stop this!" She begged.
The Vaporon didn't respond at all he just kept on walking on as if she hadn't said anything. Scarlet was desperately trying to move but couldn't.
'Oh Arceus am I gonna die? She thought, then filled with panic she started screaming. "Help! Someone help me!" She cried and started kicking, she forced herself to move, and she used psycho cut. "Oww! Dammit!" He dropped her. 'hu? That voice. He turned around and glared at her, Scarlet crouched down with her tail tucked between her legs. "I surrender this fight," she said, the Vaporeon growled, "This isn't a fight this is a war!" He snapped. "And In a war, there is no mercy all you shinies are going to die, I don't care anymore." Scarlet froze in horror. "D- Denny?" She tilted her head in confusion. 'No!' She thought. 'It's not Denny he would never do this, he's a Glaceon, not a Vaporeon'
without answering he dashed at her his tail glowing silver taking her by surprise, as he hit her with an iron tail the impact of the move caused her to fall backwards into a river that she hadn't realized was there. "No!" She splashed in helplessly splashing around. "Please! Help me! I can't swim!" She begged.
The Vaporeon just glared at her. "Why should I help you? I tried to teach you when we were kids but you didn't want to learn." She felt more shocked hearing those words. 'It is Denny!
"Please I'm your sister! I'm sorry!"
He smirked at her. "I told you it could save your life one day, and now here you are, you're on your own." Then he took off "Noo! Come back! help me please!" Her words were drowned out by the water filling her mouth. Heartbroken she sunk under the water watching as the surface got further away, kicking hard trying to get back up, but the more she struggled the closer she got to losing her breath until finally her lungs were screaming for air and she couldn't hold her breath anymore and she fell Into blackness as she sucked in all the water.

Scarlet shot out of bed gasping for air
*gasp* *gasp*
Fredrick woke up right away looking deeply alarmed. "What's going on!" He ran to Scarlet immediately. "Are you all right? what's wrong with your breathing?" Richard got closer to her. "Scarlet calm down just breathe, take little breaths at a time." Scarlet finally got control of her breathing then she let out a sigh relief. *phew* "Oh, thank Arceus it was just a dream!" Fredrick looked worried. "More like a night terror if you ask me." Richard sat down beside her "Well whatever your nightmare was you are safe now."
She sat up. "But why did Does it feel so real? it's like I saw the future.
Richard sighed. "Some dreams may seem that way, but don't worry you will be ok." Then he padded out of the den. Fredrick hugged her "Scarlet I will always be there for you, I'm your brother." she sighed "Oh, Fredrick I had the worst dream ever, but I know it would never happen for real." Fredrick looked at her. "Why? What happened?"
"I think it was Denny he was a Vaporeon, and he killed me." Fredrick had a look of disbelief on his face and he shook his head. "No, he would never do that! he's gonna come back and save us. Not kill us, he wouldn't he's our brother."
Scarlet sighed. "Yes him and Shawn, I know they will come for us." Richard came back inside the den with an annoyed look on his face. "Great more trouble is coming," He growled.
Pawsteps approached the den.
"What do you want?" Richard asked in a mean voice. The voice was a female.
"I just wanted to talk with you in privet, if you don't mind?"
Richard gave a big sigh. "OK, fine! but hurry it up." A shiny Delpfox walked into the den
Scarlet recognized her right away. "Hey you were the one who kept watch on us the night our brothers got away." she pointed out.
The Delpfox nodded her head. "You can call me Kristy" Fredrick glared at her. "So why are you here again?" He asked, she met his gaze. "Clam down I'm on your side, I'm not loyal to Darle," Richard grunted. "Oh yeah? then why were you on guard duty, that night? Darle obviously trusts you"
"Because I earned his trust with lies."
Fredrick looked puzzled "But why? Why give up your dignity?" She glared at Fredrick "Because it's the only way around here! If he doesn't trust you, then you're gonna have a hard time here, You're not even allowed to go out hunting right now if you wanted to." Scarlet looked down at her paws. "You know she's right, we're just prisoners right now, maybe we should listen to her."
Richard grunted, "So what you're here to give us advice?"
"I'm trying to help you, and there's something I wanna tell you also, there are a lot of us that don't want to be here, we have a secret group in camp that Darle doesn't know about."
Fredrick and Richard both looked at her. "What do you mean?" Fredrick asked. "We're gonna have a secret meeting tomorrow at nightfall and I'm inviting you, but you can't say anything out loud, There are too many shiny Pokemon that are with Darle because they are selfish and greedy"
She spat. Scarlet padded closer to her. "So where is this meeting?"
"In my den," Kristy answered.
She padded outside the den and pointed with her stick wand. "Over there you see? Tomorrow night don't forget." Then she already walked away heading back towards her own den.
Richard smiled. "Finally some mons that are on our side, this will be good, I think we should go."
Fredrick nodded in agreement. "Maybe they are making a plan for us to all escape together."
Richard nodded. "Or maybe to get rid of Darle so things can go back to the way they were." Scarlet sat down. "I hope so, I hate it here"
Then Darle suddenly called out. "Everyone gather around for a meeting now!"
Richard padded outside. "We better go see what he has to say." All the shinies were gathered around then Erand septed up. "I would like to make a challenge!" Darle growled. "Erand did I give you permission to speak?" Erand dropped his head and grumbled, "No, sir.."
"Then shut up, I'm the one in control around here not you!" Darle flew up to his tree so everyone could see him "Shinies! I am disappointed in some of you." Darle's red eyes landed on Richard. The shiny Houndoom growled, "What! What did I do?"
Darle grunted "You are the third mon in charge around here so I expect more from you."
Richard got mad. "I said no to that offer!"
"Well, I'm the king, and what I say goes and I say yes, you are whether you like it or not!"
Erand stood up tall looking outrageous. "That position was offered to me first! you can't just give it to him, he doesn't even want it!"
Darle flew down from his tree and landed right in front of Erand. "You don't speak to me like that! Not Ever!" He slapped Erand hard across the face with his claws and blood splattered on the ground. Erand's face now had a big nasty claw mark on it. "Owwch!" He rubbed a paw on his face then looked mad seeing the blood on his paw. "GERR! I would like to challenge Richard for that position!" he declared.
Darle grunted. "Fine suit yourself but I know already that you will fail, but if you somehow manage to beat Richard then the position is yours." Richard got up and started padding towards the shiny Absol. "Oh, I'm going to enjoy this." All the shiny Pokemon cleared away making space for them to have a battle. Erand and Richared were now facing each other in the middle of the clearing. Scarlet watched with interest as Fredrick leaned closer to her. "Good Erand will finally get what he deserves."
"Yeah I hope Dad really gives it to him, Erand is just right out selfish and mean." She agreed with him. "Ready?" Darle asked.
Richard and Erand both nodded their heads at him. "All right fight!" He yelled.
Erand used a shadow claw right away and it hit Richard, Richard growled and threw a shadow ball right back before Erand could move.
"To slow Erand!" Darle called out Erand growled and charged at Richard, but Richard charged back at him and hit him head-on with his horns Erand got knocked down and Richard used flame burst. "Ger!" Erand tried to get up, but Richard shot him back down again and used Dark Plus.
Darle stood up. "That's really pathetic Erand really?" Erand yelled, "Stupid Houndoom you're going down!" He got up and used a quick attack, it hit Richard but it wasn't very effective, then Richard used overheat, and finished him off with a flamethrower, and Erand fainted.
Darle grunted, "Well that was kinda sad, but congratulations Richard you are now third in command!" Richard had his head up high. "I just wanted a good fight with him, he had this long coming!"
"OK the meetings over now!" Darle flew off to his den without another word. Kristy walked up to Richard. "This is good Richard great job!" She smiled and Fredrick looked at Kristy. "Why?"
"I'll tell you why tomorrow night, please be there." Then she walked away Scarlet sat up and stretched a little bit. "Well I guess we will find out tomorrow night then"

The next following night

Scarlet was sitting outside of Kristy's den with her brother and father. It was the next night already Scarlet and was thinking about her dream again. 'Was it a vision?, but if I saw the future does that mean I'm gonna die for real?
Her ears went down along the sides of her head as it made her scared to think that. 'Oh, no.'
"Hey, Scarlet? Are you alright?" Fredrick suddenly asked looking at her with concern. She quickly perked her ears back up. "Yupe I'm fine." She lied. Then she let out a sigh as Kristy came out. "Oh good you made it! come on in." They all walked into her den there were about 15 other Pokemon there Scarlet frowned.
'What? out of this whole camp only 15 are Innocent? she thought feeling uneasy about it.
Richard grunted, "What's this about?"
Kristy looked at him. "We don't want to be stuck in this forest for the rest of our lives."
Fredrick sat up fluffing out his main. "But we won't our brothers are gonna come back one day and help us defeat Darle." Kristy looked at him "Really? I don't mean to be rude, but your brothers are not the first who tried to kill Darle, and it will be very unpleasant if they fail."
Scarlet waved her tail. "Umm, I have a strong feeling they will succeed."
'And a bad feeling that Denny wants to kill me for some reason. she closed her eyes feeling worried about it she didn't want to die by the cause of her own brother. A female Weavile walked up to them. "I'm Mille, we just wanted to meet you so you could be familiar with us." Fredrick looked around the den glancing at everyone. "So what are you planning anyway then?" Kristy met his blue gaze. "We're trying to get as many of us as we can so we can take down Darle, and having three recruits are good, especially the fact that Richard is third in command, now you just have to earn Darle's trust, so you can have that freedom to get out in the forest, whenever you please."
"So everyone in camp thinks you're all loyal to Darle but you're really on our side?" Scarlet asked."yes, but we can't let Darle find out so when we leave this den we have to act like we're mean and selfish." Mille answered.
"Ok, I think that sums it up them," Kristy said and everyone got up and left.
Richard got up and padded outside. Scarlet padded up to Kristy. "What is the fastest way to earn Darle's trust?" She asked. "I wanna go see the forest."
"Well I think the answer would be to Challenge someone or pick a fight, that's what a lot of them do, and to be nice towards Cleo, I know it's hard because they killed your mother but it's the only way around here." Fredrick sighed "Thanks for the advice." Scarlet padded outside the den with Fredrick right behind her and they both went back to their den together. Scarlet was tired She yawned and laid down beside Fredrick closing her eyes and falling asleep."
