Chapter 61 Our New Home

Fredrick's P.O.V.

Fredrick was awoken as everyone else in the gave started shifting and getting up. He glanced beside him and noticed Jennifer wasn't there.
She must have gotten up early today.
Anthony shifted beside him and let out a tired yawn as he woke up.
"Fredrick, can I go outside and explore?" He asked. Fredrick nodded getting up. "Yeah, but don't go too far and make sure you're in sight of others."
"I will I promise." He ran for the fall exit leaving the cave.
Fredrick started thinking.
He has no one to play with it must be hard to have no siblings. But yet again look where am at.
Fredrick fluffed out his fur and ran for the exit. Once he was outside he saw Anthony running around with Lupin playing while Jennifer watched.
She gave Fredrick a friendly smile as he approached her. "Well, well look who's finally up?" He nodded then caught Sparkle's eye. Roary walked over to them. "Fredrick." Roary began. "You're the leader of this camp. we all agreed since this is your war I think it would be a good idea to prepare for it." Fredrick nodded in agreement and called out to get everyone's attention. "Everyone listen up!" He started and everyone gathered around.
Anthony sat with Jennifer watching Fredrick with surprise. "Jenifer is Fredrick the leader?" He asked. "Yes, now be quiet he's about to speak." Once everyone was listening Fredrick began speaking again. "I know we've been through hard times since the last war. But we made it this far and found each other the time has come to ready ourselves for war it's time we put a stop to Denny." Anthony looked puzzled. "Who's Denny?" He asked and Lupin answered him. "A bad guy." Anthony tilted his head in confusion.
Fredrick sighed. "Yet there is still some of us who didn't make it. I have faith that they're not all dead." Roary looked a bit tacked aback.
"Um, what are you suggesting?"
Freicked sighed. "I want to go out and look for them." Sparkle nodded. "I think that sounds good." Roary snorted "Oh yeah? But what if Denny got them?"
"Then we make a plan to rescue them." Roary shook his head. "But we can't risk Denny finding this spot." Fredrick nodded. "He won't we'll be careful I say just a few of us will go."
Anonthy yelled out excitedly. "Oh, oh! can I go!" Fredrick shook his head. "No it's too dangerous for a kid. I think we should head out in groups of two that way no one is alone but we will be able to hide easily in case they do come across Denny's followers." Roary nodded. "I'll go with Sparkle." Lupin looked at Fredrick. "I'll go with you." Anthony looked irritated. "No I want to go with him!" Jennifer nudged him gently. "You are staying here in camp with me." Anthony looked annoyed. "Why can't I go with Fredrick?" He asked and Jennifer frowned. "Because you can't it's dangerous." He still looked confused. "Why is it dangerous? is it because of Denny?" Fredrick sighed. "He's too young to understand." Anthony tilted his head to one side. "Understand what?" Jennifer glanced at Fredrick "Are you going to tell him?" She looked a bit worried and Fredrick thought.
Tell him that we live in a world of danger and he has to hide his whole life? Or about me not being his real father?
Fredrick looked at Anthony. "Listen, kid. You see we're all shinies here." he looked at Lupin and Roary "Well most of us are it's not safe for us to roam around the forest." Anthony glared at him. "I don't get it what is a shiny? And why are shinies so different from other Pokemon?" Fredrick explained to him the difference between Shinies and regular Pokemon.
Anthony finally looked like he understood. "So does this bad guy named Denny hate Shiny Pokemon then?" Fredrick nodded. "But why?" Fredrick was about to answer until Roary cut in. "Look we're wasting time here. Fredrick will tell you later but for now we should move." Fredrick nodded. "I'll see you later ok kid?" Anthony grunted before heading back towards the den with Jennifer following after him.
Fredrick looked at Lupin. "Ok, let's go then hopefully, we'll find more shinies. We'll search half of the forest." Roary nodded with Sparkle beside him. "We will do the other half. and hopefully not have any problems."
Roary and Sparkle already headed off together. Just as Fredrick and Lupin were about to leave Jennifer ran back to them. "Fredrick wait!" She stopped in front of him. "Please be careful you're the main target don't forget." He nodded. "I'll be fine we're just gonna have a look around the forest." She took him by surprise and kissed him.
Fredrick felt his heart leap with joy. "I love you I need you to come back ok?" Fredrick nodded and rubbed his cheek against hers. "Oh, Jennifer I love you too," Lupin grunted. "Umm ahem, I'm right here." Fredrick suddenly felt embarrassed. "Oh yeah. Heh, sorry." Jennifer's face turned red. "Well, be careful then," she said before running back to the cave. Lupin let out a small chuckle. "Heh, well let's be going." They both headed out making their way to higher ground.
