LORELEI COULDN'T HELP BUT GRIN AT THE SCENE IN FRONT OF THEM. Brizo sat, perched on her shoulder with a smug face as well. He hated Umbridge since she tried to take him away in the first term. Fred and George stood on either side of her for protection, just in case, of course. Umbridge wouldn't get far enough to harm them, but Lorelei appreciated the thoughtfulness of their actions.

"So!" Umbridge yelled triumphantly, glaring at the three of them. She had her own smug smirk on her face, but Lorelei was not afraid. She noticed Harry join the crowd, worry crossing his features for a second, but she winked at him making him grin. "So... you think it's amusing to turn a school corridor into a swamp, do you?"

Lorelei laughed. She actually laughed. Brizo made a sound of laughter as well, causing those in the crowd to chuckle, but the fear of what was to come was clear on their faces. She thought about their final prank at the school.

Fred and George had been working on the portable swamp for months. Lorelei had been tweaking things here and there, but it was their creation. When she let off their last three fireworks in one corridor to draw Umbridge that way, she gave Peeves dung bombs to throw at the Inquisitorial Squad members. He did so happily. Fred and George set up the swamp, throwing Stinksap at anyone who tried to stop them.

They all met up in the courtyard, where Umbridge and her little minions thought they had cornered them. Peeves flew above them, dung bombs in hand, waiting for their command.

George grabbed Lorelei's hand as Fred said with a grin, "Pretty amusing, yeah." Neither the twins, the mermaid, or the crab had any fear. Lorelei was ready to leave.

Filch made his way to them now, parchment in hand. "I've got the form, Headmistress," he said hoarsely. "I've got the form and I've got the whips waiting... Oh, let me do it now..."

"Very good, Argus," she said. "You three," she went on, gazing down at Fred, George, and Lorelei, "are about to learn what happens to wrongdoers in my school."

Brizo huffed on her shoulder as Lorelei said," You know what, you ugly pink puff? I don't think we are."

Fred turned with a grin to George. "George, I think we've outgrown full-time education."

"Yeah, I've been feeling that way myself," said George lightly, tightening his hand on Lorelei for a second before letting it go.

"Time to test our talents in the real world, d'you reckon?" asked Fred.

"Definitely," said Lorelei.

And before Umbridge could say a word, all three of them raised their wands and said together, "Accio Brooms!"

Harry watched as two separate crashes were heard somewhere in the distance. Harry ducked as Fred and George's brooms flew to their hands as Lorelei's came from somewhere in the Gryffindor dormitories. Fred and George took off the metal chains around their brooms as Brizo sat comfortably in Lorelei's pocket.

"We won't be seeing you," said Fred to Professor Umbridge, swinging his leg over his broomstick.

"Yeah, don't bother to keep in touch," said George, mounting his own.

Lorelei sneered at her as she hovered a bit in the air. "I hope you rot for what you put me through this year."

"If anyone fancies buying a Portable Swamp, as demonstrated upstairs, come to number ninety-three, Diagon Alley--Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes," Fred said in a loud voice. "Our new premises!"

"Special discounts to Hogwarts students who swear they're going to use our products to get rid of this old bat," George added, pointing to Professor Umbridge.

"STOP THEM!" shrieked the pink puff, but it was too late. As the Inquisitorial Squad closed in, Fred and George kicked off, following Lorelei.

The hovered about fifteen feet in the air, level with Peeves. Fred grinned at all of the students, finally locking eyes with Peeves the poltergeist. "Give her hell from us, Peeves!"

And Peeves, whom no one had ever seen take an order from anyone besides Lorelei here and there, swept his belled hat from his head and sprang into a salute as the twins and Lorelei wheeled about to the tumultuous applause from the students below and sped out of the open front doors into the sunset.

Lorelei clutched Brizo's shell with her hand as she directed her broom with the other hand. She grinned, feeling the freedom she felt on a broom again. It almost took away the terrible feeling of her skin. Brizo shrieked a bit when she did a dangerous trick, laughing at the wind in her hair. She loved flying.

"Come on, Lor! We have to make it to Grimmauld before dark!" Fred yelled after a few moments of allowing the mermaid to fly about.

"We won't! It's too far," George added. "We'd do better going to the Burrow."

"I don't care where we go!" Lorelei yelled happily, doing another barrel roll in the air, Brizo shrieking once more. "We're free!"

George and Fred looked at each other with happy smiles. They hadn't seen her look this happy in a while. They traveled until after dark as George had said. The Burrow was closer, but it was still far away from Hogwarts. Fred was using his wand as a compass while George stuck close to Lorelei who was still grinning. Brizo was sleeping peacefully in her pocket.

When they landed at the Burrow, no one was home much to the twin's pleasure. They didn't feel like dealing with Molly's yelling yet. They decided to Floo to Grimmauld as Lorelei wanted to see her uncle and godfather. She refused to go into the Weasley's pond when offered because she could never use it again. She hurt too much thinking about it.

As soon as they Floo'd into Grimmauld, they wished they hadn't. Molly's shrieking voice awoke Brizo.

He was not a happy crab.
