Chapter 55 Another Tragic War

Fredrick's P.O.V.

Fredrick was wrestling with Lupin when suddenly Roary yelled. "This is no time for games I think we should prepare ourselves for when Denny gets here. We must come up with a plan." Fredrick paused to look at him and thought for a moment. "Umm, I don't think we stand a chance I think we'd better move." Roary shook his head "It's a bit too for that now. We're stuck to face him. But I think maybe if I could just get a jump on Denny and kill him then maybe there doesn't have to be a war." Fredrick felt like he'd been stabbed in the chest hearing that.
Denny is all I have left for a family. Does he have to die? Isn't there another way?
Fredrick spoke his mind. "I never really got a chance to talk with him. Maybe there doesn't have to be a war if I could just talk things out with him first." Roary looked frustrated. "Umm didn't you have that chance when he held you captive?" Fredrick shook his head. "He never gives me the chance he just waves his tail and dismisses me or tries to rip out my throat." Roary frowned. "Then why would he listen to you now?" Fredrick frowned "Just let me try please." Jennifer let out a sigh glancing at Roary. "He doesn't want you to kill Denny." He shook his head "It must be done." Fredrick frowned. "Fine but if anyone is gonna do it at least let it be me." Jennifer looked worried. "Umm Fredrick I don't think that's a good idea."
"She's right you don't stand a chance against him. Let me handle it I'm very skilled at fighting I know I can beat him." Fredrick shook his head. "No, I'll fight him or die trying." There was a long moment of silence before Jennifer broke it. "You can't! You'll die don't you want to live your life after this is all over?" Jennifer asked in a worried tone. Fredrick nodded "I want nothing more than to live in peace. But Denny is the last of my family... please understand." Roary sighed "Fine so what's your plan? I hope you know he's probably just going to attack us when we're not expecting it." Fredrick met his gaze. "OK, what if you and I attack him and then when we have him at our mercy maybe he'll listen to me." Roary nodded. "OK, sounds good and if he refuses then kill him." Fredrick nodded. "Yeah then hopefully this will all be over." Lupin approaches them. "I think maybe I should help Fredrick instead. I knew Denny from when I was a kid he might listen to me. I'm not a shiny and I did nothing to him he should have nothing against me." Roary looked frustrated. "Fine, but I'll be close by just in case." Fredrick looked around "Well I suppose we can get ready then. He could attack anytime." Everyone in camp got busy battle-practicing.

Denny's P.O.V.

Denny was walking beside the shiny Luxray
"We're almost there." He said and Denny started to get worked up As they neared Fredrick's camp Charlie padded beside Denny. "So, what about Jessie?.. are you planning on killing her too?"  "Yes but not now," Denny replied in an icy tone. Then once the camp came into view Voltaire greeted Denny. "All alright let's do this!" Denny halted him. "No, not yet!" He felt frustrated with the Luxray as he growled. "Umm yes, now I'm in charge here," Denny growled back. "Yeah of your group You don't order my followers around. Now I think it would be better to attack when they are all sleeping." The shiny Luxray looked mad for a bit then sighed in defeat. "Ok, fine so what now? We wait here?" Denny nodded. "Yes it's only a matter of time... you wait here while I find the best place strike." The Vaporon slipped away sneaking around the edges of the shiny camp.

Fredrick's P.O.V.

Night had fallen and he was getting ready for bed when suddenly he heard a familiar voice. "Don't go to bed just yet." He turned around to see an Umbreon standing in his den. "Shawn! You're here!" Fredrick felt happy to see his dead brother, but the Umbreon had a serious look on his face that made the hairs on Fredrick's pelt stand on end. "Shawn? Is something wrong?" He nodded in response. "Fredrick come quickly I need to show you something." Feeling puzzled he followed him outside. The Umbreon led him into the trees then pointed with his paw and Fredrick's jaw dropped. He saw Denny assembling his army and getting ready for another attack. Shawn looked at him wearily. "Fredrick, he's Come for you! You must warn the others! And Hurry!" Fredrick didn't hesitate to turn tail immediately and ran back shouting out an alarm cry. "WAKE UP!! WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!!" Lupin's eyes grew wide with shock and he howled to get everyone's attention.
Everyone started running out of their dens. Then as if on cue a whole army of Pokemon burst into camp.
Fredrick watched dismayed as lots of Mons lunch at each other and battle cries broke out. He stood where he was collecting himself. He heaved a heavy sigh and then began darting through the battling Mons trying to find out where his older brother was dodging attacks in the process. As he was weaving his way through the clashing battle he suddenly let out a screech filled with pain as he felt sharp claws sink into his skin leaving a cut mark. He looked up to see a Charizard standing over him growling. He quickly used shadow ball and as soon as the Charizard got hit, he took the opportunity to flee from the bigger Mon. Fredrick then caught sight of Roary. As he tried to make his way towards him he suddenly felt sharp claws ripped a tuft of fur from his back. "Not so fast! You're mine to kill!" Hearing that voice made the shiny Flareon bristle as he got yanked backwards. "Hey!" Fredrick broke free right away and then turned around to face his brother. "Denny!" He spat. "You just had to find me didn't you?" The Vaporeon shot him with a cold glare. "So you thought you could rise up against me? Well thanks for gathering up all these shinies and making it easier for me." He mocked. Fredrick sighed. "Look Denny before you try and kill me please let me explain myself." Denny suddenly looked mad shook his head and then hissed. "I don't want to hear your words! You lost your chance!" Then he pulled out three glowing gems and Fredrick felt sick to his stomach recognizing them at once. "DENNY NO!!" He knocked them out of his brother's paws before he could use them and dived forward garbing one while Denny grabbed the other two. Fredrick quickly got back up and ran only to be cut off by Charlie. "Not so fast kid!" He tried to push past him but the Jolteon pushed him down. "No! Why are you doing this?" He hissed.
Then Denny ran up to him. "Hand it over!" Fredrick gripped the Jem firmly in his paw refusing.
'No way! I'll die before I watch everyone die again!'
"Over my dead body!" He snarled at his older brother. Denny just smirks unsheathing his claws. "With pleasure!" He used a hydro pump two times on Fredrick and knew his brother was just trying to weaken him. The shiny Flareon tried to move but Charlie held him down while he took more and more hits until he became too weak. Denny placed his paw out gesturing for Fredrick to hand it over. He shook his head and yelled. "NEVER!"
The Vaporeon ripped it from Fredrick's paws. "I was going to kill you first like You insisted but I don't want you to miss this!" Fredrick watched Denny in horror as he used them just like he had before. They flew up into the sky sending out a signal. Fredrick felt too weak to get up. "Why?" He finally choked out weakly Denny didn't answer instead he approached him slowly. "Heh I have you right where I want you now, this looks just like before, except Shawn isn't here to save you this time." Fredrick braced himself for the worst as Denny started charging up for a hydro pump and then heard a panic yell. "NOO I won't let you!" A shiny Glaceon rammed into the Vaporeon knocking him sideways away from Fredrick. He watched in shock as she clawed at him and then used an ice beam attack. Denny used an iron tail and Fredrick got up using a flamethrower hitting Charlie knocking the Jolteon backwards. Then he turns and quickly used
hyperbeam on his brother who looked stunned as his move hit him. Fredrick ran over and pinned him down for the first time then used bite. He raised his paw with extended claws threatening to kill him but when he caught the look in his brother's eye it only sent a shiver down Fredrick's spine. Denny didn't seem scared at all. He was amused by this instead. He let out a disturbing laugh. "Heh, heh heh heh." Jennifer shared the same puzzled look with him then Fredrick growled. "It's Over Denny, I have you!" Fredrick said trying to sound vicious as he sank his claws into Denny's shoulders. "Any last words?" He asked. Denny smirked at him. "Heh, Fredrick I know you're not going to kill me You're too weak. I'm all you've got left." Fredrick froze feeling his chest tighten with grief.
'He's right I didn't want it to come to this.'
As he was hesitant to make the final move Jennifer hissed. "Don't listen to him! Just do it, Fredrick." Denny sorted. "Yeah, Fredrick kill me! Kill your last sibling! I've succeeded anyways those legendaries are coming for you shiny Pokemon." Fredrick slowly got up letting him go. "I can't... He is all I have left." He hung his head Miserably in defeat. "I'm sorry... I can't bring myself to do it." Jennifer looked utterly hurt. "WHAT!!" She explained clearly upset. "What about me? Do I mean nothing to you?" Fredrick could only stare at her completely taken off guarded by her reaction. Pain flashed in her eyes when he made no response and she shoved past him and stormed off disappearing back into the battle. "Jennifer wait!" He stared after her in shock he had no idea that the shiny Glaceon cared about him that much. Denny scoffs. "Hahaha, really Fredrick? Even I could tell she liked you, she fought for you!" Fredrick turned to face Denny only to be attacked by Articuno who took him by surprise scooping him off the ground in its sharp talons. Fredrick gave a shriek of terror and then used overheat causing the bird-like Pokemon to drop him. Fredrick hit the ground hard groaning in pain watching as Denny smirked at him. The Vaporeon raised his head and called out. "Kill every last shiny Pokemon!" Then he turned his head towards Fredrick and said in a cold voice. "Starting with the shiny Flareon!" Fredrick felt a cold chill as many Pokemon turned towards him including the legendary birds. He stood back looking around desperately for an escape. "Let's see you survive this Fredrick!" Denny mocked. Roary jumped at Moltress before it could get to Fredrick and used a thunder fang on it while Jennifer fought with Zapadose. "Fredrick look out!" Lupin ran to his aid and used attacks to push everyone back. The shiny Flareon let out a relieved sigh as he noticed his group was fighting them off making it difficult for anyone to reach him. Voltaire's yell suddenly rang out. "YOU TRAITOR!" He jumped at Moltress and used discharge bringing it down and raking his claws hard across its face sending it flying back into the sky retreating. Fredrick soon realized that the legendary birds were losing. Denny yelled out in an angry voice "Take the shinies to the ice mountains! Capture as many as you can!" And with that Moltres and Zapdos swooped down picking up shiny Mons and carrying them away. Fredrick felt like his paws were rooted to the ground as he could only stare in shock and confusion as a whole bunch of flying types started swarming up in the air Roary ran over to Jennifer who screamed in terror as she was lifted off the ground. "HELP ME!" She screamed Fredrick ran for her. "JENNIFER!!" But Lupin stopped him "TAKE COVER RETREAT!!" He howled. Fredrick didn't know what to do as he stared up at the sky watching as countless flying types were carrying so many shiny Pokemon away.
What the fuck is happening? I have to save Jennifer!'
Voltaire screamed. "GER!! YOU SON OF A BITCHES!" He killed a Charizard and then ran off. Denny and his army fell back separating and Roary yelled, "RUN!" Then he heard Denny's voice "I want the shiny Flareon! Whoever brings him to me will be rewarded! I just want him!" Roary gave Fredrick a hard shove. "Move it! Now!" Fredrick couldn't Believe his ears.
Did Denny just bribe his group to capture me? Ok.... what the hell is happening with my life?
He saw Shawn's ghost again. "Fredrick this way!" He nodded without hesitation and followed running at full speed with Lupin behind right him. "Fredrick, who are you talking to? You're going the wrong way!" He sounded panicky but he flashed back. "Just trust me!" He yelled keeping his eyes locked on his brother. "Come on Fredrick Come On!" Shawn sounded worried. Fredrick could hear the loud beating of wings getting close and saw Shadows closing in around him hearing voices "I see him!"
"Get him!" Lupin yelp. "Fredrick!!" Fredrick tripped as he got hit by a move and Lupin quickly yanked his scruff and pulled in into a tunnel under a rock quickly panting as shapes landed on the ground outside. Fredrick felt sick as his heart pounded in his chest and Lupin also looked scared. Shawn nudged the Flareon. "This way." Fredrick followed him deeper into the tunnel with Lupin on his tail. "Fredrick wait!" They kept going and then eventually found daylight and reached the end of it and hid under a bush right away. Fredrick was trembling a bit feeling shocked at what just happened. "Jen... they've taken her... I treated her so badly before they took her..." Tears started forming in his eyes and Lupin met his gaze and then looked down. "Roary... I hope he's ok." Then they both went quiet as more of Denny's followers surrounded the area searching for them. Fredrick saw that Roary had to climb up a tree and was hiding while others from their group were being held captive among Denny's followers. The Vaporeon looked mad as he surveyed them and growled jumping down to approach them. "OK, no Mon is going to waste my time! Where's Fredrick?!" He demands. Fredrick tried to move only for Lupin to stop him shaking his head. "No." He whispered, "There's nothing we can do for them now." Fredrick watched as one by one they got put down by Denny's followers. He closed his eyes feeling sick to the bone. Shawn stood a few paw steps away. "You know I'm sorry to say this but I'm glad I'm dead already. Denny has turned into a psycho." Shawn gave Fredrick a sad look. "Stay strong Fredrick we'll always be watching over you." He said before slowly fading away.
Fredrick felt scared then started to whimper as Denny headed away Lupin frowned. "I know we lost... our group is scattered.... or held captive now." Fredrick looked at him "There has to be a way we can rescue them... I feel awful I hadn't known Jennifer cared for me... Lupin we have to get them back!" Then Roary jumped down from his tree "No we need to find the rest of our group before Denny does! Those who got taken away... I'm sorry but it's hopeless for them now." Fredrick opened his mouth to argue but Lupin stopped him. "We'll come up with a plan later but for now we must find the rest of our scattered group before your brother does or he'll kill them," Fredrick then gave up and decided right now that would be the best option.

Jessie's P.O.V.

I felt scared hearing all the battle cries assuming that my X-mate must have attacked his brother's camp. I moaned in Paine trying not to scream as I felt the egg coming.
I shouldn't have to be alone for this... Denny should be here.
I felt tears dripping down my cheeks as I gave birth alone hiding in a bush.
