I lay on my bed staring up at the ceiling.

I'd been dumped by my ex-boyfriend the week before and I'm still not taking the news too well. 

Looking at the clock with teary eyes, it's almost 4 pm. 

I snuggle down and try to forget about the world when there's a knock on my door.

"Come in" I call out in a wavering voice.

Eugene suddenly enters my room, closing the door with his foot. 

He carries his guitar in his case which he places down next to the wall.

"Hey Y/n" he greets. 

I sit up and quickly wipe my eyes with my sleeve.

"Hey Eugene, what are you doing here?" I ask curiously.

"We have band practise at 4, we planned it from yesterday?" He replies with a confused chuckle. 

"Damn I forgot about that" I say quietly, rubbing my neck.

He quickly notices something is wrong and sits next to me on the bed. 

"Are you okay?" He asks in concern. 

I shake my head.

"Alex dumped me for another girl he's been seeing behind my back" I explain.

I burst out crying again thinking about it. 

Eugene instantly cuddles me, massaging my back for comfort.

"He never deserved you Y/n, a beautiful girl like you shouldn't go through that" he says softly. 

I sniffle and wipe my eyes again. 

"You think I'm b-beautiful?" I reply. 

"Of course I do" he smiles.

We stare at each other for a few minutes before he leans in and kisses me gently.

"Can I uh, play you something?" He asks, stroking my cheek when we finally pull apart. 

"Yes please" I whisper. 

I watch as he stands up and takes his guitar out of the case, taking a seat on the chair opposite.

Eugene begins playing his guitar, I sway my head along to the blues music.

When he finishes, he places his guitar down and joins me back on the bed.

"T-thank you" I snuggle into him. 

He wraps his arms around my body and holds me close. 

"How about I take you on a date sometime?" He asks curiously. 

I look up into his eyes and smile. 

"I thought you'd never ask."
