Chapter 27 Trouble is coming

Third P.O.V

It was the middle of nightfall and the four of them were all asleep under a big tree. Jessie and Kyle were huddled together fast asleep while Shawn was lying on his side in a comfortable position. Fredrick however was fidgeting as he was having a nightmare.

Fredrick's P.O.V.
Nightmare

Fredrick was alone in an unfamiliar forest it was foggy and hard to see as he padded forword. He felt very on edge as he was all alone and felt lost.
"Shawn?! Kyle? Jessie?" but he got no answer. Then he saw a river he ran up to it feeling parched he needed a drink. Fredrick cautiously walked up to it and started lapping at the water. Once he had enough to drink he got up and just as he began walking away he froze as he heard a voice. "Hehe, there you are, I finally found you!" Fredrick's blood ran cold. He turned to see purple eyes gleaming through the mist as a Vaporeon stepped out. Fredrick felt his heartbeat getting out of control. "Denny.." He said trying to keep a steady tone. His brother smriked at him as he got closer Fredrick could see see his skin was bloodstained as he glared at him with a deadly stare in his eyes. "Why look so surprised? I told you I was going to find you!" Fredrick was taken off as the Vaporeon lunged at him and sank his claws into him. Fredrick gave a loud yell of shock and ripped away fast losing a big clump of fur. He turned to face his brother. Denny hissed at him. "You didn't really think you were going to get away did you?" He mocked and Fredrick hissed.
"Why can't you just leave me alone!!" He shouted. Denny placed out his paw reliving his scar. "I'm never going to stop until you die at my paws!" His tail was lashing from side to side. "You're lucky you even made it this far! And what's worse you had the nerve to sneak into my home and take Shawn away from me! I HATE YOU!" He screamed. Fredrick jumped out of the way as Denny shot a hydro pump at him.
"How do you think I feel?" He yelled as he ducked out of the way as another water move shot by. "You killed Scarlet right in front of me!" Fredrick wailed then he moved away again just missing Denny's slashing claw. Fredrick used Shadow and hit Denny, He gave a screech of frustration then got back up and gave a mocking laugh. "Haha, Fredrick... Do you think you can beat me?" Fredrick's fur spiked up in defence but he didn't know what to say. "I.... I don't want to fight you, Denny!" Denny leaned closer ready for another attack. Fredrick tensed up. "But I'm not gonna let you kill me!"
"We'll see about that now won't we?"
Denny shot another hydro pump and Fredrick once again moved out of the way Denny used a quick attack and ran up to Fredrick knocking him down then he bit him and Fredrick gave a yell of pain as Denny sank his teeth into his skin tearing it open. Fredrick pushed his hind legs into Denny's stomach and kicked him off with a hard shove. Denny jumped to his paws right away and hit Fredrick with a hydro pump then he grabbed Fredrick by his scruff and started Dragging him towards the river. "No please!" Fredrick cried out desperately. But Denny ignored him and stoped at the water's edge. Fredrick clawed at Denny desperately trying to get away but Denny didn't seem to care.
"Denny, please! Kill me already but don't throw me in the water please, it's torture." Denny looked at Fredrick with a cool look in his eyes, his facial expression was blank and unreadable. "Fredrick, you're going to suffer, you caused me a lot of pain and now you're going to pay for it, you shouldn't have tried running away from me, you should have died in the war now it's come to this."
Fredrick froze in horror his ears went flat against his head. "I... I don't know what you're talking about, I didn't do anything I swear!" Denny eyed him cooly. "You know pretty damn well what I'm talking about you liar!" He clawed Fredrick in the face and then shoved him into the water. Fredrick gave a yell of terror as he splashed into the water sinking below the surface and feeling the cold shock of unbearable pain. He swam up and broke the surface desperately swimming for the shore trying to get out before he fainted.
Denny was watching him through narrowed eyes and then dived into the water. Fredrick started swimming harder trying to reach the shore even though he knew the Vaporeon could catch him in seconds. The water started to whirl and Fredrick felt panic. 'He used a whirlpool! Fredrick sawm harder trying to get to the shore. Once he was close enough he started clawing at grass, but before he could pull himself out claws suddenly sank into his back and Fredrick gave a yell of pain as the Vaporeon yanked him away from the shore and threw him back into the water, where he got sucked into the whirlpool. Fredrick tried to yell but water filled his mouth and he got dizzy and weak from the move unable to fight it anymore he fainted and blacked out.
