27: Merthur

"I would've had breakfast ready but you were sleeping on my arm and I didn't want to wake you"

Merlin was happy that he was finally dating the live of his life, Arthur. Granted they had rough patched but their love for each other was stronger than anything. Six months down the line they were still going strong despite the problems they have encountered, however they main problem was not getting caught.

They knew that Uther wouldnt be happy about their relationship so they kept it a secret to protect each other. This was easy for Merlin seeing this wasnt the first secret he had kept. But like his magic he found it harder and harder each passing day to keep it a secret.

Merlin loved the times when it was just him and Arthur, he just felt safe and this was no different when they slept side by side. However due to the fact that someone could walk in at any moment, it was rare that Merlin could stay in Arthur's Chambers. It would also become quite suspicious to guards or servent seeing Merlin leave with other ever entering.

On one of the lucky occasions where it had been quite late by the time Merlin came to leave  and Arthur asked him to stay the night, Arthur had managed to roll onto Merlin's arm in his sleep.

So when Merlin woke up early as he normally would, he found himself unable to move and do his daily chores with out waking the sleeping prat. So Merlin took this time to think of some spells he may try later in the evening and admire Arthur as he slept as he would alway wake him up as soon as he entered the room.

Arthur soon woke up only to see Merlin still in bed, smiling down at him. He looked around the room and noticed that his dirty clothes and armour were still on the floor and there was no breakfast on the table. Although he thought he worked Merlin abit to hard sometimes, they had to keep up the appearance of lord and servant and Merlin not doing his chores could cause suspicion to rise.

Arthur then asked "Merlin, not that I don't mind you still being here but have you not done anything this morning, like get breakfast?"

"No, but it was fairly difficult to do anything. I would've had breakfast ready but you were sleeping on my arm and I didn't want to wake you" Merlin said quietly.

Arthur rolled off of Merlin' arm and asked him to get breakfast and after that to start immediately on his chores after pecking Merlin on the lips. Before leaving Merlin said "Yes your Royal Prat." pretending to bow.

Arthur threw a pillow at the door as it was closing before shaking his head and whispering  "Idiot" with a smile on his face.
