Song of the Chapter: Falling Too by Tyler Joseph

Anna's POV

I didn't want to do this.

But I knew I had to address what happened.

Gerard's talking to me made me realise that I can't keep destroying myself.

"Anna?"

I look up to see Becca.

Dad and I follow her into her room. My leg bounces as I sit in the chair.
"So what's happened? Brendon mention something happened last night that you needed to talk about."
"I don't want to talk about it but I have to." I mutter.
"What happened?"
I shake my head and look at dad. My eyes plead him to get me out of here.
"Anna?" Becca says and a tear rolls down my face. Dad place a hand on my arm.
"Do you want me to talk?"
I nod and look at the floor.
"She went to a party with her friends last night. She ended up having some drinks and getting drunk. She then went to the bridge and wanted to jump."
"I see, Anna why did you have something to drink?"
"I was at a party with other teenagers."
"Were you pressured?"
"Not really, it was my choice."
"Is that all? You didn't use it as a coping skill?"
I shrug.
"Dad took away my blade and I dunno, I just thought it was a good idea." I mutter.
"Ok, explain what happened after you left the party."
"I was walking around and the voice was telling me things and I found myself climbing the railing and looking out. My boyfriend found me and tried to get me to come down but something was stopping me and I couldn't. He got dad and finally Gee came and convinced me to get down."
"Why did you want to jump?"
"I'm sick and tired of pretending everything's fine."
"Do you still want to?"
I shrug and curl up into a ball next to dad. Becca writes on her pad of paper.

"Anna, I think it would be best for you to go into hospital. Just for a few days. I'm concerned about your safety."
More tears roll down my face.
"You will be ok." Dad whispers. "So what's the next step?"
"Well, I'll send this information to the hospital and you can take Anna there this afternoon. We will go from there, I will be her psychologist still but she will undergo treatment. One on one therapy and group therapy."
They keep talking but it was all muffled, background noise. It was final. I was being admitted. I tried avoiding it but apparently I couldn't.

"A? You ready to go?"
I look at dad, terrified.
"Let's go home first and pack."
I nod my head.

We get in the car and I stay silent.
"It will be ok Anna. It's just a few days and I'll be there everyday, so will Sarah. I'm positive that James and Gerard and even Pete will come visit if you want them to." I lean against the cold window. "We can go get ice cream?" He says, trying to lighten the mood but I wasn't paying much attention.

"How did it go?" Gerard says as we walk in the door. I just shake my head and hug James.

Brendon's POV

I knew she wasn't happy with this idea but there was slight comfort in my mind that she would be in a place that was safe. Anna walks upstairs with James.
"Everything go ok?" Gerard asks, seeing Anna.
"She's being admitted this afternoon."
"Oh, wow ok."
"Yeah her therapist thought it would be best for her safety."
"That makes sense, is she ok with it?"
"I don't know, she hasn't said anything."
"Anything about the admission?"
"No anything at all, since we left she's hasn't said a word. I'm going to go check on her and help her pack."
"I'll come too."

We go upstairs and walking into Anna's room after knocking on the door. She was laying face down on the bed, James rubbing her back in comfort.
"A we have to leave in about 2 hours."
"Leave what do you mean?" James asks.
"Anna didn't tell you?"
"No, she hasn't said anything."
"We have to go to the hospital, just so she can stay safe."
James nods and Anna shakes her head.
"Come on A, let's get you packed up."
She shakes her head again.
"Brendon, James and I will stay here. You better go call Sarah to tell her."
I nod and leave the room after taking another look at her.
