Chapter 25 the ice Mountains

Shawn's P.O.V

Shawn awoke the next morning and looked outside, it was still dark outside but he couldn't sleep anymore he was feeling paranoid. 'What if Denny sends out flying types to take us back to him? Fredrick will die if that happens. I already lost Scarlet, and Dad I can't bear the thought of losing Fredrick next!
Shawn got up and began probing Fredrick in the side. "Psst Fredrick, wake up it's time to go."
Fredrick lifted his head, his eyes were dull with sleep. "Hu? I'm really tired wake me up later."
Shawn felt frustrated. 'Why is Fredrick always lazy when it comes to getting out of bed?
"Fredrick! I think we should go, Denny will be looking for us." Fredrick suddenly got up. "I forgot we're in the ice mountains!" Shawn sighed "I think we should go before someone finds us I'm scared." Fredrick nodded then sighed.
"Ok, just stay Calm Shawn we'll be fine, Denny's not gonna find us." Then Fredrick led the way outside. They both looked around. "F-Fredrick I'm scared I don't know if I can do this we're out in the open someone will spot us." Fredrick looked annoyed. "Look it's not like we have a choice. We can't just stay here or Denny will find us. Let's just try to stay positive ok?" They both started walking through the snow. "Ok, I'll keep watching the sky and if I see anything big enough to carry us, we hide," Shawn said. "Don't worry Shawn I doubt we're gonna have trouble, I don't think Denny is that desperate to kill us. I'm sure he has better things to do." Shawn rolled his eyes. "Like what? Killing other shiny Pokemon? What better place to start than killing your own brothers!" He replied sarcastically. Fredrick frowed. Shawn let out a miserable sigh. "I can't believe this is happening! I guess he wants to kill me because I'm not crazy like his friend Zeta is! Or Charlie man I hate that Jolteon's guts!" He muttered. "I should have seen the red flags. I mean it was suspicious that Denny never wanted me around!" Fredrick looked surprised. "Sounds like you had a great time with those guys." He said Sarcastically. "Yeah, Denny was always sneaking off doing Arceus knows what!"
Then let out a growl. "Well, I guess I know now why he never wanted me around. He didn't want me to hear his execution plans to eliminate everyone!" Fredrick raised an eyebrow. "I'm honestly kind of surprised Denny thought he could get away with murdering me and Scarlet without you realizing it. I mean you would have eventually found out about him. Especially after killing all those shiny Pokemon." Shawn nodded.
"And what kind of brother would kill their siblings! I mean as Suspicious as I was I would have never guessed that." Shawn said.
Fredrick looked down. "Well, I guess that's Denny for you. But I just don't understand it. Is it because he hates shiny Pokemon or is there something I'm missing?" Fredrick asked.
"Well, I can't say why because I don't know. I guess Darle really traumatized him." Shawn replied and then they kept walking on in silence.
As they were walking Shawn paused his ears pricked up at the sound of beating wings. He felt his blood run cold. 'Denny's followers! They found us! He looked up and saw a Salamence flying overhead. "Oh, Arceus run! He's coming for us!" Shawn yelled. Fredrick shook his head not seeming worried at all. "Ah, calm down Shawn it's not after us, look." Shawn glanced back up and it didn't even look at them. He felt relieved and let out a sigh. "Thank Arceus." He gave a sheepish smile. "Yeah, I suppose I may have overreacted a little." Fredrick nodded as they kept walking. "Ok, let's just-" He was cut off by other voices yelling. "Look! There they are! Get them!" Shawn froze looking back up to see the Salamence make a U-turn and started coming back toward them and there was a mob of Pokemon coming with it. Shawn shot a glare at Fredrick. "You were saying?" Fredrick's ears drooped. "Umm, heh whoops I guess you were right Shawn." Shawn lost his patience. "REALLY FREDRICK? This isn't a game! We're going to die!" He wailed in panic. Fredrick stood his ground getting into a battle stance. "It's ok! We got this!"
"We do?" Shawn asked pointing with his paw towords more Pokemon pounding towords them. Now Fredrick looked scared. "OK RUN!" They both turned tail and began running. Shawn was having a panic attack and anxiety as everywhere he looked there seemed to be Denny's followers coming after them. "Shit! We need to hide somewhere and fast!" Fredrick yelled also looking scared. Shawn looked around desperately. "It's no use! They'll see us!" suddenly Fredrick turned sharply and Shawn skidded a bit falling a little behind. Fredrick yelled. "Keep up with me Shawn!" Shawn pushed harder staying right behind Fredrick.The shiny Flareon ran behind some big ice rocks. Shawn stopped beside him. "Ah, this is hopeless! It's over! Denny's gonna get us! We're dead!" Fredrick growled. "Will you shut up and help me dig? We can hide under the snow. I'm a fire type so we'll stay warm." Shawn nervously peered over the rocks. "Hurry up! They're coming!" He yelled. "Shawn get over here!" Fredrick called and Shawn ran over crawling inside the snow tunnel Fredrick had made. Once they both got inside they quickly buried themselves in so they would be out of sight from Denny's followers. Shawn was trying to control his breathing as he knew he was panicking too much. They were both quiet and then they heard voices. "Where did they go? I could have sworn I saw them come this way!"
"You idiot! Denny will be mad if we don't find them! Everyone split up!" They both waited as they could hear paw steps walking away. Once it was completely quiet they came out. Once they dug out of the snow Fredrick gave a loud sigh. "Phew, that was a close one. Shawn just glared at him. "Yeah, too close if you ask me." He shook his fur out. "So now you'll be more alert?" Shawn asked with a hint of annoyance. Fredrick nodded as he got up. "Come on we're almost out of the mountains. We just have a little further to go and then we'll be in the clear."
'But will we?" Shawn couldn't help thinking as he followed after Fredrick. "I'm sorry but I have a feeling you wrong." Shawn said. Fredrick ignored him and kept walking with his bushy tail held high. Shawn felt annoyed. 'How can he be so confident? and especially after what he's gone through. Doesn't he realize his life is at stake here? I mean he's the shiny here not me.
