Song of the Chapter: Nobody like the Opening Band by I Don't Know How But They  Found Me

Anna's POV

"Are you sure you'll be ok? Because I can come if you need. Or-"
"Dad. I'll be fine. I'll call you everyday ok? I'll let you know what happens ok? And I'll have Dallon and Ryan."
"Ok I'm going to miss you."
"I haven't left yet."

It was the night before I go on tour with Ryan and Dallon and I was excited. Dad on the other hand, was worried about me. I was assuring him I was going to be ok. Dallon has already asked me how he could help with my anxiety and panic attacks, knowing how prone to them I am. He was such a father and I knew I was going to be safe.

Dallon and Ryan were coming to pick me up in the morning at about 10 and we would have soundcheck before having a LA show where everyone was coming to. Pete, Josh, Patrick, Mum, Dad, Abigail, James, Layla and Peter. Tyler was going to come but he had stuff he couldn't get out of, so he was coming to the Ohio show and I hadn't heard from Gee or Frank, they were still on tour but I don't know where. But after the LA show we were getting on a tour bus and driving to Phoenix.

I was having less and less nightmares and panic attacks thankfully which made dad agree to letting me go on tour. There was a point where dad was either not let me go or he was going to come along. I knew he didn't have the time to go on tour so I'm glad he's letting me go. He leaves me alone to finish packing and once I do, I pull out my laptop and watch a Jessie Paege video.
"If you want clear skin, go stream Someone We Know by Anna Urie."
Holy shit she knows who I am and she listens to my music. Jessie Paege. She had such an amazing voice and was so talented.

"Anna? You've got a big day tomorrow time to sleep." Dad says coming back into my room.
"Ok." I turn my laptop off and give dad a hug goodnight. I make sure my phone is on charge and I get into bed.

———

I wake to dad shaking me at 9 am.
"Get up darling, it's 9. They'll be here in a hour." I groan but once I realise what was happening, I jump out of bed. Dad leaves me to get ready. I throw on some jeans and a hoodie, I was going to be getting into what I would wear on stage later tonight. I go downstairs to find that mum had made waffles with strawberries and ice cream. I grab a small waffle and a few strawberries and sit at the table. While eating, there was a knock at the door.
"Doors open!" Dad calls out and in come James, Pete, Dallon and Ryan.

"Congratulations!" James says, hugging me from behind. "You're going on tour."
"I know, it's crazy." I whisper.
"You'll do amazingly."
"I hope so."
"I know so."
I smile as he kisses my head.
"Now, eat up and then you're on your way."

Once I finish eating, thanks to James and dads persistent manner, I go upstairs and grab my stuff. I only had one suitcase, my guitar and my phone, laptop and a shit ton of chargers.
"You ready?" Dallon says.
"I think so."
"Scared?" He says sitting on my bed.
"How did you know?"
"Fatherly instinct." He pats the space next to him and I sit down next to him. "Talk to me."
"I'm scared of what's going to happen on tour, I've only been on one tour and well, it didn't really go well. I've never sung in front of a big crowd before, the biggest was my class and I had a panic attack afterwards."
"Well that tour was 3 and half years ago a lot has changed and you're never going to get over your fear of performance unless you do it. You aren't going to be alone, you have me and Ryan. You'll be safe."
"I know, thanks Dal."
"Of course."
"Dads talked to you hasn't he?"
"Yeah. He's worried about you."
"I know he is. But I'm sure I'll be fine."
He smiles and hugs me.

I take my things downstairs and hug dad.
"I'll be fine dad. I have another dad on tour with me."
"I know. Also don't think you'll be able to get out of eating, I know you're getting better but I know that when you get anxious or whatever you don't eat."
I sigh quietly, I knew dad would have told Dallon.
I hug Pete and mum too. Finally I hug James.
"You'll be completely ok? Ok I promise. Call me if you need ok. Don't even look at the time."
"Ok. I love you James. I'll see you tonight."
"See you tonight baby girl."
