Chapter 24 A Rescue Mission

Fredrick's P.O.V.

Fredrick watched quietly from his hiding place as all the shiny Pokemon were brutally murdered by the three legendary Pokemon. He felt sick watching it. 'So, many innocent lives... And for what? Just being shiny? Fredrick watched helplessly as Kristy and a bunch of shinies tried running for the camp entrance only for their escape route to be cut off by Rayquaza.
Fredrick didn't want to watch anymore he closed his eyes and covered his ears until the screaming died down. It was Silent for a bit and then everyone started cheering, "WOOO! Victory!"
'What's wrong with these guys? How can they possibly be cheering after something so cruel just happened?
Fredrick opened his eyes to see Denny was sitting in Darle's usual spot. The three legendaries went up to him. "All the shinies are dead, anything else before we go?" Denny shook his head. "I got what I wanted you are excused now." Then the three legendaries all left. Zeta walked up to Denny. "We did it Daniel! we won! Those good-for-nothing shinies all got what they deserved." Denny dipped his head. "Yes, Zeta indeed they did." He looked around and then Shawn ran up to him. "DENNY! HOW COULD YOU?!" He cried. "Where's Fredrick? What happened? Did you kill him?"
Denny looked at Shawn. "I didn't do it, he must have gotten eaten by Kyoger or something, but who cares we got our victory now." Fredrick felt hurt by Denny's words. 'He thinks I'm dead and he doesn't even care. Not about me or Scarlet. Shawn's fur bristled in rage and he peeled his lips back in a snarle. "What good is victory when everyone you love is dead!" He wailed out, then started walking away. Denny ran up to Shawn. "Umm, You still got me." Shawn glared at him. "No, I never want to see you again." To Fredrick's surprise, the Vaporeon flinched looking hurt by the Umbreon's words. "Shawn I-"
"Save it! You lied to me! You told me we were gonna save them but you killed everyone instead! Look around! There's not one shiny Pokemon left alive!!" 'Expect me. Fredrick thought.
Then Shawn broke down crying. "I... I trusted you, Denny! So all this time you were sneaking around behind my back you were planning to kill everyone? Is that what you were hiding from me?!" Denny didn't answer and Fredrick was shocked by that. 'Shawn didn't even see it coming... Denny lied to him.
Then the Umbreon shouted. "ANSWER!"
"YES OK!!" He shouted back. "Look Shawn you just don't understand! They were shiny!"
"They were our family Denny!!"
"They were loyal to Darle Shawn! They didn't care about us!!" Fredrick hung his head feeling miserable. 'Yes, I do care! I never stopped caring why does he think that?
Shawn hissed. "I want nothing to do with you!" Denny glared at him. "Shawn, you are coming with me to the ice mountains like it or not!" Shawn's eyes grew wide with shock. "What? no, I'm not!" Shawn tried to run then Zeta grabbed him. "Let's be on our way then shall we?" Denny nodded. "Yes, if we go now we can make it by midnight." Denny started leading the way and everyone started following. Fredrick tagged along in the crowd feeling confused as to what was going on. 'Why are all these Pokemon going with him? Does Denny think he's king shit now? Fredrick had to hold back a growl as he watched them taking Shawn against his will.
'This isn't right! Whatever this is I have to save Shawn!
Shawn started yelling. "Let me go!" He bit Zeta and ran but then another Pokemon grabbed him, and he started crying. "You can't do this Denny! I will never be like you!" Denny paused and padded up to Shawn. "Look, Shawn, I'm sorry I lied, I think we should talk later. I think maybe you might see things my way." Fredrick was starting to feel frustrated. 'Why is Denny doing this?! You can't froce Shawn to be like you!
Shawn started crying. "You killed Scarlet! You let Fredrick and Dad die! You killed over 100 innocent lives!" Denny growled. "They had to die! They all deserved it!"
"Even Fredrick and Scarlet? they loved you! They relied on you to save them! And you killed them!"
Denny snarled. "Fredrick and Scarlet had it coming! I regret nothing, Shawn, maybe someday you'll understand!" Fredrick felt his eyes become teary as Denny's words cut him deeper than the claw marks on his pelt. 'I still love Denny, why does he hate me? I wish Scarlet was here but she is dead. Fredrick remembered watching her die Denny had her pinned and ripped her throat open, blood all around them, Then after Denny was on top of Fredrick ready to kill him next. 'I'm lucky Shawn was there or I would be dead right now. Some Pokemon turned to look at Fredrick.
"Hu? Who's this guy?" Someone asked.
"Was there a Flareon that joined Denny before the war?" Denny looked at Fredrick, then padded towards him. Fredrick felt his blood run cold.
'Oh, no I'm in trouble he saw me crying!
Fredrick quickly wiped his tears away then Denny glared at him. "I saw you at the battle, I was busy at the time I never did get to question who you were. Or why you were there." Fredrick swallowed nervously then did his best to mimic his voice. "Umm, my name is Frankly."
"Frankly? That's an ugly name, so why are you in my group? And where did you come from?"
Fredrick felt alarmed by the question. Oh, Arceus! what do I say now?
"Umm, I just knew Drale from long ago because. When I heard about the battle, I wanted to help."
Denny eyed him suspiciously for a bit. "But the battle is over now, these Pokemon are loyal to me that's why they're coming with me, but why are you here?"
"Umm, I was planning on asking if I could join you." Denny held his gaze and then laughed a little. "Haha ok, but once you're in, there's no going back. I do not tolerate betrayal, I'm just gonna tell you this now." Fredrick nodded. "Go on." Denny sighed. "I hate shiny Pokemon I went threw a lot in my past, if I ever see any shiny I kill them, if you come with me you will do as I say, and kill when I tell you, I plan to wipe out more shiny then what you saw today so are you in on that?" Fredrick was stunned for a bit then he finally spoke. "Can I just ask why? Not all shiny are bad." Denny shook his head. "Not from what I saw, you should have seen the way they behave, I will not stand for it, I'm gonna put an end to it, all of it! There will be no more shinies! Not while I'm around, besides.. What if we come across another crazy like Darle? I'm doing the World a favour." Denny looked at Fredrick. "Can I have your support?" Fredrick nodded. "Ok, good now let's go," Denny said. Shawn was watching them in shock."Your crazy..." Denny ignored him as he padded past Shawn taking the lead once more as they began moving. Shawn hissed.
"I don't want to be part of anything you just said! Denny let me go!" Fredrick frowned thinking about what it 'So killing everyone in Darles camp wasn't enough? Shawn is right, Denny is crazy...
