You walked back through the town to headquarters. Your hands were tightly wrapped around the reins attached to your horse. You looked ahead of you as you walked. Though your mission had failed and multiple people had perished, you still had Eren, the boy who could turn into a Titan.

Your eyes slowly drifted from the road in front of you to the multiple scouts that sat atop their horses, or the injured that were laid up in the carts. You bit the inside of your cheek, you didn't cry in the field and you weren't about to now you were back in the 'safety' of Wall Rose.

"Excuse me, Captain Levi," your (E/C) eyes trailed to a man, striking a similar resemblance to Petra. The older man quickly struck up a conversation with Levi, who refused to look at him.

You frowned, memories of Squad Levi flooded your mind causing you to look at the ground, trying to hide the sad smile that made its way onto your face. Poor Levi, he had lost his entire Squad in the expedition.

The black-haired man ignored Petras' father while he spoke to him. You lifted your head once you regained control of your features, your face stoic and unreadable.

The walk back to headquarters felt like the longest walk you had ever done with the Survey Corps. Erwin instantly dismounted his horse, placing it in his stable and walking off. Other Captains did the same as they helped the injured to their feet and into the large building.

"Captain (Y/N)," you turned your attention to Armin Arlet, a new recruit of the squad. You offered him a small him to show you were listening. Though you were a Captain, you were in the same boat as Levi. Your Squad had died in the previous expedition.

"What shall we do with Eren?" though it seemed like the newcomers had taken a liking to you. More than likely because you weren't as crazy as Hanji or terrifying as Levi.

"Take him to the dorms. He'll need rest. As will the rest of you. You're all excused for the night," you answered, looking around the 104th Cadets.

"Are you sure that's a good idea? There's a lot to be done around here," Reiner muttered. You sighed and turned to attend to your horse.

"I'll take any repercussions. Go rest," you ordered. The group looked at each other before nodding and making their way inside headquarters. Soon you were the only person left in the stables. You rested your head on your horse's muzzle and gave a tired sigh. You hoped what Erwin had done was worth it.

You led your horse back to its stable and sat down on a large pile of hay like you normally did when you wanted to be alone. You were tired, your body was exhausted. You just wanted to sleep and not wake up but you knew that wasn't possible. After all, Erwin would have another plan soon, that you were sure of.

You rested your head back on the walls of the stable and closed your eyes, luckily for you, sleep found you quite quickly.

When you opened your eyes again, it was dark. You blinked and sat up, looking out the stables to the night sky. You had missed dinner but that didn't matter, it's not like you would have eaten. Still, you had to wonder if anyone did really.

Standing to your feet, you petted your horse gently and reached into a nearby bag, pulling out a carrot.

"Good work today, Blue," you whispered, feeding the carrot to your happy horse. You smiled, humming in amusement before making your way from the stables into headquarters. You were rather thirty.
