Anna's POV

"Kid what did you do?" Pete says rushing into the room. James has left and Mum and dad has gone to get coffee. Pete walks in and see my bandaged arm.
"You didn't."
"If you're thinking like the hospital, no if you're thinking like me, yes. No this wasn't a suicide attempt, yes this was a 'I broke drown from the thoughts and went too far'."
"Oh A what happened. Come on explain to uncle Pete." He pulls up the chair closer to me and I just laugh.
"Uncle Pete?"
"Yes."
I laugh.
"No but in all seriousness, what happened?"
I tell him about what happened in the shops and what Georgina shouted at me and dad had to take me out to calm me down. I explain how the thoughts wouldn't be quiet and wanted me to go further. I say how I didn't know what I was doing and then all I knew was my arm was covered in blood. And how the doctors not only think this was an attempt but they are keeping me in here because I lost a lot of blood and because I haven't been eating.
"I promise you Pete. This wasn't an attempt at my life."
"I know I know."
"Dad wants me to talk to James."
"What do you mean? Doesn't he know?"
"He knows I self harm and use to struggle to eat. He doesn't know about the voice or that I'm struggling to eat again."
"Why don't you tell him?"
"I'm scared he'll leave me."
"Why would he? He didn't when he found out about the other stuff."
"He found out those things before we were together."
"I think you should tell him, and if he has an issue with it he can speak to me."
"Maybe. Anyway how are you? How's Patrick and Andy and Joe? How's your family? I haven't seen them in ages."
"Yeah we're all good. You'll have to come visit. Saint has missed picking you up after school. He is confused on why he still has to go to school but you don't. I tried explaining online school but he doesn't get it."
"Aww bless."
"Patrick heard about your music and wants to listen to some, like now."
"I can imagine he's like Frank."
"What do you mean?"
"Frank begged me to show my music to him until I gave in but I only showed him a chorus and he wanted to hear more."
"Well when Pat found out he started jumping up and down saying 'show me show me show me' it was funny."
"Yeah that sounds like Frank."

My eyes start shutting and I try and fight it.
"A, go to sleep."
"No I can't."
"It's ok you can you're safe."
"No I can't Pete you don't understand all I see is Liam or a foster parent."
He grabs my hand and looks me in the eyes.
"I'm here you're safe ok? Uncle Pete will protect you."
I laugh, What was with this Uncle Pete thing?
He plays with my hair and softly sings to me. I try and fight falling asleep but Pete's voice was relaxing.

I wake up ok for once. I did get scared when I opened my eyes and I wasn't in my house but I soon realised where I was and my arm was itchy so I tried to scratch it but I was stopped.
"Don't do that little Urie." I turn my head to see Tyler and Josh.
"Oh hello."
"Hey kid."
"Why are you here? And when did you get here? And how did you know I was here?"
"Brendon told me you were here and I flew in about an hour an half ago."
"Oh." How long was I asleep for? I look at the clock 2:30. Wow 6 hours.
"What happened kid? Why didn't you call anyone? You know you could of."
"I know but I didn't even realise I had done it until it was too late. The hospital thinks it was an attempt but it wasn't Ty and I just want to go home." I choke up and Josh gets up off his chair and embraces me.
"It's ok little Urie, you're ok. Shh you can cry if you want but you're ok."

"I'm sorry, I'm a 17 year old who is acting like a 4 year old." I say, once I finished crying.
"It's ok. You're scared and hurt. It's fine." Josh says. I look over at Tyler who had a glazed look over his eyes.
"Tyler? You ok?"
"Yeah just don't hurt yourself, you have so much to live for ok? You need to stay alive it's not worth it." He says and walks out the door. I give Josh an odd look.
"I'll be back."
