14. Who, You.

AUTHOR NOTE - DO NOT SKIP THIS: 

This has been hard to write, especially the part after where I have put the YouTube Clip "Hold On" by Nightcore (cover of Chord Overstreet). I struggled a lot with my own demons writing this, but I'm proud of the result. If you are having a hard time with your own demons, or depression, you will unfortunately be able to relate too well to that part. PREVIOUSLY: (3rd Person P.O.V) The brunette watched, eyes widening and more than a little bit stunned, as Kakashi turned on his side, reached out with both hands and gathered the young man into his arms; pulling him in and moulding their bodies together with the blond's head on his shoulder- the blond whimpering, and curling into Kakashi as if he were a shield that would protect him, Kakashi kissed the blondes forehead and made reassuring sounds. Grinning a little sadly, Iruka spoke to himself and the empty room. "Dude, you are so whipped for this kid... but what happened while you were on this mission? Where did you find him? What reason would you have to bring him back, I wonder, is it because of his jinchuuriki seal? You never bring anyone back to your place, man, but.. I'm glad you found someone, that you finally have someone who can give you what you deserve.." yet he felt the familiar pang of loneliness echo in his heart.

3rd Person P.O.V
In Naruto's Mindscape...

Kakashi felt weird for a minute, like his body was warming up, but a loss of connection had Naruto reaching out for him and whimpering. The older of the 2 reached out and after a few moments felt his blonds warmth, fitting Naru into his body he whispered soothing words, "Hey, baby, it's okay. I'm not going anywhere okay?" Kissing Naruto's forehead, he tucked the younger blond's head under his chin. A few moments after that Kakashi heard a familiar voice echoing, "Dude, you are so whipped for this kid... but what happened while you were on this mission? Where did you find him? What reason would you have to bring him back, I wonder, is it because of his jinchuuriki seal? You never bring anyone back to your place, man, but.. you know, I'm glad you found someone. That you finally have someone who can give you what you deserve, you're not even wearing your mask around him," 

"Iruka?!" He said, startled, looking around for the brunette he was sure he had just heard speak. "Kurama. What's.." The silver haired ninja didn't get any further than that because he doubled over, crying out in pain before disappearing from Naruto's mindscape and arms. "Kura?! What happened? Where did 'Kashi go? Did he.. ?" Naruto started his volley of questions before Kurama wrapped him in a warm hug. "Sshhhh, hey, he lost focus on his chakra kit, he's been pulled out of your mindscape but you know he'll be okay Kit. Come with me, let's go make sure your wolf's okay, yeah?" The young blond kit had tears pooling in his blue eyes as he nodded, wrapping his arms around the fox he mumbled, "Come with me?" "Of course, Kit, of course I will." Closing his eyes, Naruto's consciousness came back with a sharp snap of pain, but given that he didn't care what happened to him, he ignored it. The first and only thing he was worried about was Kakashi.
