Bill Gambini

I sit tapping my nails against the table nervously.

A few minutes later, Bill enters the room.

He's wearing white prison attire, I turn my head away from the door.

I can't even look at him, tears well up in my eyes.

"Hi baby, please can I have a hug?" Bill says to me, his voice is soft.

I stand up from my seat and run over to him, he grasps my body tightly as we hug.

I cry into his chest, he rubs my back.

"Please don't cry Y/n, I'm okay baby I promise" he comforts.

"I-I know but I miss you! Why can't they understand that you didn't kill anybody!" I cry out.

He calms me down and then we sit together at the table, he holds my hands in his.

"How are you holding up babe?" He asks me. 

"I'm fine, I hate that the bed is empty every morning when I wake up" I reply sadly.

He squeezes my hands and kisses my head.

"Me too. It's not so bad here but I'd rather be back home with you where I belong" he says. 

"I really hope your public defender can save you" I reply.

Bill looks at me awkwardly. 

"What?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.

"We're uh, we're using my cousin Vinny" he explains.

I gasp and pull my hands away from him.

"Your cousin Vinny? Vincent Gambini from Brooklyn?" I press further.

He nods his head to confirm.

"Isn't he the one that came down to our family bbq and almost ran me over?" I cross my arms.

"Yeah...He's still sorry about that by the way" Bill laughs nervously.

"I don't know babe if that's a smart choice, you'd really taking a big risk. If you end up going to prison for life-" I can't even finish my sentence, I'm trying not to cry again.

"Don't worry, I trust him. Do you trust me?" Bill says, he pushes a strand of hair behind my ear.

"I do trust you, I just can't lose you Bill" I say quietly.

Bill lifts my chin with his finger and kisses me passionately. 

It's needy and harsh but I don't mind, I can still feel his touch lingering on my lips even after he pulls away breathlessly.

We cuddle, an officer comes into the room 10 minutes later.

"Gambini, let's go" she orders.

"I love you Y/n" Bill says, he kisses me again quickly.

"I love you too Bill" I say with a smile.

My smile disappears as I watch him be taken away again. 

I sigh deeply before going home, I just hope Vinny can save him.
