Awsten's POV

Brendon places his hand on her back and rubs his hand in circles.
"You're ok, you're ok. It's only Awsten and me."
"I'm sorry." She sniffs.
"No don't be. I'm sorry for triggering you." I tell her.
"It's not your fault."
She sits up and looks at her dad. They have a silent conversation and she shakes her head.
"Come on let's get you home." He says.
"Thank you for today Awsten."
"Of course if you ever want to play together again, just send me a message."
"Will do."
She gives me a hug and follows Brendon to the car.

Anna's POV

We drive home and I knew dad was glancing at me but I had my earphones in. When we do get home, I leave them in and go to my room. I hear knocking and see dad. He comes in and hugs me tightly.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
"Dinner will be ready in about 15 minutes."
"Ok, thanks."
He smiles and leaves me be. I think he knew I just wanted to be alone with my music.

From Awsten: hey hope you are ok, sorry again.
To Awsten: I am, don't be sorry it's fine
From Awsten: I couldn't help to notice, but when you were scratching your arm and your sleeve rolled up I saw some cuts. Did you do that yourself?
To Awsten: I'm ok
From Awsten: Anna have you hurt yourself
To Awsten: I'm fine, don't worry about me
From Awsten: that doesn't answer my question jelly bean, but if you don't want to talk about it that's fine, just please don't hurt yourself. You are amazing and shouldn't hurt yourself. If you ever want to talk, I'm here, with no judgement
To Awsten: thank you. You are amazing

I started tearing up at the message.

To James: I love you x
From James: love you too baby girl how are you?
To James: I'm ok. I hung out with Awsten today and had fun
From James: nice are you free tomorrow?
To James: I think so
From James: cool. I'll pick you up at 5:30
To James: ok :) do I need to do anything
From James: just be your amazing self

Maybe life might get better?

"Anna! Dinners ready!"
I walk downstairs and help myself to a small serving of the soup mum has made.
"Thanks mum."
"Of course, how was your day?"
"Yeah alright how about you?"
"Average. But coming home is always a highlight, I get to see my two favourite people."
Dad and I smile while Penny Lane barks.
"Oh yes and you too." Mum laughs and so do dad and I.
"Can I go out with James tomorrow night?"
"As long as you stay safe and call me if anything happens."
"Thank you, I will."
"What's happening?" Mum asks.
"I don't know, he said he's going to pick me up that's all."
"Nice."

"May I be excused?"
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah."
"Alright."

"A. James is here."
"Ok I'm coming."
I walk downstairs and meet James at the door.
"Well don't you look amazing." He says, giving me a kiss. I smile at him. We say goodbye to mum and dad.
"What's the plan for tonight?"
"We are just going a movie and then dinner is that ok?"
"Sounds great. Anywhere is good with you."

We spend the evening together and it made me so happy, and forget about everything that has happened.

"Peter? Why would you suggest that?" Abigail exclaims. The five of us were hanging out in my room, it had been about two weeks since my date with James and everything was getting better, at least that's what they all thought. I had gotten much better at hiding my pain.
"I'm sorry, I just thought it would be fun."
"Yeah but you know about her past."
"Uh hi? I'm still here?"
