54: Malec

"Go on tell me, tell me you don't love me"

It was rare for Alec and Magnus to argue but when they do they can get really heated and serious. This time was no exception. They had been arguing for days now, neither could remember what they were fighting about but both were too stubborn to give up and to admit that they were wrong.

Alec had just entered the room and yet within seconds both he and Magnus were arguing once again. They were arguing about nothing but petty problems that didn't actually matter to them yet neither could move past their pride and apologies for something they couldn't remember.

Yet this day, they both made the biggest mistake of their lives.

As things became more and more heated Alec interrupted Magnus by saying "God Magnus, you have no idea do you. You have no idea how hard it is for me to be in a relationship with you. I go and have a hard day where I could have lost my life and yet I come here and either get a load of grief about doing something or I sit and listen your pointless complaints. You make it so hard for me to... to.."

Magnus looked directly at Alec, the hurt of what Alec was insinuating only fuelled his anger more causing him to shout, "Go on tell me, tell me you don't love me"

"I don't love you." As soon as the words left Alec's mouth, the whole room went deathly silent as the two male were both too shocked for word. Neither could comprehend what had just happened, but when their current situation sank in Magnus was heart broken, while Alec was consumed with guilt.

Alec went to say something to Magnus but was cut off by him coldly saying "Get out."

"Magnus I...."

"I said get out Alexander, I don't want you here so leave." Magnus shouted, his voice filled with pain as he tried and failed to held the tears at bay that had already started brimming and falling down his cheeks. He refused to look at Alec as he left the apartment.

In the days that followed the two males were a mess. They hadn't talked to each other since and wallowed in the pain and sadness that they had each caused.

Magnus refused to leave the apartment and talk to anyone except Clary. Every room was destroyed as Magnus lost control of his magic when his saddens devoured him and although he could of fix everything with a wave of his hands, he knew they would only be destroyed once again. When ever Clary saw Magnus he would either be crying or had just finished crying, and nothing broke Clary's heart more then the sight of this once love struck, confident, carefree Warlock so utterly broken and heart broken.

However Alec wasn't much better. Unlike Magnus he never showed a single emotion and kept his posture and face void. He refused to speak to anyone unless it was important and would spend all his time training. Jace could feel that pain his Parabatai but no matter how many times Jace would ask, Alec wouldn't open up to him.

Jace and Clary soon decided that enough was enough and that the two needed to sort this out. However they both knew that they wouldn't come see each other voluntarily nor would they leave their safe zone for something that was not important.

So with the help of Magnus' friend Cat, who had also seen the sated the two male were in they devised a plan to lock them in a room together until they talked and sorted this out. Cat helped ward the room against magic, while both Clary and Jace made it impossible for Alec to leave without it being unlocked from the out side.

Cat invited Magnus to meet her there due to some important business that they needed to tend to, while Jace told Alec that it was a Vampire's nest that had broken the Accords and they needed to take them out. Both parties fell for it and they were soon locked in their together.

For two hours tried everything o beak out and refused to speak to each other let alone actually talk to each other. As time passed the atmosphere grew more and more intense and awkward. But as the surrendered to defeat, they began to talk.

They made small talk for a while before they started to talk about their argument. The two expected the other to blame them for it and yet when they simultaneously apologies the two let out a small giggle. Magnus was the first to apologies for everything he said during their argument, and then Alec apologies and said that he never meant what he said and that he loved Magnus more the anything in the world.

The two made up and shared a small, sweet kiss before Jace, Clary, Izzy and Cat opened the door precariously and asked that is it was over and if they made up. Alec and Magnus just looked at each other and smile, both completely in love with the other and happy that they were once again speaking to each other, before looking back to the others and nodding.
