Chapter 32: Academy Ball I

Nakatingin sila Xyan at Roseth sa akin, magkatabi sila hindi na ako nagulat ng makita ko ang corsage sa kanang kamay ni Roseth.

"What's the matter Niah?" Tanong ni Xandre na kinakapitan ko. Kasalukuyang lumalakad parin kami papunta sa kabilang dulo ng gym.

"Nothing may pumukaw lang ng attensiyon ko. Let's just enjoy this night ok! Ayaw kong masira ang moment na 'to by just anyone." Pag iba ko ng topic namin baka malaman pa niya madamay ko nanaman.

"Niah. You will be ok, you will surpass it sooner or later. I'll be here I wont let you down I'll be always be there for you. Alam kong hindi ko mapapantayan si Xyan sa puso mo but I will try my best for you because I'm serious." Tugon niya.

"Xandre thank you I really appreciate it. Hindi ako magsasawang pasalamatan ka kahit habang buhay pa yan. I am so lucky na nakilala kita. Tonight Xyan will only a past friend to me. And you'll be my present" Tugon ko sa kanya. Sana hindi na ako magkamali sa magiging susunod na desisyon ko.

"Niah, I want to make it official and start today. Gusto kitang ligawan at ngayon ko sisimulan." Lumuhod ito sa harapan ko at hinawakan ang kamay ko na tila nagpropropose. "Jenniah Dumlao will you let me court you? I am asking for your approval Niah. I want to enter into your heart and live there forever. Hindi pa man tayo masyadong magkakilala but I am comfortable to you I know na isa ka sa may mahalagang part sa buhay ko. I will make a promise na hindi kita iiwan and I will make even more promises kung ang magiging bunga nito is to be with you forever."

"Xandre you dont need to do it. Please stand." Pagsuway ko sa kanya. Isa-isa na silang nakatingin sa amin.

"You should be treated as a Princess that need to be respected. You are a Princess and even without a tiara you deserve to be protected and treated like a precious gem." Tugon niya at nanatiling nakaluhod.

Naiilang ako sa ginagawa niya. They are always doing that, they are being too gentleman at lagi silang full of effort. But Xyan also called me as her Princess yet look what happened?

"Xandre I was once called as a Princess pero dahil umasa ako nasaktan lang ako, a dagger, no, a sword was dragged in my heart at hanggang ngayon hindi pa ito tuluyang gumagaling." Pagaalinlangan ko. Alam kong he already promised that he won't let me down but yan din yung promise na pinanghawakan ko.

"Niah. Please I'm not that person I can promise and keep that promise. Hinihingi ko yung approval mo. Just give me your approval and let me take care of you." Tugon niya.

Humiwalay ako sa pagkakahawak niya at inalalayan siyang tumayo.

"I know that you won't let me down I believe in that. And yes my trust is yours Xandre. Magtitiwala ako ulit. Gusto pa kitang mas makilala Xandre. Yes, you have my approval." Pagsang-ayon ko.

Dahil sa saya niya napayakap siya sa akin. Narinig ko namang nagsigawan at nagpalakpakan ang mga tao sa loob ng venue.

Ok enough of this scene, hinila ko na si Xandre at tumungo sa kinaroroonan nila Alexis.

"Awww kayo na sweet." Tugon ni Alexis kasama si Silver na hindi nakangiti. Maybe because he's in Xyan's part.

"Good evening Alpha Students. I can say that everyone is very elegant and well prepaired for today so as the Faculty and Staff. Tonight is the night to remember wherein we make magical memories. Its the Alpha Academy's 49th founding anniversary and just like every anniversary the school will conduct a Ball wherein females will wear a gown and a cocktail dress then suit and vest for males. Without further a do let me intoduce to you our guest speaker for this event, she is a alumni of this Academy she is born here in the Philippines but currently working at London as a famous Architecture. Everyone lets meet her with a round of applause. Ms. Xyra Mateo!" Announce ni Maam Deline. Natulala nalang ako nang marinig ko ang pangalan niya at makita ko si Ate Xyra papataas ng stage.
