Anna's POV

I follow Cali upstairs to find her throwing up in the toilet, crying.
"Hey it's ok." I say softly and move her hair out of her face.
"I-I'm s-s-sorry."
"Don't apologise I know it's hard."
She sits up and looks at me.
"I just disrespected Sarah didn't I?" She says worried and I shake my head.
"You didn't."
"But I just threw up after eating what she cooked and it wasn't her fault it's mine."
"It's ok, she will understand trust me."

Someone knocks on the door.
"Can I come in?" It was dad. I look at Cali who shakes her head.
"Not right now dad."
"I have some water if you want it."
I look at Cali.
"I don't want him to see me like this. He'll hate me."
"No he won't. Dad is one of the sweetest people and he helped and is helping me during my recovery and if you want he can help you. I'm not the best person to help you in this kind of situation but dad helped me so he might be able to help you."
"Ok." She whispers.
"You want him to come in?"
She nods.
"Ok dad you're allowed to come in."

The door opens and dad sits on the other side of Cali. He hands her the water and she sips it. Dad doesn't say anything but wraps her in a warm hug.
"I'm sorry Mr. Urie."
"It's ok but oh god don't call me that." Dad laughs, "you make me sound old."
"Ok Brendon."
"That's better." He rubs her hand. "Would you like to come back downstairs? You don't need to eat right this moment we just need to talk about what to do next."
"Ok." She nods.

We go downstairs and join Mum and James.
"Cali?" Mum asks.
"Yeah."
"What's your last name?"
"Ryan. Why?"
"So we can try and find a family member that you can live with, you can't go back to you father we won't allow it."
Ryan. Why does that last name sound familiar? Ryan. Where have I heard that?

"A, you good?" James says noticing me staring off.
"Yeah just thinking about where I've heard that last name."

"Cali, we are going to have to report this to the police though." Dad tells her.
"No!"
"We need to hon your father can't get away with this." Mum tells her.

4 hours later. 4 hours worth of Cali being interviewed by the police, they finally let her be. They were going to make her go into a group home until they found someone but I managed to convince them to let her stay here with us for the time being so I knew she was safe. James, Cali and I sit on the couch watching a movie but I wasn't paying attention. I was still racking my brain trying to think of why Cali's last name sounded so familiar. Suddenly it clicked in my brain and I jump up.
"Anna?"
"I'll be back." I say and run into dads studio.

"Dad I know!"
"What?" He says very confused.
"I know why Cali's last name sounds so familiar."
"It's a common last name darling."
"Yeah but Debby."
"What?"
"Debby Ryan."
"I mean it's a common last name but we can look into it."
"Thank you dad."

Brendon's POV

I decide to look into Anna's suspicions about Debby. I call Josh.

"Josh?"
"Hey Brendon everything ok?"
"Yeah. This is going to sound odd but is Debby with you?"
"Yeah why?"
"Can I talk to her?"
"Yeah sure."
"Hello?" I hear Debbys voice.
"Hey it's Brendon."
"Hey Brendon everything ok?"
"Uh so this sounds odd but does the name Cali sound familiar to you?"
"Uh no why?"
"Long story short, I have a girl at our house with the same last name as you and she's recently ran away from home due to an abusive father."
"What's her fathers name?"
"Hold on."

"Cali?" I say walking out to the living room.
"Yes?"
"What is your fathers name?"
"Cameron."
"Ok thanks."

"Cameron." I say to Debby.
"Cameron Ryan. Sounds familiar I think I have an uncle named Cameron. I'm free this afternoon how about I come visit you guys."
"Thank you Debby."
"Of course see you soon."
"Bye."
