Ch.72 - Bad News

Jin POV:

Everything after that photoshoot was hectic.

We spent the night trying to get Kya to sleep, promising her the second we woke up in the morning we would be out of the house and on the road.

Knowing there was no way we would be able to see her tonight and that would have hurt her more.

After three hours she had finally cried out all her energy and fell asleep in Jungkook and Tae's arms. It hurt my heart to see her like this, it also hurt to think what Ms. Gomez was going through.

She was a very nice woman and she of all people didn't deserve to go through this. We all slept in the living room that night, not wanting to leave Kya alone.

When we woke up the next morning Kya had already made breakfast but didn't say much, having already packed bags the night before we throw them in the back before hopping on the highway.

Even during the car ride, I had her sit up front his me, and I just stroke her thigh trying to find any way to comfort her.

When we got to the hospital Ms. Gomez was connected to all these different machines, Kya broke down when she walked in, Gloria was sitting in a chair beside her and put her head do to wipe away her tears caused from the scene in front of her.

She soon stands and we all slip out of the room wanting to give them some privacy.

"Is she okay?" I ask and she looked up me trying to pull a smile across her lips.

"She will be."

Kya POV:

When I saw her lying in that bed my heart broke, she had a colorful head wrap around her head. I had to hold my hand over my mouth to stop me from crying.

"M-momma what happened." She looked over at me a weakly smiles, trying to sit up. It tears my heart to see her like this, my mother never liked to admit she was weak at any time.

"Oh just forgetting to take my vitamins is all." She lightly laughs and coughs afterward pressing the buttons on the remote to make the bed lean up.

I come up and pull a nearby chair up to her bed, laying my head on her legs.

"Gloria really scared me last night. I thought something bad happened to you." She laughs and starts to stroke my hair.

"I just fell amor, I'm fine." She says and I raise my head.

"Momma I know that's not true." The head wrap on her head starts to slip because she's leaning forward, I reach up and slowly pull it away to show her shaved head and I knew exactly what it meant.

"W-What stage are you in?" A tear slowly slips down her cheek before she wipes it away and places her hand on mine.

"It's stage two, but you know I won't let it take me without a fight." She smiles up at me and wipes away the tear that was sliding don my cheeks.

"No llores cariño." She tried her best to smile but I could see the sadness in her eyes and it hurt me to know she was hurting.

"I'm gonna be here to help you feel better and get back on your feet." She chuckles and squeezes my cheeks.

"I wouldn't expect anything less, I thought I was supposed to be the parent." We both lay and I lap down on her legs just wanting to be comfortable and with her. I didn't know what happened but I found myself falling asleep to her stroking my hair and the sound of cartoons on the tv.
