I sit in the courtroom nervously, I'm about to find out if I'm going to lose Bill or not.
The judge clears his throat.
"Will the jury foreperson please stand? Has the jury reached aunanimous verdict?" He asks.
"Yes" The foreperson answers.
The clerk is handed the verdict paper from the foreperson who hands it to the judge.
The judge reads it silently before handing it back to the clerk for the reading of the verdict.
There's a silence, I glance at Bill with tears in my eyes. I can't lose him.
Bill sends me a quick kiss with his hand, I can see how nervous he is too.
A minute or so later, it's time to hear their fate.
"The jury finds the defendants not guilty" The clerk declares.
"Oh my god!" I gasp, I start crying.
Bill and Stan hug Vinny tightly, Lisa is letting me cry into her shoulder.
I'm feeling so relieved right now, it's overwhelming.
"The jury is thanked and excused. Court is adjourned" The judge announces.
Everyone rises from their seats as they start to exit.
Lisa and I wait outside by the car for the boys.
Eventually, Bill, Stan and Vinny join us outside.
"Baby!" I cry out.
I run up to Bill and jump into his arms, I can feel more tears rolling down my cheeks.
"I'm free baby, no more waking up to an empty bed" Bill says, he's crying too.
He smothers me in kisses before I place my lips on his, kissing him passionately.
We wipe each other's faces when pull apart, he smiles at me.
"Vinny, I cannot thank you enough for saving Bill and Stan. It really means a lot" I thank Vinny who nods at me.
"What can I say eh? You're all family" Vinny grins.
"Least we can get married now huh" Lisa says, chewing on gum.
Vinny looks away quickly, she hits his arm playfully.
They laugh and pull each other in for a kiss.
"Wish I had someone to kiss" Stan sighs.
I walk up to him and plant a kiss on his cheek.
"Better?" I ask with a smile.
"Thanks Y/n" Stan chuckles.
I hold Bill's hand as all of us walk to the nearest diner to celebrate.
I sit on Bill's lap, he holds me close.
"I love you" he whispers in my ear.
"I love you too" I whisper back, leaving a small kiss on his forehead.
"No more stealing tuna eh?" Vinny says jokingly, pointing to Bill and Stan.
"We'll try" Stan says which makes us all laugh.
I run my hand through Bill's hair and snuggle into his chest.
Finally, the world knows they're innocent.
