Song of the Chapter: March to the Sea by Twenty One Pilots

Anna's POV

"Ok I'm ready." I smile and walk downstairs. I had black jeans, a white top and a red jacket.
"Don't you look lovely." James grins and kisses me.
"Gotta look good for the boyfriends mum."
"You would look good in a garbage bag."
"Weird compliment but thanks." I laugh.
"Alright you two let's go." Dad laughs as he grabs mums jacket and puts it around her.

We get into the car, laughing. Dad drives us and we sing and dance to entire way. I was a little nervous, especially after last time but James was certain that she had change.

When we arrive there was two police cars and an ambulance. James leaps out of the car and runs up to the house and I chase after him.
"James, wait."
"Mom?" He calls out.
"Uh sir, who are you?" A police officer asks.
"James Scott what's happening?"
"I'm going to have to ask you to step outside."
"Where's my mom?" He says panicking a little. I grab his hand.
"James, I'm sure everything's ok." I say softly. He shakes it off and runs further through his house. He runs upstairs and stops in shock.

"Mom? Mom! Mom!" He cries and I run up behind him. I gasp at the sight. A woman, who I presumed was his mum, was laying on the floor, blood coming from her head.
"Mom!" He screams.
"James, come on let's go." I say.
"Mom!" He cries.
"Sir please leave we will have to talk to you later."
"Mom!" He cries and I drag him out of the house and we sit on the grass out the front of his house.

"What happened?" Dad says running up to us I don't think he went in but now wasn't the time to explain because James was currently freaking out.
"Hey James, it's ok."
"I c-can't b-br-breathe. A-Anna w-why can't I-I b-breathe." He says panicked and pull him in close.
"Shh it's ok, you're ok it's just a panic attack."
"I-I'm s-s-scared w-what h-happened?"
"Shh don't think about that now just slow down your breathing I know it's hard but you are going to be ok I promise. I'm here and I'm not leaving." He keeps crying into my shoulder and I could feel his heart beating out of chest. I keep rubbing his back and I start singing softly.
"I c-can't-" he chokes out.
"Shh it's ok. Don't think about talking yet wait until you can breathe. Follow me. In slowly and out." We do it a few times and combined with me rubbing his hand he was finally breathing normally.
"You're ok, you're safe."

"Hey how about we get home?" I look up to see dad and mum was talking to the police. I nod and stand up. I pull James up and he passes out as I do so.
"Woah." I say. Dad helps me carry James to the car and once we get home, upstairs in the guest bed. I sit next to him on the bed and play with his hair. Dad walks in with two glasses of water.
"Here." He hands me one and places one on the table.
"Thanks." I say and go back to playing with James' hair.
"When he's awake, the police are here to talk."
"Ok."
"You alright?"
"Mhm."
"Ok let me know if you need anything."
I nod and dad leaves me.

I've never been with someone having a panic attack, only ever experienced them and that was pretty terrifying. I can't believe that mum, dad, James, Pete, Gerard and everyone all have experienced me going through that. I sit there for a while until I feel movement.

"Hmm?"
"Hey baby you ok?" I say softly.
"Why am I here?"
"You don't remember?"
"I remember arriving at moms house, finding her and then me thinking I was dying that was horrible what happened?"
"You had a panic attack."
"That was horrible I can't believe that you go through those I thought I was dying."
I hug him tightly. He sits up and winces and grabs his head. I hand him the glass of water and he takes a sip and leans on my shoulder. I don't say anything and neither does he. But then he starts crying.
"Hey it's ok. What's going?"
"My mom." Was all he says and I wrap in a hug.
"It will be ok."
"Unless I imagined it, I don't think so."
"Maybe she's ok?"
