Song of the Chapter: Standing With You by Guy Sebastian

Frank's POV

I could hear tossing and turning in the room next door where Anna was but I thought nothing of it but I soon hear a small sob so I get up and make my way to Anna. I crack the door open to see Anna curled up in a ball, crying.
"Fr-Frank?"
"Yeah it's me, what's the matter?"
"N-nightmare."
"Can I sit next to you?"
She nods and I do that and pull her in close. I could feel her heart pounding.
"You're safe. It's only me and Gerard in the house."

Well I was there on the day
They sold the cause for the queen
And when the lights all went out
We watched our lives on the screen
I hate the ending myself
But it started with an alright scene

I sing to her quietly and I could feel her heart rate slowing down.
"I'm sorry Frank. I'm so pathetic." She whispers.
"No you are not. Not at all. You have been through so much and you are so strong. I would never be able to go through what you have been."
"I don't want to."
"Don't want to?"
"I don't want to go through this anymore Frank. I'm hurting everyone."
"We love you so much Anna."
"I love you guys too."
"When do you get your stitches out?"
"Soon. And I can't wait. I hate these crutches."
"Want to go downstairs for coffee?"
"Yes that sounds great."
I smile and carry her downstairs.
"I can walk you know?"
"I know but why walk when you can be carried."
"But like I'm so heavy." I stop in my tracks.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing."
"You are amazing and don't listen anyone who says otherwise."
She shrugs her shoulders and I just wished I could take away all her sadness and pain.

I turn the coffee machine on and grab out a couple of cups. Anna was sitting at the breakfast bar watching me. When the coffee was made, I sit next to her and a few minutes later Gerard comes down.
"Is that coffee I smell?"
Anna and I laugh.
"Good morning to you too Gee." She smiles and I get up and grab another cup for Gerard. I made him a cup and hand it to him.
"Thanks. So how are we today?" He says and looks at Anna who shrugs.
"I don't know, I know I have to face what happened yesterday and I don't want to."
"We'll be there to support you if you want."
"Please."
"Anna I think you should tell Brendon what you told Gerard last night." I say.
"He will send me away Frank."
"No he won't."
"You didn't hear him."
"He wouldn't have meant it A. He's worried about you."
"I don't want to hurt him."
"Stop protecting him he's your father and he's going to worry ok? He loves you so much." Gerard tells her and she nods.
"I know but I'm scared to admit it to him." I hug her.
"How about we all go over to your house and talk to Brendon?"
"Ok." She whispers.

When we get to Anna's house, Brendon answers the door and embraces her in a hug.
"I thought you had gone A. Don't do that again." I hear him say into her head.
"I'm sorry."
"Why don't we go inside and talk?" Gerard says and Brendon nods.

Sarah runs and hugs Anna tightly.
"I'm so glad you're safe."
"I'm sorry."

Gerard, Anna, Brendon and I all go to the backyard and sit outside.

"So I think we need to talk." Gerard starts.
"Anna I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you about the program but I'm so worried about you, you're hurting yourself it's scary." Brendon tells her.
"It thought you wanted to get rid of me."
"Never. Oh A never I never want to get rid of you. I love you so much. I was just so worried about you and so is Pete and Tyler. Tyler told me about you calling him and even though you didn't say anything, he knew that you were having a bad night. You are allowed to come to me, even if you came to me the night before. You can come to me all day, every day ok?"
"Ok. I'm sorry dad."
"Anna? Tell him." I whisper to her and she shakes her head.
"I can't."
"Yes you can. I'm right here."
