Anna's POV

"Seriously? You were arguing over me?"

Zack showed up 10 minutes after I called him.
"Zack, stop don't." Dad says.
"No, no hold on. What?" I stop him. I actually wanted to know why they were arguing about me. "What happened in New York?"
"Anna, please don't worry about it."
"I would dad but you guys have barely spoke since and I know that you guys would have gotten over it if it was nothing. So it's obviously something."
"Your father was really worried about you so I told him to calm down and he lost it at me."
"I lost it at you? You told me that she wasn't mine!"
"Ok yeah that was too far I'm sorry about that but I had to deal with the label and explain why you weren't there."
"I know I probably shouldn't have left but you told me to send my daughter to a facility and shit."
"Well she's not mentally well."
"You dragged me to New York when she needed me."
"I had no choice. The label isn't very impressed with you."

"Dad! Zack! I'm still here. Are you serious Zack? You yelled at dad because he left because you were talking shit about me? And dad did you serious let me get in the way of your meeting? You told me that they were all over with."
"Anna you aren't healthy."
"No shit Zack, I know thanks for reminding me." I say about to cry.
"I'm sorry Anna but you need to get a hold of your mental health. It's interfering with your fathers work."
"Zack! For fuck sake what is wrong with you?"
"Dad don't. I know you agree don't you? I'm stopping you from creating music aren't I?" Tears were threatening to fall.
"Anna,"
"Dad you haven't released any music since I came into your life, I'm just in the way."
"Anna no."
"Brendon she's right."
I didn't know what else to say. So I said, "just sort your shit out and leave me out of it, I'm trying Zack. I'm trying." And I leave. I go to my room and shut the door. I sit on the floor at the side of my bed and cry softly.

"Hey what's wrong love?" I look up to see mum.
"Oh hi." She sits down beside me and hugs me.
"What happened? I heard you, Zack and B talking and then you left upset."
"Dad left New York early that time because Zack and him got into an argument about me. Now Zacks saying that I'm interfering with dads work. I've stop him from getting music out with my crappy mental health haven't I?"
"Don't worry about that, don't listen to Zack we all go through troublesome times and you are lucky that you have people that can support you."
"But it's true. Dad hasn't released any music since I've been in your life."
"That's not your fault, he is just struggling to think of ideas."
"Because his mind is cluttered with my problems."
"Anna you don't have any problems."
"I am a problem."
"No you aren't."

"A?" We look up to see dad.
"I'll let you two talk." Mum says and gets up, dad takes her place.
"I'm sorry about Zack. He shouldn't have said any of that, we should have been adults and just dealt with the problem and not acted like children."
"I'm sorry for always being such a problem."
"You aren't Anna, you were just trying to help our friendship."
"But I'm the reason the argument happened."
"A, please stop blaming yourself."

"Dad?"
"Yes A?"
"Is it ok if I spend the night somewhere else? I need a break."
"Where are you going to go?"
"I'll try Pete."
Dad nods and I grab my phone. I get sent to Pete voicemail which means he didn't have his phone on him or he was asleep so I try someone else.

"Anna? Everything ok?"
"Hey, are you busy?"
"No what's up?"
"Is it possible for me to stay with you tonight?"
"Of course you can, everything ok?"
"Not really."
"Alright, I'll be there in 10 minutes."
"Thank you."
"Of course jelly bean."

I hang up and look at dad.
"Awsten will be here in 10 minutes."
"Ok, I'm sorry."
"It's ok, it's not your fault I just need a break for a night."
"I understand."
