Chapter 64 A Hard Lesson Learned

Denny's P.O.V

Denny could feel Fredrick's gaze on them as they walked away 'and to think I almost had him dead. I kinda like this a bit better now he will suffer more heartbreak and he will die when this is over.' Denny glanced at Anthony thinking 'Perhaps he's like me and if so he'll want Fredrick dead now.' then after walking a while they finally reach Denny's camp.
Denny hesitated glancing at Anthony 'he's a great shiny how do I do this without looking bad?' Anthony paused "Is this your camp?" Denny nodded "Yes." then Charlie came running over "Denny I was worried what took you so long?" Denny was tempted the wack the Jolteon but thought better of it.
"Thanks for bailing on me!" He snapped then Charlie looked at Anthony "Who is he? if anything thought you would have got Fredrick."
"So what has Fredrick done to you exactly?" Anthony asked Denny "There will be time for that later." He met Charlie's gaze "You remember Jessie had an Eevee?" Excitement flashes in the Jolteon's gaze "You mean the kids alive!" He looked at Anthony "No way! This is your son? but how?." Anthony looked a bit curious "Umm yea what did happen if you didn't kill my mother?" Charlie looked a bit uncomfortable.
Denny hissed "Fredrick had him he raised him in that shiny camp of his." Charlie pinned his ears back "Well at least he's alive..."
"Charlie, can you tell Zeta he's in charge of the camp for a few days then come back? I can't bring Anthony into camp just yet you know?" The Jolteon nodded then took off leaving the two of them alone.
"Ok, so who is that?"
"He's Charlie he's not my real father but he did realize me and my brother, not Fredrick I had another brother but he died." Anthony looked shocked. "Fredrick told me that his name was Shawn he said that you drowned him in a river." Denny felt irritated "That's a lie. I think Fredrick may have corrupted you." Then finally Charlie returned "ok so where are we going then?" Denny nodded "Follow me I'll explain later." And they all moved on.
Anthony was walking beside Denny "ok I'll tell you what happened kid. First off sorry to say but your mother was a horrible Pokemon she lied to me from the start she never really loved me she only loved that I had power so she used me and when she had you she completely left me and I went after her to find you.. but she lied and put on an act saying that you were dead." Anthony looked shocked "and... what happened to her?" Denny met his gaze "I didn't want her to die kid but I had no choice because she attacked me so I did what I had to."
"But how did I end up with Fredrick?"
"She probably didn't want you so she must have given you to Fredrick before she lied to me about you."
"And now about Fredrick." Denny placed out his paw to show a scare "Fredrick has this same scare on his paw when we were Eevees we used to be best friends until Darle happened we got separated."
"And that's when I came in." Charlie huffed out "Denny and Shawn we're just Eevees at the time and after watching their mother being burned alive Darle had sentenced them to meet the same fate but luckily for them, I was able to sneak them out which meant separating them from their father, Fredrick and Scarlet."
Anthony gave a Charlie puzzled look "So you like a foster father? like Fredrick was to me?"
He nodded "yea except I didn't lie to Denny and Shawn they always knew who their parents were."
"Anyways one day I found Fredrick but he chose to stay with Darle. I even had a dream of Fredrick being in Darles camp and Darle had given him the choice to leave but he stayed.... and at the war, he turned on me they all did." Anthony looked shocked "That's not what Fredrick told me." Denny shook his head "Oh no of course not he told you in the bad guy and right now he's making an army outta shiny Pokemon, as nice as he may sound his intentions are dire it's Darle all over again."
Anthony looked down at his paws with a hurtful expression "I looked up to him. I admired him so much, I loved him he was like a hero in my head how could I have been so blind?." Denny rested his tail on his shoulder "Fredrick hurt me too in the same way.... he let me down and now he's trying to kill me."
Anthony looked at Denny "but he said that you became a vaporeon just so-"
Denny cut him off "So I could live if I became a glaceon like I always wanted to I would have been dead by now." Anthony's mouth dropped then he looked at Denny "So you're not trying to kill all shiny then? only trying to stop Fredrick?" Denny nodded "Exactly now I think it's time we stop for the night." Anthony nodded "Well as an Umbreon im good at hunting when it's dark so I'm going hunting." Then he padded off leaving Denny and Charlie alone.
"So umm Denny what will we say to the group when we go back?" Denny turned a glare at him "Anthony's not staying with us." Charlie looked taken aback "What? Do you mean we are going to kill him? But he's your son!" Denny growled "I know that! look Charlie it isn't going to work and you know why! He's a shiny and Fredrick already corrupted him you think he's any better than the rest of them?"
Charlie didn't answer "So where are we taking him?" Denny smiled "Oh trust me I have a plan with Anthony all right and you'll see soon enough." Then the shiny Umbreon returned with Preay and they all shared after they were done eating Anthony looked at Denny "So... where are we going?"
"Oh you'll find out tomorrow kid it's a surprise." He cocked his head to one side "Oh, ok then.." he went over to sleep under a tree and Denny sat down for a bit then got to his paws and decided to go out for a bit because he can't sleep Then he noticed Anthony did the same thing the Shiny Umbreon got up and padded out into the forest.
'He does take after me, doesn't he?'
Denny headed towards the river and dived in going for a swim then he heard a voice "I like what you planning." Denny jumped at the sound of Cleo's voice "What do you want?"
"To remind you of your part of the deal you don't have to take the curse but someone does and you knew exactly what to do I'm proud of you." Denny gritted his teeth 'This is for a different reason!' Cleo smiled "yea to destroy Fredrick's camp tomorrow I can take you there."
Denny jumped out of the water heading back towards his bed once he lay down he noticed Anthony was asleep now. Closing his eyes he drifted off to sleep.
