the next day was my mama's funeral I didn't want to go I cried for hours , thinking it was my fault I put to much stress

I was trying to get ready,  when I just broke down.  I cried and cried until Elvis walked in

"Elvis, I can't go "I said shaking my head, sobbing. He walked over to me rocking me.

"Baby, everything is gonna be okay. I'll be with you" He reassured me, he cupped my cheeks and gave me a kiss.

"But I gotta speak and I don't know if I can "I said almost breaking down again.  Elvis grabbed my jacket and purse. 

"I'll be with you"Elvis said holding my hand, as we walked out. 

we got out the car and there were people already in church the whole neighborhood was there, Paparazzi was lined up and I was not ready to deal with them. 

"Melissa your here"my father walked up to me and Elvis,  He looked like he hasn't slept in days. 

"I wouldn't miss this"I smiled small,  He grabbed my hand for a second.  I walked in church and saw the casket, walked towards it and started sobbing. 

"I can't do this!"I cried and ran towards Elvis, he opened his arms and let me cry on his chest. 

"Baby "Elvis cooed,  He lifted my face towards his.

"I can't go in there E"I mumbled, Shaking my head.  There's no way. 

"You can, Melissa I'll help you I had to when my mama died it was hard at first but I got through it. "He replied He kissed my forehead and held my hand as we walked back in, I walked to the casket and looked at my mama

"oh ma"I whispered Elvis held me close, not letting me go.  she looked so different not her self but she looked like she was sleeping.  me and Elvis sat up front with pa Judy and grandma

"folks I want to  introduce you to my granddaughter Melissa " gramps said to me

Elvis kissed me and I walked up

"hello everyone I'm Melissa Presley"I said and paused

"my mother was the most beautiful kind loving mother she helped people even when people didn't need help she was my best friend and still is there isn't a day I don't think about her "I said crying

"when I meet Elvis my mother knew I was in love she told me before I knew then I brought him home  my mother did make an impression she loved him like her own son"I said and broke off crying Elvis had to help me off stage

"you did great baby"Elvis said and kissed my cheek

after the funeral we drove back to Graceland and we had a party for ma and it was a nice party

"Melissa I'm so sorry about your ma"my best friend from high school said she then hugged me

"thank you "I said

"she was a great person "she said

"yes she was how have you been"I said

"oh just fine I got married a month ago"she said

"congratulations! "I said

"thank you" she said smiling

"where is Your hubby? "I asked

"chatting with Elvis they really hit it off"she said

I looked over and there talking like there's no tomorrow

"is he a Elvis fan?"I asked her

"yes big time"she said

I walked over to Elvis

"honey why don't sing a little something " I said to Elvis

"yea come on E! "Joe said

"alright alright "Elvis said I smiled and patted his chest

Elvis whispered something to the  band they all nodded and smiled

the music started and all eyes were on Elvis

"the way she moves her hips to her finger tips I feel like heavens bound and she starts to say I gotta day she really moves that grass around rock a hula baby rock a hula baby rock!"Elvis sang

everyone gathered around him dancing and singing along

"a well a rock a hula baby of mineeeee" Elvis finished off

"that was amazing E"I said and he kissed him

"thank you, ,I knew you would like that" he said

"wow that was the best performance I've ever seen!"John my best friends husband said

"Thank you " he said

after the party I helped clean up

"baby you don't have to clean the maid is coming tomorrow "he said and kissed my cheek 

"E that's not polite "I said

"your my wife Now you don't have to do a thing"he said

I made my way to the bedroom to do my routine and fell in a deep sleep
