Chapter 22 The War With Darle

2 years later
Shawn's P.O.V.

Shawn was pacing back and forth nervously as Denny arranged for everyone to surround the camp. He winced as he noticed he was talking to Zeta in a very quiet voice. Shawn strained his ears trying to pick up on what they were saying. "OK, for now, we'll clean out all the ones who are closest to Darle." He nodded then he padded back over to Shawn. "Shawn, are you ready for this?" He couldn't help but feel nervous and he kept getting a really bad feeling that somehow it might go wrong. "Denny, I...I don't know if I can do this... I'm scared." He admitted. Denny rested a paw on him. "Hey, look at me." He met his brother's gaze. "We worked hard for this. I know you can do it." Shawn shook his head. "But.. What if it all goes wrong? What if-" Denny interrupted him. "It's not going to go wrong, Shawn. We're gonna win this." He placed his paw out. "I need you to trust me. We're gonna go in there together. And we're gonna win I promise I won't let anything bad happen to you." Shawn looked at him nervously. "You promise?" He nodded. "I promise Shawn."
"Now here's what we're gonna do. I have three groups Prepared. we're gonna attack from all sides. The first group which is us are gonna force our way through the main entrance and the others are gonna come through the walls of the camp and join us." Shawn nodded. "Ok.."
"Ok, here goes!" Denny said lifting his tail to give a Signal. "ATTACK!!" He gave the order and they all charged for the main entrance. Shawn felt nervous as there was a shiny Ninetales there on guard then he grew a shocked expression on his face seeing the ambush coming. He turned tail immediately and ran back into the camp unable to stop the intruders. Once they got into the clearing Shawn was shocked as they broke out into war immediately. "THIS IS IT!" Denny shouted out loud. "DEATH TO DARLE!!"

Fredrick's P.O.V.

Fredrick was curled up in his bed snoring softly as he was sleeping. His ears pricked up as a loud sound came from outside. He ignored it until it got louder and more intense. "Fredrick! Fredrick wake up!" He opened his eyes to see his sister staring at him with a panicked look on her face. Then he heard loud Battle cries coming from outside. "Fredrick it's happening now! There's a war going on outside!" He hastily got outta bed. "We gotta go help!" Scarlet looked scared. "Oh, Arceus I can't Believe it's happening today I'm so not prepared for this." He leaned close to her. "Everything's gonna be all right. I won't let anything bad happen to you! This is the day we become free!" Then he bolted outside with Scarlet at his heels. Fredrick was stunned as the moment he stepped outside he got jumped immediately. Scarlet let out a shocked gasp. "FREDRICK!"
It was a normal-coloured Houndoom that was on top of him. He growled opening his mouth to review, his fiery, sharp fangs. Fredrick gritted his teeth as he threw his attacker off of him then lunged at the Houndoom and used a double kick. "You idiot!" He hissed. "We're on your side!" The Houndoom grunted then got back up. He dipped his head to them and then moved on. Scarlet ran to Fredrick's side. "That was weird. Something isn't right their not supposed to attack us. We should hide and-" He cut her off. "It's not his fault Scarlet! He just didn't know what side we were on. Once we join in they'll see." As Fredrick looked at their surroundings he felt a little overwhelmed, seeing how full the camp was. Everywhere he looked. There were lots of Pokémon in combat. with each other. Suddenly Scarlet screamed as she got attacked by a Tyranitar. "AHHH!!" Fredrick got mad and shouted. "STOP!! We're on your side!!" The Tyranitar then threw her roughly on the ground and then moved on. She got close to Fredrick. "OK, we need to get somewhere safe where it's less crowded!"  Suddenly a roar was heard as Darle flew over the camp, using a flamethrower. "Look out!" Fredrick yelled as he got on top of her shielding her from the flames.
"SHINIES! WE ARE UNDER ATTACK! KILL ALL OF THEM!" He got back up and growled watching the shiny Charizard then a voice called his name. "Fredrick!" He turned to look and to his relief it was Zack. "There you guys are! I've been trying to find you through all of this chaos.
Fredrick looked at his friend. "Zack I need you to do me a favour. I need you to stay with my sister Scarlet. Don't let her out of your sight no matter what happens!" He seemed puzzled by the request but didn't object to it either. "Ah, ok." Scarlet looked a bit annoyed but also didn't protest. 'This is her best chance at surviving if a Vaporeon does try to attack her later.
Then he saw a shiny Sceptile fighting with a Mightyena and growled. "Let's help out!" he called and charged at it. The Mitghyena was whimpering as the larger Pokémon had him pinned. "Any last words?" Fredrick dashed forward and used a flamethrower. The shiny Sceptile looked shocked as Fredrick forcefully dragged him off. "What the? You're supposed to be on my side!" He yelled. The Mightyena got up and ran off not even offering to help which annoyed Fredrick. When he looked over his shoulder he felt panicked when he realized he couldn't see his sister or Zack. 'Oh, no! I lost them!' Then while he was distracted he got hit in the back of the head by a leaf blade. "Owe!" He yelled as the Spectile grabbed him. "Oh, Big mistake! No one turns their back on Darle!" Fredrick lashed his class out angrily getting him in the face just missing his eye. He dropped Fredrick and gave a scream then he took this opportunity to use a fire blast and finish him off with overheat. Fredrick felt a spark Of satisfaction, seeing he had taken one down already. He paused not knowing whether he should kill him or not. As he looked around at the other battling Pokemon he inhaled a deep sigh. 'He'll just get back up again if I don't and besides... He's one of the bad ones anyway. As he unsheathed his claws getting ready to aim for the throat he was suddenly knocked aside by a shadow ball. "Hey! what do you think you're doing!" Came an angry yell. He got up to see a shiny Ninetales glaring at him. "How dare you kill your own Kind!" He spat. Fredrick stood tall as he returned the glare. "I never wanted to be part of this. My own kind is equal to all Pokémon!" He retorted. Cleo looked very angry. "This isn't what I trained you for! I'm very disappointed in you! I liked you Fredrick! You and your sister!" Without warning he suddenly lunged at him. "It's a shame I have to kill you now!" He used fire fang and it didn't affect Fredrick except for the sharp fangs. "Hah! I think you forgot I'm Flashfire!" He kicked Celo off. He snorted. "I'm also flashfire! I guess this won't be a fire on fire then." He said with a smirk. Fredrick lunged forward trying to go for a double kick but the Ninetales was slick and fast as he dodged him. "Do you really think you can beat me? I'm the one who trained you!"
"Well, then I must be pretty damn skilled then!" He said as he used a shadow ball and when Celo dodged it just as he Suspected he lunged at him hitting him head-on with Iran tail. Cleo looked shocked as it hit him and then Fredrick used a double kick. As Celo skidded across the ground he got back up. "GAH! I'll show you!" He used psyshock taking Fredrick by surprise as the move landed and before he could get back up the Ninetales slammed into him forcing him back down. "You can't defeat me, Fredrick! Now you're going to die." Just as he was about to go for Fredrick's throat a Umbreon suddenly head-butted into him knocking him sideways as he used Foul play. Fredrick felt his heart skip a beat as the Umbreon stood a few paw lengths away from him. Cleo got up and brushed his pelt off then hissed. "This isn't over! You'll never defeat Darle! And you're going to regret this!" He paused showing his sharp teeth. "By the end of this day Fredrick, you and your sister will both perish. and that's a promise!" Fredrick got frustrated as Celo ran away right after saying that. "YOU COWERED!" He shouted then the Umbreon suddenly ran to him and embraced him in a tight hug. "FREDRICK!!! I'm so happy to see you!" Fredrick's tail wagged excitedly. "SHAWN! It's you!" He pulled away and smriked. "Of course it is! I told you I was going to be Umbreon." He smriked as he looked at Fredrick. "And I knew you were going to be a Flareon!" He looked around excitedly. "Where's Scarlet?" Fredrick frowned. "I sort of lost her. We need to go find her! Perhaps we'll find Denny as well?" He asked scanning the clearing and looking to see if he could find any Glaceons. Shawn nodded but just as they were going a Zoroark ran to them. "Not so fast Shawn! Denny gave orders that you're supposed to stay with me!" Fredrick was taken off guard by that. He glared at the Zoroark. "Where is Denny?" He asked. "Ah, he's busy.." He grumbled. "You must be Fredrick!" He said with a smile. Shawn growled. "I don't want to fight with you Zeta! Leave me alone!" Zeta grabbed Shawn. "No! You're going to ruin everything! Now shut up and come with me!" Fredrick hissed. "Leave my brother alone!" The Zoroark shook his head. "Sorry can't do that. We need him he's part of our plans!"
"Then let me help! I want to be part of it too!" Fredrick argued. Zeta smiled. "OK, I have a message for you. Once Darle dies take your sister with you out into the woods." Fredrick paused that seemed like an odd request. 'Why would we go out there when the battle is happening over here?
"I suppose... Can you please explain why?"
But to his annoyance, he got no response as the Zoroark had already dragged his brother away getting lost in the crowd of fighting Pokemon. He gritted his teeth together then got completely taken off guard as he got punched in the face. *Smack*
He tumbled down and groaned in pain. Once his vision cleared he saw a shiny Lucario standing over him. "YOU!" He shouted picking Fredrick back up and using a power-up punch to send him flying back again. Fredrick got back up and yelled. "Why are you attacking me? I thought you hated it here?" He asked and the Lucaro had a look of hatred in his eyes. "I hate everyone! Cody was my best friend and now he's dead!" Fredrick dogged him as he came at him again. "That's not my fault! Darle is the one who killed him!"
He used a shadow ball. "I don't care! I hope everyone dies in this war! " Fredrick used a flamethrower and got him. The Lucario looked mad and then used Aura Sphere. Fredrick gave a yell then used fire fang. He jumped back. "Why you!" He was getting ready for another attack and Fredrick got ready waiting for the next move. But then the Lucario suddenly froze cancelling his attack. His mouth dropped open in shock. Feeling puzzled Fredrick looked behind him. He saw a Vaporeon wrestling with a shiny Purrugly. "I KNOW THAT GUY!!" The Lucario yelled sounding mad. "He's that piece of shit Vaporeon who killed Abey and gave us away to Darle!" Fredrick felt his stomach clench. 'So that guy really is trouble.'
"HEY YOU!" The Lucario yelled getting the Vaporeon's attention. "Remember me?" He asked. For a second the Vaporeon looked ready to attack but froze suddenly once his gaze landed on Fredrick. Fredrick was puzzled by this. 'Why is he looking at me like that? It's not like we ever met before... Had we?
He stared for a few seconds longer then turned tail and ran. "OH, No you don't!" The Lucario yelled giving chase. Fredrick was dumbfounded for a. 'What was that about? Something just doesn't feel right. Maybe he has me mistaken for someone else?
He brushed the thought away and immediately wanted to find his sister. 'I got to get to her! I promised I would keep her safe!
Fredrick began weaving his way through more Pokémon. Then a group of shinies ran to word him growling. Fredrick's ears sank. "GET HIM HE'S A TRAITOR!" Fredrick got scared he knew there was no way he could take them all on he turned tail and while they chased after him. "HE'S GETTING AWAY!!" One screamed. Fredrick found a place to hide and gave a sigh of relief. He felt something wet drip on him and hissed with annoyance as it started raining.
'Great! Someone is using rain dance!' Then he glanced over to see that same Vaporeon in combat with Celo. Fredrick stayed where he was and watched. The Vaporeon used hydro pump which hit with a powerful impact because of rain dance. He pinned the shiny Ninetales down planting his claws on his neck. Celo's red eyes were burning with hate in them. "Fine! Kill me if that's what you want but remember this! No matter what you do you'll always be worthless! You'll never be special like us!" Blood splattered the earth as he ripped his throat out then ran off. Fredrick was staring at Celo's lifeless body for a few moments. 'Heh, kind of serves him right.
He left his hiding spot. 'I need to find my sister before she gets into trouble. He began weaving through more Pokemon and began calling out. "Scarlet! Scarlet, where are you?"
