Anna's POV

I had been on cloud nine for like a week now. I was so happy with James, he was such an amazing boyfriend. Abi and the others came over a few times and we just jammed. I had my bad times but there was always someone there.
"Anna?"
"Yeah?"
"Uh I haven't told you yet but we are going to New York for an awards show."
"Woah! That's amazing dad! Wait am I going?"
"Of course you are." He laughs, "Why wouldn't you be?"
"I dunno." I shrug. "When are we going?"
"Uh about three days."
"Okie."

"Bye. I will."
I kiss James before following mum and dad through security. My anxiety is never good at airport security and dad knows that. He grabs my hand in a comforting way as we walk to the terminal. We still have an hour or so until we can board so I grab out my laptop to edit some music I recorded. Dad and Pete were helping me create an album which I was very excited for. I grab my earphones and plug them in. I start involuntarily tap along to the music, I look up to see dad filming me. I grin and shake my head. I check dads story to find me tapping along and moving my head to the music that they can't hear. Dad has captioned it 'what is she listening too? 🤔🤔🤔'

"Flight NY632 to New York City is now boarding. Flight NY632 is now boarding."

I pack up my laptop and board the plane.
"You ok?" Dad whispers once we are on the plane.
"I'm not sure, maybe." But I was shaking. Dad notices and grabs my hand.
"You're safe it's all ok here take your earphones." He hands them to me and I plug them into my phone. I press play on my calming playlist. The first song that plays is Milestone. Joey's audio plays in my ears and I match my breathing to the guitar playing. Dad lets me lean up against him and I do so.

To James: I've landed :)

We get off the plane and we get driven to the hotel. Zack looks at me through the revision mirror and I smile awkwardly at him. I plug in my earphones but I can hear his conversation with dad.
"Brendon is she going to be ok with all the people at this event?"
"I'm sure she'll be ok."
"She's not good with lots of people Brendon."
"She's getting better at handling it though."
"Ok."

We get to the hotel and I immediately recognised someone.
"Frank!"
"Urie!"
I topple him over with a hug.
"It's been so long how have you been?"
"Pretty good, I may or may not be creating an album and I may or may not have an amazing boyfriend."
He stares at me, shocked.
"I. Want. To. Hear." He demands and I laugh.
"Anna come get your bag." Dad says and I run back to the car and grab my suitcase.
"Can I hear some? Can I hear some?" Frank says like a little kid all the way to my room. Yes my room. Dad got me my own room because he assumed I was old enough to take care of myself and to be safe by myself.
"What is Frank going on about?" I turn around.
"Gee!" I drop my bag and jump on him. "I've missed you."
"Missed you too kid. Now Frank why are you pestering her?"
"She's creating an album and I want to hear." Frank says poking me after each word.
"Wow A, that's amazing I didn't know you were doing that."
"Neither but like I'm not at school anymore so I have more time."
"What why?" Gerard tilts his head.
"Oh right you don't know basically the school didn't believe I had anxiety and treated me like shit so dad and I decide it would be best if I didn't attend." I say while opening the door.
"Shit man." Frank says.
"It's fine, I'm happier."
"That's good." Gerard smiles.

"Now can I pleeeeease hear some of your music?" Frank pleads. I laugh and message dad.

To dad: Frank wants to hear some of my music is that ok?
