Chapter 48 A New Group Of Shinies

Kyle's P.O.V.

Kyle was awake with Kevin waiting for the others to get up. Kyle couldn't help but feel anxious. "Well, here goes. We'll find out if he'll see through to that promise or if he lied." Kyle said. Kevin gave him a nervous glance and he could tell what the Arcanine was thinking. 'He's worried about me because I'm shiny. Then Jessie shifted letting out a tired yawn and getting up. Denny sat up next as they were all getting up. Kyle padded over to him. "Ah, Good you recovered!" The Vaporeon rolled his eyes. "Yeah no shit. What you didn't think I was dead did you?" Kyle flinched at the insult but thought better than to argue back. "Well, we helped you like we promised so are we free to go now?" He asked. Denny was silent for a few moments gazing at Kyle as if in thought. Everyone sat in awkward silence until Charlie broke it. "Denny you said you would keep your promise." He nodded his head. "You can go." Kyle felt relieved. "Ah, thank Arceus." Denny gave him a cold look. "Kevin can go. Not you." Kyle's heart sank then Kevin yelled in outrage. "WHAT! BUT YOU PROMISED!" His fur bristled. Denny scoffed. "Hehe come on Kevin I also told you that we were gonna save all the shiny Pokemon from Darle before the war. You should have seen this coming." Jessie smriked at them and Kyle looked down at his paws. "I did see it coming. I just didn't want it to be true." Kevin got mad. "I'm not leaving without Kyle!" Denny Growled. "Oh yes, you will! Kevin, I have no use for you anymore!" Kyle shot Denny an alarming look. "Use? What use am I to you?" Denny met his gaze. "I need you to help me find Fredrick and you will. But I'm not having Kevin around!" Kyle stared at him. "Ok, then what happens after? Can I go?" Denny scoffed. "Ha ha, of course, you can but it's not gonna save you. You'll die once I use these orbs and tell them to kill all the shinies." Kyle frowned then Kevin roared. "You're not doing that! Kyle run let's go!" Denny's eyes narrowed. "I wouldn't if I were you, Kyle." Kyle ran up and pushed Denny then made a break for it. 'I wanna live! I need to find Fredrick first to warn him!
Kyle and Kevin started running but to his dismay, Charlie was faster and caught up to them. He used a thunder wave on both of them and they tumbled down then the rest of the group surrounded them. Jessie used her feelers to warp them around Kevin's neck getting him in a chokehold. "Come on Denny! He doesn't deserve to live anymore!" She said in a mean growl. Zeta grabbed Kyle. "Oh, now you're in for it! You're gonna die!" Denny was calm as he walked up to Kevin where Jessie had him pinned down he unsheathed claws. "Kyle, What do you say we settle a new deal?" Kyle watched in shock as he held a claw to Kevin's throat and began to slowly break the skin. Kyle yelled. "NO DON'T DO IT!"
Denny gave him a cold stare. "So what do you say? Do we have a deal?" Kyle was frozen in place he didn't want to be stuck with them but he couldn't just watch his friend died either. "DON'T KILL HIM PLEASE!" Denny smriked. "You will track Fredrick for me or Kevin gets it." Jessie smiled as she asked. "So Kyle what's it gonna be?" He frowned feeling defeated. "Ok! Fine, you win I'll help you but please let him go!" Denny used a hydro pump on Kevin a few times until the Arcanine fainted. Kyle yelled, "Hey, Stop that!" Zeta let him go, and Denny grumbled, "He'll wake up later now Let's go your Luckey I'm being this nice." Kyle frowned as he followed them away he sighed. "I have no idea where to find Fredrick through." Denny looked annoyed then stopped. "Jessie, when was the last time we saw him again?" She answered. "That Lycanroc pack! Remember you sent them out to look." A spark of hope lit in the Vaporeon's purple gaze. "We need to find those Lycanrocs!" He turned to look at Kyle. "And it just so happens we have a Lycanroc with us!" Kyle felt puzzled. "But what can I do?" Denny snapped at him. "Howle you idiot! You can communicate by howling now you better find them or else." Kyle felt stressed out by the whole situation. Charlie was looking uncertain. "What if we ask other Pokemon if they saw him? It could be possible." Denny grunted. "Yeah, sure what a great idea let's just ask every prey we kill if they happened to see my brother. Oh, but wait they wouldn't be alive because I'm sure Fredrick likes to eat the same food I do!" Charlie flinched. "It was just an idea. No need to criticize." Zeta rolled his eyes. "Well, I'm gonna go see if I can find anyone who might know something more useful." He said. Denny turned on Kyle. "Why are you not howling!" He used hydro pump and Kyle yelped in shock then he let a howl escape his lips. Feeling like an idiot he started howling out trying to get a response from anyone that might be neaby but got nothing. Denny looked frustrated seeing that there was no response. "Now, if I was a Flareon where would I be? Nowhere near water that's for sure." He got to his paws and hissed.
"Come on! We're wasting time when nightfall comes you start howling again. But for no, we just need to keep moving!" He ordered as they all began to continue forward. "Oh, we will find him!"
