Song of the Chapter: Missing You by All Time Low

Anna's POV

It was the day of my live radio session. New Years was amazing, everyone had come over and partied. When the clock hit midnight James kissed me and when we parted there was a lot of friendly teasing.

There was a knock at the door and dad opens it.
"Ready?"
"Yep." I say and place my hairbrush down on the dresser after I had finished braiding it.
"All good?"
"Yep definitely." And it was true, I had a pretty good time mentally recently being a lot happier and all.
"That's good."
"Are we leaving now?"
"Yep."
"Sorry I can't come."
"That's ok James." I say, giving him a kiss.
"I'm going to have it playing at work though, they can't stop me."
I laugh and hug him, he was so supportive.

James gets in his car and drives to work as mum, dad and I all get into dads car.
"What song are you going to play?" Mum asks on the way there.
"Arcadian I think."
"Lovely."

Brendon's POV

I smile at her through the review mirror. She seemed a lot happier lately. I was surprised she wasn't anxious about this whole live session but she seemed to be handling it well, or she was hiding it. But I didn't think it was that because she was a lot more open about when she was anxious.

We dance to some Fall Out Boy on the way there. The three of us get out of the car and walk into the radio station.
"Hi you must be Anna?" A man says and holds out her hand. She nods and shakes his hand.
"Correct."
"My name is Lucas and I'll be running today's session."
"Awesome."

Anna gets her guitar ready and Sarah and I take a seat, watching her. I was so proud of my darling girl she gives us a smile and we smile back.
"She's so happy." Sarah says and rests her head on my shoulder. I nod and kiss her head.

"We are here with Anna Urie." Lucas starts the session.
"Hello."
"How's it going?"
"Really good thank you how are you?"
"Well thanks now you're going to play one of your songs?"
"Yep."
"Ready whenever you are."
"Uh this one is Arcadian."

She looks over at us and I give her the thumbs up. She takes a deep breath in and begins.

James' POV

"Uh this one is Arcadian."

I smile as I hear my girlfriends voice say on the radio while I make coffees.
"What are we listening to?" Callum asks me.
"My girlfriend."
"Wait really?"
I nod.
"Geez she sounds amazing."
"I know right."
"Stop smiling like a dork." He nudges me and I laugh.
"Boys back to work." Our manager Grace says sternly. We nod and turn our attention to the coffees and our customers.

"Cali?" I call out and a girl about 14 comes up to grab her coffee.
"Thank you." She says quietly.
"You're welcome." I smile.
"Is this Anna Urie?" She says addressing the music.
"It is indeed."
Cali gives a small smile.
"You like her music?" I ask her.
"I love it."
"Me too."
"I met her when she was on tour with IDKHOW and she was so sweet and caring."
"Wait," I say as I think back to then, "so that's why your name is so familiar, Anna's mentioned you."
"You know Anna?"
"Yeah she's my girlfriend."
"That's so cool and she mentioned me?"
"Yeah."
"Do you think she still remembers who I am?"
"Definitely."
"Can you hello to her for me?"
"Of course I can."
"Thank you."

Cali smiles and walks off.
"You know her?" Callum says.
"Sort of, my girlfriend does."

Anna's song finishes and my shift finishes about 6 hours later.

Anna's POV

When I finish playing, I knew it wasn't the best. I had forgotten what chord came next and stuffed up the lyrics. But I just smiled until the cameras turned off and I was in the car.
