Song of the Chapter: One More Light by Linkin Park

Anna's POV

My friends were leaving, I kinda fucked up my sleep schedule by not sleeping last night. I was hugging my friends goodbye while falling asleep.
"Love go have a sleep or at least a nap." Mum says once my friends had left.
"I'm ok." I say while making my 3rd cup of coffee.
"A you're not. That's the 3rd cup in the last 2 hours."
"I'm fine."
"A you aren't you're literally going to induce a panic attack with all that coffee." Dad says.
"Nah I'm fine."
"Anna go sleep." Dad says taking the mug out of my hands. I pout and reluctantly agree. Once I get to my room, my head hits the pillow and I'm asleep.

Brendon's POV

"Thank goodness she went to sleep." I say, drinking her coffee. Sarah smiles and shakes her head at me.
"What? I'm not going to let it go to waste."
"Yeah I'm glad she's gone to sleep, she looked exhausted."
"She didn't sleep last night because she was scared of having a nightmare or a panic attack. She was up in the studio all night. Pete said she called her and she's falling back into old habits, not eating and stuff."
"What are we going to do?"
"I don't know." I shrug.
"I don't want to see her that bad again."
"I know, I don't either."

We hear an ear piercing scream and I run upstairs to find Anna shaking and gasping for breath. This is exactly what she didn't want to happen. I hold her like I used to and quietly sing to her.

Should've stayed, were there signs, I ignored?
Can I help you, not to hurt, anymore?
We saw brilliance, when the world, was asleep
There are things that we can have, but can't keep

If they say
Who cares if one more light goes out?
In a sky of a million stars
It flickers, flickers
Who cares when someone's time runs out?
If a moment is all we are
We're quicker, quicker
Who cares if one more light goes out?
Well I do

The reminders pull the floor from your feet
In the kitchen, one more chair than you need oh
And you're angry, and you should be, it's not fair
Just 'cause you can't see it, doesn't mean it, isn't there

If they say
Who cares if one more light goes out?
In a sky of a million stars
It flickers, flickers
Who cares when someone's time runs out?
If a moment is all we are
We're quicker, quicker
Who cares if one more light goes out?
Well I do

Who cares if one more light goes out?
In a sky of a million stars
It flickers, flickers
Who cares when someone's time runs out?
If a moment is all we are
We're quicker, quicker
Who cares if one more light goes out?
Well I do
Well I do

She calm downs and snuggles into my shoulder.
"You alright?" I say.
"Yeah, how long was I asleep for?"
"Uh 10 20 minutes. Not long."
"This is why I don't like sleeping dad."
"I know darling but sleep is important you can't live on coffee. You'll have panic attacks that way."
Sarah comes in with a glass of water. She hands it to Anna and she takes it with a shaky hand.
"I was thinking we could go visit the doctor and see what they could do about this?" She suggests and Anna shakes her head.
"No. Not again. Not another doctor."
"Darling I know it's hard, but don't you think it would be a good idea? Just to see what they say? We don't have to do what they say unless you want to." I say.
"Will you come?"
"Of course." I kiss her forehead. "Why don't you try and sleep again?" I say hoping for the best but I assumed she wasn't going to.
"No." She says like I assumed.
"Alright love. Wanna come downstairs?"
"I might just stay here and watch some YouTube if that's ok."
"Yeah of course it is. Let us know if you need anything or anyone."
"Thanks dad."
