Posting this because it's Jeon Jeongguk (Jungkook of BTS) and Kim Young Jo (Ravn of Oneus) birthday's today - September 1st, 2020.

I wanted to make this longer but I also want to post now because the story itself is already at OVER 5500 words (not including all my notes) so I'm splitting this chapter into two parts.

1st: I'll apologise once for going on about BangTan Sonyeondan.

CONGRATULATIONS to BTS for taking home FOUR of the 2020 VMA Awards (Video Music Awards) on August 30th. BTS are the first non-English speaking act to do so in the history of the VMA's. BTS took home awards for Best K-Pop for "ON", Best Pop for "ON", Best Choreography for "ON", and Best Group (overall). Dynamite is their first and only 100% English song. BTS released it because they loved how it sounded and they all wanted to cheer us up to make us feel better in the COVID-19 situation so we would not be as sad.

I speak no other languages than English (they're from South Korea & speak like 18 languages or something) and I found them at a time in my life where I truly believed that my life was so fucked up and I was beyond hope, and I was ready to commit suicide. I was at the point where I had everything worked out to successfully kill myself.

I was scrolling YouTube randomly to pass the time (it wasn't the day I had chosen to kill myself) and a suggested song up came up called SAVE ME by a group called BTS. I clicked on it out of curiosity. I watched the video and I went from there because the lyrics of their songs are written from their own personal experiences. And I believe almost ALL of their songs have English lyrics of some sort.

The messages of their songs (through subtitles watching the music videos, the Run! BTS episodes, the speech that RM gave at UNICEF Assembly) as well as the Love Myself Campaign they began in 2017 with UNICEF has helped me accept my own flaws and my mistakes, and helped me be able to love myself a little more. Each of their MV's tells a story that I am able to relate to, whether in part or as a whole.
BTS are the only Asian group who have collaborated with UNICEF in the past, and they are also the only Asian group who have been invited by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and UNICEF to come back and collaborate again with them.

This group through their music and their messages of hope and love has helped save many people like myself.

THESE are only some of the reasons I promote them so much. I relate to the stories and their experiences that they choose to share with us, and that they continuously strive to be better for ARMY (Adorable Representative M.C's for the Youth), themselves and those around them.

That's it from me for now. I'm bawling so I'm going to go and just drop SAVE ME by BTS below... After this I'll try and restrain myself from going on and on but I won't make any promises. I love you all.
