"Just say it's okay. I just need to hear you say it."

after everything that Nico had gone through it was not a surprise that he had major anxiety. Fighting two wars as well as walking through Tartarus alone would do that to someone. But after deciding to stay in Camp Half Blood and meeting his now boyfriend Will Solace, he was able to handle it better but sometimes it could really cause him problems.

The day was like any other. Will was up early to start his shift in the infirmary while Nico slept in late. But as Nico slept, he started to toss and turn as sweat beaded on his brow. The vivid images that would often haunt him of his time in Tartarus as well as the suffering and death he witnesses during the wars, materialised in his unconscious mind until he woke up, fear was clear in his eyes as a scream attempted to leave his lungs but was caught in his throat.

Anxiety plagued his body and mind as he trembled uncontrollably and tears streamed down his cheeks. Nico curled around himself as he was rendered unable to do anything. His breathing became more shallow and laboured as he continued to sob silently and tremble in fear.

Will continued to work until he heard the horn that signalled that it was the end of breakfast, that was when he notice that something was wrong. Normally Nico would have come to the infirmary by now to see him and they would make sure that they had eaten.

Will asked one of his siblings to cover for him before leaving and sprint towards Cabin 13. Upon reaching the cabin door, Will knock but when there was no answer, he walked and only to see Nico curled up on the bed, his breathing were short shallow gasps and tears were flowing down his red face. Fear shined clearly on his face.

Will walked over to him slowly and softly so not to startle him and cause his anxiety attack to worsen. Sitting in front of Nico, Will asked softly "Hey Nico, is it ok if I touch you." Nico just looked at Will and slowly nodded.

Within seconds Nico was being held in Will's arms tightly enough to bring the small boy comfort and not to freak him out further. Will rocked them back and forth as he whispered soothing words into his ear, helping him even out his breathing. Nico rested in Will's lap as he held him close.

Minutes passed and all that could be heard was Nico's breathing and the occasional whisper of encouragement from Will. Soon the silence that blanketed them was broken by Nico saying "Just say it's okay. I just need to hear you say it." after Will asked if there was anything that Nico needed him to do.

Will just tightened his grip slightly on the love of his life as said "Its okay darling, it's all going to be okay. I promise Nico, its all okay." As he stroked his hair and kissed his head gently. Soon Nico fell asleep in Will's arms. Will shifted them slowly so they could lie down properly and not wake Nico up. Once they were settled down, Nico still safe in Will's arms, Will whisper "I promise, everything will be ok my love." before letting sleep consume him.
